does anyone else feel weird & not good or is it just me

It's been a minute since I've talked about darts.

The ending of last season was rough for my team. At times it felt like the boys had just given up. I on the other hand started shooting a bit better which was my goal.

Summer season has started. I got kinda lucky. Between relationship complications, worrying about not having fun or not being good enough I wanted to do remote singles. My boyfriend was upset when I told him. Luckily though the dous we would of done landed on a day that didn't work for anyone in my group and remote singles landed on our normal Thursdays so we all decided to do remotes.

My first set of games did not go well. Between having to reschedule getting it cleared through my home bar only to show up for the rescheduled times and be told I couldn't play out of my bar which lead to in person games and starting my period I was beyond upset and pissed off. Despite all of that and my horrible anxiety ( which is another reason I wanted to do remotes) and being to hot at the bar I was at and loosing 4 out of 15 games I still shot decently.

I went down on my cricket stats unfortunately but up on my 01. I even shot a high ton for the first time! When I looked at league stats for my grouping I have the highest point high ton. I went against someone whose played a long time , the games were pretty much back and forth dart to dart even but when it came down to the last rounds I'd choke. They had some friends watching and I actually got told several compliments. One being they'd be intimidated to throw against me because of how I throw. Another was that I have accrucy and that they notice when I step over or change my throw I'm almost perfect on the accuracy the second dart which I told them it was a lie since i dont have depth perception it was pure luck. Another thing one of the people asked was how could I just laugh at my shitty darts? Hoe do I not get pissed. And I told them that's exactly why I laugh at my bad rounds, if I get pissed then I won't throw good and there's no point it's supposed to be fun.

Although I didn't win the night I'm not last place in my league and I'm still happy with how I shot. I'm hoping the rest of this season gets better luck wise scheduling. And I hope I can continue to improve.

Darts is such a jarring thing to me. I've never been competitive or wanting to compete but this silly little game makes me want to. It's taught me so much about myself. It's a fun game to play and it's fun to get out and get drunk once a week.

Here's to a year of playing darts and hopefully getting better stats this season, to learning more about myself.
