If Emerie was the one who checked on the kids...
Omega: *Sneaks back in* "Psst, Eva! I'm back. Sorry for the wait, was it a close call?"
Eva: "Oh no, it's fine. Actually it wasn't even that close. Sami told Emerie that she was hungry and so..." *Nods at Sami's room*
Emerie Karr: *Frantically researching the dietary needs of Pantoran children.* "A girl of your age and species should requires a healthy balance of fruit, vegetables, protein, and grains. As well as proper hydration and-"
Sami: "Um, actually I'm not feeling that hungry anymore so-"
Emerie Karr: "I swear if I find out Dr. Scalder's been misusing the allotment we were given to pay for your nutrition I'll-"
Omega: "... How long has this been going on?"
Eva: "About an hour."
Sami: *Mouths "help me!"*

True, but on the other hand when Sami said she was hungry Emerie would've stopped and checked to make sure that she was eating the appropriate amount of every category on the food pyramid. So that would've bought them some time.
Imagine being the vault kids, stuck in this boring old room when suddenly some kid claiming to have been raised by a spec ops squad is dropped in. She immediately starts planning an escape by carving a hole into the dumbwaiter and starts sneaking off while you all have to awkwardly wait for her to come back.
Then one day the building starts to shake and she gleefully informs you that that's the sound of laser cannons. She starts giving you a plan using military jargon you don't understand and crawls off into the dumbwaiter, telling you to lie to stall the doctors until she's back.
So you wait, and wait, and wait, but she doesn't come back. You try and delay the doctor by pestering them with childish needs but the only nice doctor's stepped out for the day and it's the mean one that's testing you, so she just tells you it'll pass and keeps walking.
But it works, and Omega makes it back in time and starts telling you all that the Empire's keeping Godzilla prisoner in the basement that you have to release them.

I like how it's this intense, deeply personal "all or nothing" mission for the Bad Batch. Except they're also just carting Rampart around while he complains about everything they do.

supposedly someone asked if Dave filoni if Ahsoka was dead bc of her voice over in ros and he said no
which
dude
I used to like Ahsoka but honestly filoni has me super fucking annoyed with her
Oh yes I heard about that. I believe he even shared a cartoon of Ahsoka and Gandalf (a literal angel btw) with the latter saying something like, "Well people thought I was dead didn't they?" followed by him saying fans were "thinking like Sith" for believing she had to be dead.
So that pretty much confirms he'll have her live on past the saga if he gets his way while shoving her into pretty much every project he can. Honestly, I think his original plan was for Ahsoka to sneak in and become the new Grandmaster of the Jedi Order and restructure it to suit his whims.
Fortunately the upcoming Rey movie's most likely spoiled that plan for him. As it makes it clear that Rey's the one rebuilding the Jedi. So he probably had to scrap that plan.
But I think he's still going to try and make her the new Daughter AKA the living embodiment of the light side. As that has the advantage of granting her immortality so he has an excuse for her to never be killed off and for her to appear in every single SW story he pleases.
Dave Filoni needs to learn to let go. Which is ironically a central theme of Star Wars. In a saga like this that spans decades, Ahsoka will eventually have to die as all other characters have. It can be of old age for all I care, but it's got to happen someday.
Clearly, he wants her to be the new face of SW but that's simply never going to happen. The average SW fan (using people I know as an example) think of her as "that female Jedi from the Mandalorian" she's never going to overtake Luke Skywalker in popularity no matter how many shows he shoves her into.

If Dave Filoni was a DM (Part 5)
I mean I think it's part 5, I've written too many of these to keep track at this point.
Dave Filoni: "Good to see you again, Ahsoka, Barriss. Ready for our next campaign?"
Ahsoka Tano: "Oh yeah! It'll be great to play with Barriss again."
Barriss Offee: "I've been looking forward to it! Honestly, it's been so long since I was invited that I was starting to think you didn't like me."
Dave Filoni: *Laughs nervously* Whaaaaat? No way. Heheh. Anyways let's get to the first round. Now, as Jedi you're constantly being tempted by the dark side of the Force. It's time to roll to see if you resist. Ahsoka?
Ahsoka Tano: "I'm kind of worried, I've played my character as someone who's constantly acting on passion, fear, and rage like a Sith and who's being mentored by someone who'd exacerbate these issues. I guess we'll see..." *Rolls a five*
Dave Filoni: "Not only are you never tempted by the dark side, the only time you ever stray from your path is when the God of Darkness himself forces you to, but the compulsion is quickly broken and you're healed by the Daughter, imbuing you with her power!"
Ahsoka Tano: "Uhh, wow. I don't know if I really did anything character-wise to deserve that but-"
Dave Filoni: "And that's not all! After-the-fact, without even needing to change your behavior, you're not known as the purest Jedi there ever was!" *Turns to Barriss with a forced smile* "Your turn, you're upset about the war and the Jedi's role in it."
Barriss Offee: "Well yes, it's unfortunate. But I've fought in the war myself and understand that we can't abandon the Galaxy in its-"
Dave Filoni: "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Roll to see if you resist dark side temptation."
Barriss Offee: *Rolls a seventeen* "Let's see, that, coupled with my +10 Jedi resistance bonus, my +5 resistance bonus from Master Luminara's training, and another +5 from my experience facing death. My resistance is at 37!"
Dave Filoni: "YOU FAIL!!!! YOU PLANT A BOMB IN THE JEDI TEMPLE AND BLOW INNOCENT CIVILIANS TO SMITHEREENS!!"
Barriss Offee: "What!?"
Dave Filoni: "THEN YOU MURDER THE WITNESS BY FORCE CHOKING HER TO DEATH IN HER CELL AND FRAMING AHSOKA FOR THE ACT BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO KILL HER WITH YOUR LIGHTSABER IN AN ALLEYWAY!!! BUT YOU FAIL BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS YOU'LL NEVER AS COOL AS HEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!!!!"
Barriss Offee: "..."
Ahsoka Tano: "..."
Dave Filoni: "Now let's move on to you being captured and trained to become a cannon fodder Inquisitor that'll be killed off without fanfare later..."

I'd love it if Bayrn's species grows into these like ten foot tall giants and so when he and Sami reunite ten years from now he just carries her around like she does him.

You know, I wanted to make a post about how I'm glad that Galen Marek/Starkiller from the Force Unleashed got de-canonized. Because having a godlike force user whose neither Jedi nor Sith pop up to jump start the Rebellion out of nowhere really cheapens the Original Trilogy and Luke Skywalker's whole journey therein...
Then I realized Ahsoka's basically the same thing at this point.

Fox's involvement in the Wrong Jedi was so minimal I'd be surprised if Vader even remembered he was there.
And hey, good to see the SW narrative's mentality of, "pretty much anyone that actively opposes Ahsoka is evil" has rubbed off on the fandom. Although I think part of the Fox hatred is due to him being the one to shoot Fives and want to see him die in some form of perdition (even if its not for Fives) for it rather than in some random act of cruelty by Vader. So they reinterpret the scene around it.
That and Ahsoka super fans would argue that she's more meaningful to him than Luke so...
As for the Barriss thing, it's at least possible that Vader would care to hold a grudge about it since in his mind it did result in someone he was attached to leaving him. But considering he'd choked out Padme, tried to kill Obi-Wan, and later attempts to kill Ahsoka. I kind of doubt he'd bother doing that either.
That said, as stupid as her whole plot would still be. I'd take Barriss being killed by Vader if she at least redeems herself in the process, like she refuses to become an Inquisitor and dies fighting her final battle as a Jedi again. That would at least be some nice crumbs and somewhat revert her back from her OOC Filoni portrayal.
What are your thoughts about fans who say that Vader killed Fox for Ahsoka (in one of the comics) or Vader will brutally kill Barriss in the upcoming Tales of the Empire because of what she did to Ahsoka?
Vader didn't offer Ahsoka to join him in Rebels (been a while might be wrong), or offer any of his other jedi friends to be spared. Or any of the younglings. It seems fanfic-y for Ahsoka to get through to Vader more than his own son. Anakin obniously stopped giving a fuck about anyone but Padme, yet he still gets along-ish with the stormtroopers.
I feel like "getting along' with the stormtroopers is a stretch, personally, but I can't say I'm familiar enough with stuff set in that time period focusing on those characters to really speak to it with a lot of authority. I feel like he just doesn't care about them enough to bother them or actively try to kill them, but that doesn't equate to getting along.
As for Ahsoka, I feel like the claim that he killed Fox (I assume this is referencing that comic where he snaps Fox's neck shortly after O66) for Ahsoka is kind-of ridiculous. I haven't read it myself, but I've seen people discuss it and seen some of the panels and my understanding is that he kills Fox because the clones shot at him when they saw his lightsaber, not understanding that he wasn't another Jedi or whatever and Anakin just... kills Fox to demonstrate power. I dunno, this is what Anakin just... DOES. He chokes people who bother him in the OT all the fucking time, we see him get close during TCW all the time too. Anakin leans towards violence as a coping mechanism for a LOT of things, and the immediate motivation is the insult of being shot at by the troopers as an enemy and the disrespect he interprets it as, so he uses Fox as an example. COULD you choose to interpret it so that part of his motivation is that he already hates Fox because of what happened to Ahsoka during the Wrong Jedi arc? Sure. Is it the actual stated motivation within that storyline? No.
Honestly, I find the entire concept that people might be angry at FOX for the Wrong Jedi arc immensely ridiculous just to begin with. Like I get anger aimed at the Jedi Council and Wolffe/the 104th FAR more than I get anger aimed at Fox or the CG. Like Fox and the CG barely have anything to DO with the entire incident, they put her in a cell after a prisoner dies with no other obvious cause immediately after the sound is cut on the recordings, and then they try to recapture her after she does in fact literally break out of her cell and go on the run. Like she's under suspicion and then leaves without permission after a second incident happens, OF COURSE they're trying to get her to stop and come back. They're not HUNTING her. You know who DOES hunt her down? Plo Koon, Wolffe, Anakin, and Rex. All of them go out with squads of men to literally hunt her down and recapture her. And it's WOLFFE who ultimately finds her at the warehouse and stuns her. Fox has NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THIS.
As for what Anakin will do with Barriss, I honestly can't say. I wouldn't put it past Filoni to have him kill Barriss simply because we know Filoni doesn't treat Barriss well and that sounds like something he'd find compelling and meaningful. I'm not planning on watching TOTE for exactly this reason, I'm waiting to see what everyone else says about it since it's bound to be bad no matter what happens.

sure dave filoni might not be a particularly careful planner, or respect the works of people that are not him, or care about lore or character consistency, or think about the implications of his worldbuilding on the wider franchise. but at least he doesn't respect the characterization of his own ocs either

Okay, let's talk about the accusation that the last two episodes were "filler" the most overused term in media critique.
Filler episodes were originally for anime that needed to make up an original plotline while they waited for the manga they're adapting to get ahead of them.
It later began to refer to entirely self-contained episodes that have no plot importance. Like a one-off trip to the beach that no one mentions again.
Then it referred to ANY episode that didn't move the main plot forward.
NOW it refers to episodes that DO move the plot forward but don't resolve it completely.
We've reached peak nonsense.
The past two episodes covered them finding their way to Mt. Tantiss and has now gotten them on the way.
"But the Bad Batch could've found their way to Mt. Tantiss two episodes ago by having Crosshair plant the tracker!"
Yeah, and Tolkien could've had Frodo walk through the Black Gate and straight up to Mordor. How anti-climactic would that be?
How dumb it would it be for tbb to just find the super secret planet and go there instantly. Everyone would be calling that contrived writing. The Bad Batch having to hitch a ride on an imperial shuttle, not knowing where they're going, not being able to organize an attack, and not having an easy way back is SO MUCH more interesting than them just, knowing where to go and having all the time in the world to plan an attack.
This way it's an "all or nothing" operation on an unfamiliar terrain.
There's not a story on earth that doesn't have "filler" if we go by the modern definition of the word. Frankly, I think it's mainly used nowadays by review channels when they're mad they don't have enough clickbait for their review video.

Weekly Emerie update!
So far, it looks like she's opted to try and make the vault a bit more humane, at least as much as she can. While I think there were games the first time we saw the vault there appears to be a few more toys there now. Namely for Eva and Barren who have dolls. Also, she allows them to socialize more than they were previously allowed judging from Doctor Skalder whining at her for letting them talk.
She thinks (or is at least telling herself) that the kids are well taken care of now. We know she wasn't happy about the experiments but it makes sense that Emerie would evolve from "totally obedient" to "mostly obedient" before she makes her way to any true rebellion, given her history.
Also sad to say but the reason she thinks they're well taken care of may be because that's more than she had growing up. If we assume she was treated roughly the same as Omega was during her prior stay. In her mind a few toys and friends are probably luxuries.
