...since SoulCalibur IV came out! (for North Americuh)

Ahhh, I can remember it like it was yesterday. It was hot and sweaty, but no mom's spaghetti (too hot for that.) Woke up at the azz crack of dawn, was taken to pre-Gamestop (yup) and learned that their versions were bleh....my mom and I took a trip to the Best Buy across the street and got the one that came with the tin case/Mitsurugi & Darth Vader drip instead 😁

After all that, I plopped down in front of my silver big back tv, cracked that jewel case wiiiiide open, popped the disc into my PS3, commencing the rest of my summer.

It was on n' poppin', jigglin', and every other adjective the first time I caught my my boi Siegfried in 1080p ✨️ And the roller coaster of emotions I went through playing all the story lines!

Not even kidding, Zasalamel put me in an actual existential crisis with his ending. As a young teenager, and forever triggered (iykyk) ☠️😂

And don't even get me started with the endless fanart/fanfiction (also og dA gang iykyk 👀) and the CRITICAL FINISHES WERE LIKE WHAAAA (most of them.)

I thought SoulCalibur III had me sprung the year before, but little did I know how SCIV would snatch my wig clean off with the sheer force of storytelling and graphics bish slapped across my face and feels in the summer of '08.......

SUCH A DAPPER MANZ FOR HIS SPECIAL (belated, oops 👀) BORN DAAAAAY. Just wanted to do something sorta quick. Ish.

Y'know -- I've dressed up Sigi in MANY modern outfits over the last 17 years, whether it was in chara customisation or creating fanart. However, I never thought putting him in a s u i t would be a whole-ass entire vibe. Sorta works for this occasion, yeah? ☺

This is 2nd time I've put him in a suit n' tie in two months and in two different scenarios; it has seriously made wonder why I hadn't put him in this type of swag years ago for his b-day (or just in general), tbh.

Damn, it's my anniversary (soon)

I guess it's time to start rollin' out the honor roll of my 10-year cosplay-versary.

I hope peeps will enjoy my portfolio of sorts. It's been a blast doing it so far. I don't intend to stop the madness anytime soon, annnnnd it's definitely time to up the ante for the next chapter of performance art~

More prop work, finding & working with (a) partner(s), more video shenanigans. Dem sort of things.

Anyway, look forward to the (official) 10-year span of my stuff (which may also include some cyber & lolita thangs) & some pre-professional background story here in the upcoming days & weeks. ^_^

Heh, my hs art teacher was attempting to teach 14 - 16 year olds how to use chalk as an art medium. As a Sigi fan for - at that time - two years, this is what my nerd-ass came up with as a subject. xD It was also one of the first large format trad art pieces I did since getting my first Graphire tablet in (two years before SCIV.)

Though, Mrs. W was impressed for whatevah reason; he hung up outside of the art room for the entire spring semester. Maybe she, too, liked bishonen with big, long swords. 🤔

Man, wouldn't it be something if I did a glow up on ol' dude, 15 years later? ☠️

Tekken Thursday (Throwback, technically)

🥊🦊Inktober Steve Fox 》 [(2017 & still an artwip)] 🦊🥊

I started mah Stevie Boi six years ago when T7 was poppin' and I needed an "Inktober" prompt. I thought back to some O L T art I did (you'll see it in due time) & wanted to give it a glow up for the prompt.

Well, we only got to the inking part before I dropped him for some professional art projects, sadly. Last month, I was looking through my folders & saw him staring back with *like his Aunt Anna* "such a lovely faise" 💋😂 on my screen.

I decided it was long enough keeping Steve *in* the shadows, and time to *give* him some shadows. And highlights. And base colors.

Hope to get him and a few other FG characters I worked on back then finally done. Like, "put a fork in the turkey, I'm DONE" done (no offense to turkeys...)

HOLAY MOLAY I FINALLY MADE IT TO PERLER BEAD CRAFTS 🙌🏾 (back in June >_>)

I mentioned almost 2 years ago that I'd be an old woman by the time I got to making perler art. Here to gloat that I'm ahead of schedule by some decades. 😁

I created an...

1) "Online Now!" design as a dedication to the ashes of my earliest HTML coding memories (MySpace) 🪦

2) a cyber "glitchy mode" aesthetic phrase dedicated to my state of being (you know, the stereotype of dark alt-sub & fashion cultures back in the day 🙄😏)

3) two of the most beloved mascots of my time & in all of emo 🖤💝 & scene queen-dom. 👑💎

I didn't time them, but the golf ball sized perlers (Gir & Gloomy Bear) took roughly 10 minutes from start to finish with a guide. Definitely took me longer to design the two Sharpie-length designs from scratch and to build.

I'd like to take this moment & celebrate T7 by walking down a memory lane with y'all~

Back when Tekken 6 was on the horizon, yours truly entered her first tournament at the tender age of (mid teens, lol) to win a Tapout x Tekken shirt.

After my defeat to a dudebro with a Ryu headband on, I decided I didn't need to win that shirt. "I'll make something B E T T E R."

Alas, this Tekken hoodie was BORN. Created my stencils from scratch and by hand, hand painted it, installed studs on it, cut & hemmed the sleeves because I thought I'd replace them (spoiler: never did) - perfection!🖤❤ 👌🏾

I still have the hoodie. It's a little 'pill-linty', buuut still looks cute. Just like Tekken. 😘

SO. With this being said 👏🏾 From this old Tekken lover to all the others out there (new and old), let's keep the hype train goin'! Forever and ever. >:3

Tekken Tunes Challenge, FINAL ROUND (Pt. 2)☆▪

☆Part 2 of Nario’s Tekken Tunes Challenge (derived from Tekken Amino!)

5.  Dr. Bosconovitch Theme -Tekken 3 - This tune is so jazzy and reminiscent of the late 90’s and…I dunno, I just find myself rockin’ out to this one.

4.  Unknown Stage - TTT - This creeped me out when I was a child…but then again, I’d play TTT late at night in the dark by myself, sooo…but Unknown is bae to me, so I couldn’t resist. :D

3.  Tekstep Fountain - TTT2 - This has a beautiful mixture of orchestra and grungy  dubstep. I listened to this for about 4 days straight when I first got the Tekken Hybrid soundtrack. Mmmmmm. ♡

2.  What You Will See (Benton Mix…technically not a part of the game, but…) - TTT2 - Something about the “Hell” transition in this tune just gives me chills. You know it’s about ta go down.

AND THE NUMBER ONE PICK FOR DIS CHICK:

1.  Staff Roll - TTT - This song resonated with me for so long, I still tear up listening to it. 😢 I was learning how to play the violin at the time. For a weird reason, this song…THIS SONG ALONE…made want to get better at my skill. The orchestra is so climatic and drenched with anguish and intensity; it fills your heart and soul with every strum as you sit there and watch as these beloved characters unravel their destinies or fates.

To this day, this saturated composition by Keiichi Okabe still is definitely a staple in any fighting game fan/violinist’s inspiration arsenal. Yeah!

Annnnd I suppose that’s it for my top 10 Tekken Tunes!  

…oh, and try not to squeal cry like this 

…every 10 minutes you look at something like this. 

I know how it feels to do it. Because that’s me doing it right now.

That initiate status, thooooough. I'm starting to get back into the groove of Jin's moveset. It's actually....fun for me again? WHOA WOW WHOA WOW.

ALSO. Out of the 20 years of being Tektrash, I can't believe I've never seen or myself drawn Jin with facial hair. Even when I gave him his own family in old fanart (YES, fandom OCs og over here.) ....he didn't have a beard.

S'nice. (I might play more with the customisation...BUT THE BEARD STAYS. xD)
