Japanese firm Xenoma, debuted its smart shirt e-skin, that can capture body movement to create virtual characters for VR games or personalized fitness and healthcare applications.

The smart shirt uses printed circuit fabric with 14 sensors that can monitor a user’s motion. The company says e-skin can be worn like a regular shirt, and is machine washable.

The shirt comes with e-skin software development kit that supports both Android and Windows devices. According to the company representatives, e-skin can integrate devices such as temperature sensors or accelerometers.
