Finding out the tadc's creator apologised to Jax/Ragatha shippers at some point is crazy to me. Is there no respect for exes with unresolved feelings and mirroring maladaptive coping mechanisms who fight with each other both directly and through third parties anymore

with what gooseworx said about caine not being outright evil, but rather just not understanding humans and their needs, the whole daisy bell thing becomes just kind of sad and cute. it was the first song a computer ever sang. an expression of humanity from an inherently non-human thing.

when zooble hides inside their room, caine assumes they're upset; not that they're hiding from him. so instead of summoning them, teleporting inside their room, anything else like that, he sings daisy bell outside their door. he doesn't know what else he can do. everything he does seems to upset them. so he tries to be more human. and just like how so many people consider that original computer's rendition of the song "creepy", zooble says the same about caine's.

singing is something considered inherently human. for a computer to have the ability to sing brings it a step closer to humanity, even if it's still on its own distinct lane.

caine wants so desperately to connect with zooble. to understand why they're so unhappy. but he can't. he's not a human. he just tries.
