Far From Home AU (tony lives)
1k
Tony didn’t stop to put on shoes, or a jacket, or even to turn on the outdoor lamps. He had no time to question how the kid who had been in Paris when they’d spoken on the phone less than a day ago could now be in rural New York, no time to wonder how the boy had come to be so horrifically injured, no time to look around for any sign of danger.
Peter was over what happened with Beck; really he was! It doesn't matter that he still sees Beck's face in his dreams, or he can't think about the trip without wanting to throw up, and nothing around him feels real anymore. Nope. Everything was perfectly fine! Why wouldn't it be? - "It's easy to fool people who are already fooling themselves," No, no, no. Beck wasn't here; He couldn't be here, he was dead. Peter saw it. But then again, it wouldn't be the first time his mind played tricks on him, now would it? - OR Peter has anxiety about what happened with Beck, but Tony is there to help him this time. CUE ANGSTY BONDING.

Rogue Avengers
Peter Parker’s life is going pretty good. Mr Stark gave him his suit back, Aunt May found out about Spider-Man and didn’t try to kill him, and to top it all off he now has a real internship at Stark Industries and gets to go there a few times every week.
So yeah, things are great. Or at least they were, until the Rogue Avengers decided to show up back at the compound after being pardoned. Now he has to figure out a way to keep his Spider-Man thing a secret, and he might have accidentally called Tony Stark ‘dad’ in front of the Ex-Avengers???
He’s going to have a fun time talking himself out of this one.
(22k words)
“I have kids," Clint said. "I know dad behavior when I see it.” Tony blinked multiple consecutive times, processing the statement. “Excuse me?” “Tony,” Steve said now, “how long have you had a son? And how come we’ve never known about him?” “Yeah,” Clint spoke again, “I thought I was the only one with a secret family. Turns out you’ve had one longer than me!” ------- Peter gets to spend all summer living in Avengers Tower with Tony. When the Rogue Avengers get pardoned and come back to live at the Tower too, they're confused as to who Peter is. However, once they see how Tony acts around Peter, that confusion goes away, as they know for certain who Peter must be - Tony's secret son. Tony and Peter decide to make the most of the situation, and play along. They hope they can keep up the act all summer. But they soon learn that they barely have to act at all.

Skip Westcott
(TWs read tags for all fics mentioned under this one)
220k
Homecoming A/U. Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway. So he leaves. Simple. Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on. And that’s when things get complicated.
Notes:
WARNING: This piece deals with the emotional, physical, and sexual abuse of a minor. I have made every effort to be as sensitive as possible in the writing—to approach these topics from the point of view of the victim, and to be graphic only when it is necessary for understanding that character’s emotional progression. While there are disturbing scenes, I hope you won’t find any of it exploitative.

It all started when Tony introduced Peter to Skip Westcott. He just didn't know until it was too late.

Tony swallowed, his hands shaking slightly.
Peter couldn’t be dead, could he? Not Peter. Anyone but Peter.
Struggling to draw in breath, Tony could feel his heart pounding.
He shook himself mentally.
This was no time for a panic attack.
Peter needs me.

Kidnapping/ torture #1
Peter and Shuri are kidnapped by a gang of bandits who demand ransom money for the princess of Wakanda. They’ll soon find out that they have more than one prize in their grasp. (47k words)
It's been months since the events of Civil War, and the Avengers are doing their best to remain a team, having promised to forgive and forget. Unfortunately for them, Tony Stark's latest invention has been stolen and recovering it causes tension to reappear.
Meanwhile, in Queens, Peter Parker has two main priorities on his plate — complete his midterm finals, and track down a fishbowl wearing criminal that may or may not lead him right into the hands of the Avengers.
Somehow between all of this, Spider-Man's identity is revealed to the Avengers, Steve and Tony's friendship may permanently be damaged due to continued hidden secrets, and Happy struggles to buy a youth-sized casket for Peter's funeral.
Things were a lot easier when they were fighting over Bucky Barnes.
(Or: The Avengers welcome Peter into their crazy superhero family and will do anything to protect him.)
(267k words)
They grab Peter right out from under Tony’s nose. (21k words)
"I am going to find Tony," the man hisses in Peter's ear, his gaze cold and cruel. "And when I do, I will kill him, slowly. What do you say to that-"
The man stops short because Peter's shoulders are shaking. He looks and sees the kid is snickering. When he lets go of Peter's hair, the teen's head slumps to his chest, but it's not out of exhaustion or defeat...it's to hide a smile.
Peter lets out a laugh, shaking his head before glancing to the sides and exclaiming, "It is so fun to mess with you!" He looks around before hooting, "Tony Stark? That's your play? You're not screwing with me, right? You actually thought that would work? Sorry guys."
Peter straightens in his chair with a sneer and a cocky wink, "Tony doesn't give a flying crap about me."
In other words.... Peter is kidnapped and his captors think they can hold Tony against him. But they don't know what's happened in the past couple months.
(296k words)
The last thing he remembers is leaving school. It was a half day, as he’d finished his exams early, texted May about staying over at Ned’s place, sent another text to MJ and then a twitch of his spider senses--
Then a pinch at his neck, like a bee sting, but deeper. Darkness. Then here.
Huh. Kidnapped. That’s new. If he was less emotionally dead from finals and sleep deprivation, he’d probably have a stronger and much more appropriate reaction to that.
At least he's got Captain America and the Winter Soldier to keep him company.
(14k words)
Peter and Mr. Stark start to spend a little more time together, and then Persons Unknown(ish) start trying to kidnap Peter.
Spider-Man: Homecoming through Avengers: Endgame with a few twists. Plots are uncovered, connections are made, field trips go horribly awry.
(185k words)
There was a pattern Peter wasn’t aware of.
Whenever his morning started great, his day would end in agony.
The morning of his parent’s death had been great. The morning of the OsCorp field trip had been great. The morning of Ben’s death had been great. The morning of the Homecoming dance had been great.
This morning started great.

31 days, 31 ways to hurt our favorite Spider-Kid, with bonus whumping of his super friends and an excessive use of puns.
After being kidnapped with some of earth’s greatest defenders, Peter is grateful that it appears that their captors aren’t aware that he’s Spider-man.
The problem? To the Avengers, he's just Tony Stark's teenage intern- and Peter intends to keep it that way.

"You need a girlfriend, Rogers.” “Huh?” Nat rolled her eyes. “Doesn’t your life get a little bit lonely from time to time? Don’t you want to be with someone you can share everything with?” “But I have Bucky?” Steve said, a question and a statement at the same time, completely stunned and not really able to grasp the situation.
''Doesn’t Captain Rogers ever…wonder,'' Peter winced as he fumbled for the right word, ''where you are?''
Bucky smirked. ''Steve’s a regular mother hen. Used to be me that worried about him.'' He gave Peter a pointed look. ''Better question is, isn’t Stark wondering where you are?''

A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.
The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.

Field Trip
‘We’re going on a field trip,’ Peter said, not wanting to finish the statement. ‘To?’ Happy asked. ‘Stark Tower.’ Peter whined, covering his face with his hands. ‘This is going to be a nightmare.’ Happy winced. ‘Yeah, if Boss finds out, you’re screwed.’ ‘Ned said the same thing,’ Peter said miserably. ‘And you know as well as I do that he’s gonna find out.’
Welcome to my fanfiction stew! We have a huge variety of tropes, so get ready for: - The field trip to SI - Avengers meet Peter - Movie night - Loki + Peter and Shuri + Peter friendship - Cursed Roombas - YouTube and Vines - Fluff, whump, e v e r y t h i n g
(37k words)
This is basically domestic Avengers and Peter Parker, with a slight smattering of the Field Trip trope thrown in. It's really just domestic Avengers though.
•-•
Peter really wasn't at 100% the day he fell asleep in class. And when he gets sent to the Principal's office and suspended, he expected to spend a nice weekend home at the tower, without anything to think about.
However, when the entirety of his Physics class shows up in the middle of Hair Club, he isn't too sure what to do. He is forced to interact with them, and had to deal with some rather invasive questions as to his presence at the tower.
Will he manage to keep his secret? Hopefully Is Tony Stark not as heartless as he wants everyone to believe? Yes Does Iron Man really love his Spider Son? Without a doubt.
•-•
Honestly, its tagged as field trip but it's just so domestic Avengers...
(20k words)
Peter is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Or more literally, he's stuck between the will of ten other teenagers and the knowledge that if anyone finds out he's living with the Avengers he can kiss his normal high school life goodbye. Can he keep it a secret from his classmates that he's living with the world's loudest superheroes? And can he keep it a secret from the Avengers that he's accidentally bringing his classmates home for a field trip?
And once he starts hiding things, keeping secrets, and lying, will he be able to stop?
And even more importantly: willNedbe able to keep his mouth shut long enough for Peter's secrets to stay a secret?
At least MJ can be trusted to keep a lid on things
(70k words)
“No way,” Flash said, when he heard. “Stark Industries doesn’t even hire high schoolers.”
Peter shrugged, schooling his face to remain unbothered. “Yet here I am.”
So the rumour spread that Peter Parker, top of the class and the only competent member of the track team, had a Stark Industries internship. That made it more difficult when Miss Adler, the Chemistry teacher, announced their field trip there.

“What exactly do you see here?”
It is a calculated question. Jim Morita, Principal of Midtown Science and Tech High, is more than capable of answering. But he let his mind wander for a bit.
He sees his students, five years gone in a flash. All dark clouds, and bad grades, and empty smiles.
And when Jim Morita looked into the eyes of that one student, the one who seems the most harrowed by it, that kid, Peter Parker, he couldn’t just stand by anymore.
He knew he had to do something.
--
Or, Peter’s school goes not only on a field trip but also on a two-day camping trip to the Stark Tower and Avenger’s Compound upstate, a year after the events of Endgame.
(101k words)
Peter Parker has just accepted that his peers will never believe in his Internship. Really, lately he has just been trying his best to keep his life in balance between all his daily responsibilities that tug at him for his attention, but then his class comes to his place of work without him knowing about it. Peter should never underestimate his 'parker luck'.
A.k.a I threw my hand in this ring because I love this trope
(27k words)
Begrudgingly reading paperwork that Steve’s made him do, Tony Stark finds a pattern… apparently there’s one kid won’t stop showing up after the Avenger’s battles. And when it’s his turn to meet him, suddenly the boy pops up in every part of his life.
(13k words)
When Peter's Teacher announces that his Graduating Class's Senior Trip is going to be to Stark Industries, the place where Peter has an internship, and where he spends so much of his free time, he is... less than enthused. No one believes his Internship is real and frankly, he just doesn't want to deal with it, but between May and Mr. Stark, he doesn't really think he's going to get much of a choice. He's going to have to go At least Ned is excited about it. And hey, he has a month till the actual day, maybe he'll fall into a pit or get carried away by a stork-themed villain or fall into a Coma or something before the dreaded Field Trip
(141k words)
Against all odds, Peter Parker is a senior in high school, along with his best friend, Ned Leeds, and his kind of scary girlfriend, MJ. Now he just has to survive the year and get into MIT without letting his extended family drive him crazy. The Avengers might be superheroes, but they're mostly super-sized pains in Peter's ass. Spoiler, he loves them anyway. Juggling school work, college applications, Tony Stark's 'how to be heir to a multibillion dollar company' boot camp (patent pending), and Spider-Man duties is harder than it looks.
(63k words)
Peter Parker, Spider-Man, new Stark Industries intern. Codename: “The Kid.”
After an attempted kidnapping by HYDRA, Peter finds himself under protective house arrest in the Avengers Tower. But as Tony introduces the other Avengers to “The Kid,” HYDRA is planning another attempt, this time on the tower itself.
Throw in an ill-timed field trip to Stark Industries by Midtown’s decathlon team, an odd habit of taking breakfast foods for a walk, and an overprotective team of Avengers who’ve fallen in love with the mysterious “Kid,” and you get a showdown at the Avengers Tower, a bit of Spidey-whump, and a rescue.
Will Peter be able to keep all his identities secret?

“I know all about your secret identity.” A beat of silence. “Um,” Peter said, bunching his sweater in his hands. “Which… which one?” -- Peter has three secret identities: Spider-Man, the superhero who swings around the city to save people. And he can juggle them all just fine, thankyouverymuch.

I can’t fail another history exam, Ned! This last one is worth 60% of our grade! If I fail this final then I’ll fail the class and if I fail the class then I’ll be kicked out of school-”
“You’re top of our year, Peter.” You can almost hear Ned’s eye roll as he talks over Peter.
“- and if I’m kicked out of school then I’ll be forced to live on the streets exchanging sexual favors for money and I can’t do that, Ned! I wouldn’t even know what to charge- I mean, what’s the street value of a blow job, Ned? Do you know? Because I sure as shit don’t.” At this point Ned is outright giggling over Peter’s theatrics.

“Whoa, hold up, hang on,” he says, taking a step closer to get a better look. The blade is probably four inches long and neon purple, while the handle is white with a friendly-looking colorful silicon grip. “Is that a toy knife? Is this a Fisher Price mugging?”
“Fuck you, Spidey,” the mugger replies, fumbling for the knife before scrambling back to his feet and brandishing the weapon at Peter.
Or, Peter is stabbed by a misleading knife, Tony plays a high stakes game of Operation, and May retains the one brain cell.

The Avengers find themselves in need of Spider-Man’s help to improve their reputation. Peter Parker, however, doesn't exactly have the best reputation: he has been dabbling in a life of crime.
Tony really doesn't care about picking up after some degenerate teen. Peter really doesn't care about some dumb adults telling him what to do.
And nothing will ever,everchange their minds.
(49k words)
Tony Stark, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, and right now, a little exasperated. Because some guy is swinging around New York, shooting webs and making trouble, Fury is breathing down his neck, and his latest intern took off with his coupon for a free coffee. Thank god for Pepper Potts. -- ...or, a Spider-Man AU where a set of bad circumstances begin to push Peter Parker down a wrong path, and where Tony is probably not the best person to deal with it, but he does anyway.
(122k words)
Peter Parker has had a lot happen in his 15 years. After both his parents die, his aunt and uncle both die, and an absolutely traumatizing experience in the foster system, he isn’t doing very well. That is, until The Tony Stark suddenly takes an interest in him after he accidentally reveals his intelligence during a school field trip to SI. Will this be where his Parker luck takes a turn for the better?
(46k words)
Peter Parker is absolutely fine. Never mind the fact that he's Spider-Man and dealing with an abusive uncle. Enter Tony Stark, The Avengers, an internship opportunity, and a homeless guy named Walt. Now we watch Peter try to keep everything a secret. Because that always turns out well.
(147k words)
(220k words)
Tony and Pepper are only just getting a grasp of life as parents, with their newborn baby, Morgan. So when Tony gets a call from social services asking them to take in a traumatised, teenage Peter Parker and he agreed, his thought process had been ‘It’s only for a night or two until they find somewhere else, what could go wrong?
(133k words)
Tony had dragged Peter from the depths of despair after May's death. It was normal that he'd grown to care a little about him, right?
Yeah, okay. He freaking loved the kid.
So naturally he would feel a little weird when Richard Parker randomly shows up in Peter's life. Naturally he'd feel protective, nervous, and confused because where has Richard been all this time? And why does Tony feel sick every time he sees him around Peter?
All he knows is if Richard hurts his kid, Tony's gonna give him hell.
(78k words)
Peter Parker was back from the dead. At least that is what everybody told him. He'd been snapped out of existence until some sort of time travel and an active death wish by his mentor had saved him and the universe. Just your average sort of life for a 16 year old from Queens.
Peter comes back to find May has a husband and a kid. A new family he has to fit into. But he has done it before, he can do it again.
The only thing that feels solid is Tony: the Blip and fatherhood have mellowed him and Peter loves the bond they have now. He knows Tony would be there for him through anything. But Tony needs to focus on his own recovery - not small time Peter Parker problems. When things at home take a turn for the worse, Peter decides that he'll handle it himself. He is Spider-man. He's been to space and fought aliens. He can get through anything. After all, if May is happy, he is happy, right? Right?
(176k words)
Spider-Man can take care of himself, he sure as hell doesn't need some holier-than-thou superheroes trying to 'help'.
He's saving lives; so what if Peter Parker is falling apart in the process?
or
The one where Peter is homeless, struggling, and maybe needs a little more help than he lets on. Luckily for us, there's a found family of overachieving superheroes oh so eager to help out and bring some joy into his life.
Well. Eventually, at least.

Homecoming AUs
(24k)
*this is an alternative storyline that follows after the ferry incident*
“I want you out of my house. Pack your things and leave,” May said in as strong as a voice as she could through the tears in her eyes. She blinked them away and shook her head before making her way into her room, not stopping to look at Peter even once.
Not Peter, she corrected herself. Spiderman.
OR
the one in which peter gets kicked out after may finds out and has to now learn how to survive when hope seems bleak.

“Mr. Stark? Is something, is something wrong? What are you doing here?”
“Hop in, Underoos.” Peter hasn't heard the nickname in months. He slides into the seat next to Tony. “How’s school?”
“It's good, Mr. Stark.”
“Out with it, kid.”
“Out with what?”
“You’re a terrible liar. Your suit’s AI sends me a trending vitals report at the end of each week. There's no way you can get around that, even if you say pretty please. It’s preprogrammed.”
“That's, that’s interesting.”
“You know what else is interesting? That your AI Karen has restricted me from certain files in your suits memory. I, Tony Stark, the creator of your suit, was told no. Imagine my surprise.”
Peter Parker attempts to juggle being Spider-Man, a high school student, and traumatized all at the age of sixteen. Aunt May does her best to be supportive of her superhero nephew and Ned is always there to be his Guy in the Chair. Sometimes, it's still too much for Peter. When he thinks things can't get even more complicated, a villain inserts itself into the mix. When Tony Stark decides to awkwardly step in, he tries to help Peter understand that his own health needs to come before Spider-Man. Peter isn't sure if he agrees.
(11k) When the Vulture's wings explode, Peter gets hit by shrapnel and finds himself in need of immediate medical assistance. He calls Happy for help, but as usual, the guy doesn't answer his phone. Tony doesn't react well when he hears about what happened, mainly for two reasons: 1 - He blames himself for taking Peter's suit away, which directly resulted on him getting injured. 2 - Knowing that Peter was hit by shrapnel, of all things, makes him scared that Peter may end up becoming too much like him.

You'd think, being a billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, ex-CEO and now Avenger, Tony Stark would be used to just about anything that got thrown his way. 2012 was rough, but he survived. Ultron was a disaster from start to finish, but he's still alive. Sure, the Accords and Germany- that was a disaster, unprecedented and horrible, but he survived.
And now he's mentoring the damn Spider-kid. He seemed nice, little meek, overall a good kid. Did good on the field. How hard could it be to nudge him in the right direction? Enter a bewinged, Chitauri-tech selling weapons dealer, and Tony gets his answer.
Very.
Oh, Tony thinks,I might be in over my head. Ahead of him, the ferry continues to split in half.

With his free leg, Toomes begins to kick at Peter, attempting to loosen his death grip on his suit. A few well-aimed strikes to Peter’s arm is enough to reward him with a terrified scream from the kid as his hands finally fall away. His body, however, doesn’t fall with him.

Hydra AU
At 6 years old, the son of Tony and Pepper Stark, Peter, is kidnapped, never to be seen again. Or, so they thought. Ten years later, while raiding a HYDRA base, the Avengers come across a new, enhanced individual, working for the enemy: in black spandex, with a tendency to stick to walls and shoot webs from his wrists, the Black Spider is a pain in the ass in more ways than one.
(139k words)
Summary: Doing the right thing shouldn’t be this hard, right? That’s what Peter told himself day in and day out, but the world decided to still make his life more miserable (Thanks Parker Luck ™). That was until a knight in shining armor (well it had to be shining if it was bright red) literally fell out of the sky and disturb his perfectly good sleeping arrangements. ……. Or my take on a Peter Parker Hydra AU (65k words)
Tony Stark goes on a mission with the Avengers to infiltrate a discovered HYDRA base. He has orders to kill everyone involved with the operation and he plans to follow those...until he comes across a 16 year old kid with curly brown hair and brown eyes who has spent the last 9 years as HYDRA's prisoner. Instead, Tony helps him escape and they slowly grow closer. But Peter can't truly escape his past; it seems to follow him wherever he goes and put the people he cares about in danger
(257k words)
Finding a compromise between nearly a dozen superheroes and the entirety of the United Nations was a...difficult task, to say the least. Difficult, but not impossible. But with the Accords eventually handled and the Avengers sticking together as a team, the world can remain well protected. Things are going smoothly until a string of robberies and murders comes back with ties to HYDRA, and the Avengers are thrown back into a war they'd thought was long since won.
Meanwhile, HYDRA is rebuilding itself using research stolen from Oscorp with the help of their newest threat - Asset 1562, the boy once known as Peter Parker.
But what happens when their supposed weapon meets the heroes? Things don't always go as planned when it comes to the Avengers.
(215k words)
Peter Parker has been living in HYDRA ever since his parents died at age four. All he can remember are the lessons HYDRA taught him and a series of words that strike fear into his heart. The only thing driving him forward are the memories of meeting his hero The Winter Soldier when he was seven and the goal to one day be as great an assassin as him.
At age sixteen Peter finds himself tangled in the lives of the Avengers and can't help but wonder if there's more to life than what he's been told.
Tony wants to help him, no matter what.
(140k words)
If he was being honest with himself, he was slightly terrified of the skinny boy standing in front of him, who looked as relaxed as he could possibly be, so naturally, Tony stuck out his hand for the boy to shake, ignoring the slight twitch from him at the sudden movement. “Tony Stark.”
“I know,” the boy said. His voice was quiet, calm, but he sounded like he’d seen a lot more than someone of his age ever should, and his eyes, brown and soulful, carried the same message.
“This is usually when you tell me your name, kid,” Tony prompted.
“Oh, right,” the boy said hurriedly. “It’s Peter. I’m Peter.”
~~~~
OR
The oh-so-overdone HYDRA Peter trope that literally no one asked for, but we delivered anyway. Featuring shameless Peter whump, way too much angst to be healthy, and a bucketload of Irondad and Spiderson fluff.
(244k words)
“W-what’s happening?” whispered Peter. He wiggled around on his bed, trying to shrug the hand off his shoulder. “Get off me!”
“Calm down, son,” said the other man. “We’re going to get you out of here.”
“Captain America? Get me out of here?” asked Peter, squinting his eyes and tilting his head. Iron Man hoisted him out of bed, and the covers went with him, hitting the floor by Peter’s feet. “Oh cool, I’m being kidnapped.”
“Not exactly the term I would use.”
OR
The Avengers rescue Peter from a Hydra base ran by his father, Richard Parker, except Peter doesn't really see it as a rescue, and has trouble settling into a new life away from Hydra and his father at the Avengers compound.
OR
Peter learns how to be an actual teenager, live life, and put his abusive past behind him, and Tony learns how to be a father.
(30k words)
When the Avengers find a malnourished, traumatized, enhanced teen in a Hydra base, they manage to convince SHIELD that the kid is better off in the Compound than the SHIELD Headquarters.
Peter Parker thinks his luck might finally be changing for the better, until he hears a conversation between Captain America and Iron Man that terrifies him--if the superheroes find out that Peter was an assassin for Hydra, he feels certain they'll kick him out--or worse, send him to the Raft for a punishment he surely deserves.
Can the Spider manage to keep his bloodied past a secret from a room full of mind readers, spies and military? It'll certainly prove harder than he'd thought.
