yet the cries for peace and humanity only echo when India retaliates.
the world weeps when terrorist camps are reduced to dust—but stayed silent when our people were turned to ashes. was our blood not red enough to stain headlines? did it not matter, just because it flowed quietly through classrooms and prayer halls in Poonch? where was the outrage when bombs fell on unaware children in response to us shelling their terrorists? when prayers were silenced mid-sentence in Gurudwara?
was peace not a global concern then?
was humanity not an international concern when our unarmed citizens were hunted down and killed right in front of their family—mercilessly shot in the name of religion—when all they wanted was to enjoy a vacation with their families in the hills of Pahalgam?
do only terrorists deserve mercy? not the child clutching his dead father’s shirt? not the mother who still sets a plate for the son who’ll never come home?
why does the world stay silent when we mourn, but raise its voice when we defend?
do the hands that carry weapons of hate deserve more compassion than the hands that held their daughter’s as they died?

you simply cannot separate the religious aspect from the kashmir terrorist attacks.
these people were not just random tourists they were murdered for being HINDUs after being violently humiliated and mocked for their faith in HINDUISM.
this was an act of terror perpetrated by those who despise hindus. period. and anyone who seeks to downplay this and say peace is for all and there’s no two sides to this are mere cowards who will never accept how rampant hinduphobia is and how soft targets hindus are because of our own inability to ever come together and take a stand. over and over again hindus have been targeted.
and once again any action that india takes will be twisted and analyzed wrongly by western idiots and secular believers who do not realize that the very country where hindus should be safe is failing them.

Already read these... Just wanted to see if there are any other, turns out only these are available...
But thank you soooo much!
Hi!
I was looking for fics where after tony snaps (and mostly survives) and Peter is sent back, but may is dead or something and he is stuck with no one to contact.
And sorry, but do you also know any fics where Peter is orphaned and tony refuses to adopt him? Like reaallly alone Peter Parker fics where tony isn't good?
Thanks in advance, have a good day :)
Could these work?
Paradise by last_of_her_kind
After the battle and Thanos is defeated, all Peter wants to do is go home. Except... it turns out he doesn't have a home anymore. Aunt May is gone, and the only family Peter might have left is in a hospital recovering from saving the universe. All Peter wants is to fall into Mr. Stark's arms and let him fix everything, but Tony has his own life now. A life Peter hasn't been a part of for five years. He can see the new family Tony has built for himself, and through a series of misunderstandings, Peter comes to the conclusion that there isn't any room left for him. But Peter is used to the short end of the stick. He can survive this... can't he? Being on the outside?
The Care and Feeding of a Teenager by Flurrbee
May Parker dies without a will or any written plans for her nephew. Tony thinks he can’t raise a teenager. So Peter is placed in foster care. Things seem okay at first. But when Tony stops hearing from Peter, he assumes the kid is angry with him. Foster care isn’t evil. But the workers are over stressed and resources are spread too thin. The system isn’t designed to protect an enhanced kid with a secret identity. When unhappy teenagers disappear, it’s assumed they ran away. Spider-Man is captured by an evil organization, with the intent of unlocking the secrets of his powers. But his abductors weren’t prepared for the masked superhero to be just a kid. Their code of ethics prevents them from killing a child, so they decide to raise him. Peter is confused by his captors. They subject him to medical torture. But they also lavish him with all the care and affection he desperately needs. Escape seems impossible, but even if he had the chance, would he take it?

I agree with you, the new Mahabharat changed the behaviours of the characters and the happening of different key events.
Mahabharat is a scripture which teaches you the way of life without deliberately imposing anything on you. It tell you what is good and bad, while simultaneously showing you the consequences of those actions. It teaches us about dharma and what happens when someone ignores their responsibilities. It's a tale of people, and how people reacted to the situations. Mahabharat is a story about people and their psychology.
Though, all the characters are not relatable to us, they never will be, as said above, they were not written with the thought that they should be relatable. Though, we can realate to the events or people if we parallel ours with them.
This is what the new Mahabharata forgot to see. They saw the drama, the glamour, but they didn't see the layers upon layers of characters, why, who, when. All the new adaptations, whether they be of single characters or the entirety of the epic, they DoN'T get the essence.
But I think that the older one, the B. R. Chora version did do the epic justice. The actors had respect for the characters, the story and character arcs weren't hindered. It's the most respectable version out there.
What are your views?
"RELATABILITY" of Mahabharat
Okay, so I was watching the round table conference of ten years of Star Plus Mahabharat, and was really happy to see all the casts together, discussing avidly about Mahabharat and telling about their experiences.
But the thing is, of course I know there are several inaccuracies in the serial, and a few things the actors and Siddharth Kumar Tewary ( the maker of SP Mb ) were discussing did not even happen in the real texts, and were a figment of imagination or lores which they had put. For example, SKT was talking about the compulsion Gandhari was in while tying the cloth around her eyes, and how directly or indirectly, there was a subtle force used by Bhishm to persuade Subal, and Shakuni's displeasure in SP Mb hints it; when in the real texts there was no dramatization of the marriage of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari; it happens like any marriage and he was happy with her. Also Gandhari being a Tapasvini that time, being sightless by choosing for herself was a part of her penance for her husband, and it wasn't as a big deal as we think is for her. She did it willingly, but the way the TV serial shows it tells some other story.
This makes me think about how we often try to put consciousnessly or subconsciously the characters of Mahabharat in OUR feet and then analyze them. Our mind, whenever we read about an event, chooses to put the characters in OUR shoes and then judge them. You think that O my God, if this character was like us, how would she/he would react? No wait, that character cannot do such a great task or have so much power, she/he must've some greyness in their character or something derogatory. Or we often choose to mould them to OUR style of thinking, morality and actions.
AND THIS IS STRICTLY HOW YOU SHOULDN'T BE READING MAHABHARAT OR ANALYZING IT.
Keeping a character in your world, your foot doesn't work. In that manner, those characters in your mind will be reduced to what they actually were, just because YOU think that what they're doing cannot happen like that- NO.
Rather, I feel like YOU should be the one putting YOURSELF in their feet and then imagine what you would've done in the situation. And that means you must be aware of THEIR POWERS, THEIR LIMITATIONS, THEIR MORALITY AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT AND THE SURROUNDING, THE SITUATION THEY ARE IN. That also includes their supernatural abilities, and their Kshatriya mindset or mindset of any other Varna they belong to.
For example, let's discuss the episode of Parshuram and Karna. People often badmouth Parshuram for cursing Karn, because all he wanted is to acquire knowledge. You think if Parshuram was like us, in this environment like us he would've forgave him, or SHOULD have.
Now think YOURSELF in Parshuram's feet, you're a divine sage with supreme powers and a strict Brahmin. You do not entertain nonsense or lies, like a Brahmin should actually be. You're focused, you have limitations of a Brahmin and you have that environment as well. You experience a past like him. Now imagine someone comes and lies to you about his caste so as to earn the knowledge easily, without any more tests. Your happy that Karna is a Brahmin, YOU trust him with all your heart, YOU make him a student of you, and teach him all the knowledge you have, and EVEN GIVE HIM YOUR WEAPONS. And now this guy is caught as a non Brahmin, that too it was never his intention to reveal that who he actually was. How would you feel being a Guru? A true Brahmin? How will you feel that you trusted someone who had no intentions ever to be true to you? You had been true to him, being devoted as a Guru to him, gave him all your weapons, thought that he was genuine and then you find out that he isn't who he is portraying.
Don't sugarcoat, how would YOU feel?
Won't you feel cheated, heartbroken? Won't you feel angry? And you know what Brahmins do in anger don't you? They're simple, they are peace loving mostly, but when they're displeased, cheated or anger, their curse is the only thing they can give to vent it out. So wouldn't you have cursed him at that moment?
See? Now how things fit into the narrative once you stop putting them in your feet and put yourself in theirs?
This is why one of the major drawbacks was the characterization of a few characters in Mahabharat by Star Plus. The maker tried to fit the characters in OUR feet, dragging down their morality/behavior/technique to our level at times. This is where we're rendered of the actuality of the sequences. And we be we are pleased seeing the characters react like us in a situation, sometimes pettily ( Like Draupadi shouting at the Sabha, typically throwing her chudamani away with those dramatic effects, she getting rejected by Drupad because he was shown misogynistic at first and sadness, Gandhari being girly and afraid of darkness) yes all these seem very pleasing to watch because these behavior are like US.
But the reality is different. And I understand because I am reading the authentic texts, the scenario and scenery are so different, each character acts and reacts as per their Varna, powers and duty.
And here comes the question then, IS MAHABHARAT then RELATABLE to today's world then? If we cannot keep the characters in our feet, then how can be?
Let me say something instead, even if the scenarios are different, the characters in their scenarios do ACT accordingly. Yes, they were humans too, not everything is entirely different. Their morality, their duty was according to THEIR DHARMA, and the point is how THEY MANAGED THE SCENARIOS WITH THEIR MORALITY, POWER ETC. IN THEIR SCALE OF DHARMA. Once you understand the things that how they balanced things in their scenarios versus us, the question of Mahabharat being relatable disappears. The major concepts like Dharma, Artha, Kaama, Moksha were valid then and it is now as well, just the background and scenarios are different and also the limitations. Concepts of science, technology was different in the two yugas but the thought of using the resources to make them useful is same like we think about, isn't it? Also major elements like planning, judgment, punishment, crime, forgiveness is also applicable in today's world.
So basically one must thing about their POINT OF VIEW AND SURROUNDING and then make a better judgment of their duties and choices, rather than dragging them to our scale and try to make everything RELATABLE just because you want reach.
Trust me, Mahabharat itself is a huge drama. It's enjoyed when it's consumed at the rawest without unnecessary drama. Mahabharat itself is drama heavy, you do not need unnecessary plots, angst, side story etc to make it emotionally heavy, because trust me one cannot actually match how emotionally heavy the real Mahabharat actually is.
Come on, after all Mahabharat entirely is a blend of all Rasas, it's bound to drive you emotionally.
#mahabharat#old mahabharat#sometimes it's not about how relatable it is but more about how not to land yourself in a soup like the Kauravas and their allies did#how not to adapt an epic

This is such a well written and correct depiction of what had happened according to the text.... My mind was boggled when draupadi was shouting at the elders, throwing her chudamani, etc... It was all... wrong. You want dramatic effect? Fine, but please don't hinder with something as sacred as this... That's the reason I am NOt a big fan of that Mahabharata serial ( and the fact that they whitewashed the character of Karna! I was ready to throw my remote at the tv during the Karna scenes).
But I think that the old, og, B. R. Chopra/da's Mahabharata did justice to the story... It is my comfort serial. Even the Vastraharan scene is good.... It is pretty acurate to what you described... What do you think?
But once again, this thing's very well written :)
"SHE SAVES HERSELF, IT'S HER DHARMA THAT SAVES HER"
I always wanted to say so about Draupadi and the episode of Vastraharan. Before reading BORI CE, I had seen many versions of Vastraharan on TV serials. But after reading the original version, I realized how the serials had either overdone it or underdone it, snatching the actual essence of what the Vastraharan was for.
First of all, there was no instance in Mahabharat which claims Draupadi had insulted Duryodhan/Karn to make them go mad over the fact that they were made fun of by her.
No, there was no such instance.
Duryodhan was very jealous of the wealth and property that the Pandavas had obtained, it's clearly written in the texts how he was literally shivering in jealousy witnessing the glory of Pandavas. He wanted to snatch it all, and hence the plan.
Now comes the actual Vastraharan episode.
I know, many of you guys are extremely angry on Yudhishthir for what he does and the anger is justified enough. I am NOT justifying Yudhishthir or his actions, but actually asking you guys to think, think what would've you done in his place? This man was repeatedly scammed at first thinking that it would be a FRIENDLY MATCH between Duryodhan and himself. And Yudhishthir was a poor player of dice, Krishna himself confirms in the text. Also, Yudhishthir had always said how competing on dice would leave to grave consequences. But it's Duryodhan who persuades him to play. Now, it would really be cowardly for the Samrat to reject a game of dice like that.
Honestly speaking anyone could've said he could've denied it, but he cannot! He cannot because Kings when invited for Dyut had to play, or otherwise they would be tagged as cowards or insults! So at the most what Yudhishthir could do was to try and persuade the Kauravas to drop the idea, which he actually did in the texts, but they didn't give a damn about it.
The game begins, and what Yudhishthir had feared initially happens. He starts losing bouts of wealth, his army, and then the Kingdom he made out of sweat and blood. At this point, the elders, specially Vidur intervenes.
He asks Yudhishthir to stop, but he's at such a position that he cannot. Imagine your entire kingdom is lost, and now you have a bit of hope that you can win it back at the next game, will you actually play or let it go?
Like, don't sugarcoat yourself guys, think about the possibility! It's like you're drowning and playing next is like the branch that would save you, won't your mind flicker? Won't you take a chance to save yourself?
This is what exactly Yudhishthir does, and again he loses his youngest brother Sahadev. Still he hopes he would get everything back, because he had no option. Ofcourse he could've refused playing by now, technically yes. But deep down Yudhishthir knew what calamities can happen if he would try to win everything back by force, so he takes the chance again- and loses Nakul, Bheem and Arjun.
And at last, he loses himself as well.
Now Duryodhan plays the last and crucial move with Shakuni. He asks Draupadi to be staked, and this stuns the Pandavas.
Their KINGDOM is gone, their WEAPONS are gone, and now they're practically the slaves of the Kauravas, and at this time Duryodhan asks Draupadi to be staked. Duryodhan always knew what could break the Pandavas to the core- and that was seeing Draupadi in tatters. So this guy practically renders the Pandavas helpless, and then takes his dig on Draupadi.
And boom! Yudhishthir loses Draupadi too! This is the point where the elders lose their temper, mostly Vidur, and asks Yudhishthir to do something and stop this nonsense, but everything was already done.
Duryodhan sends his own messenger to Draupadi's chamber and tells him to get her.
Now comes the very interesting part.
The ground slips from under Draupadi when she hears the news, but instead of accompanying the messenger, she asks him to question the Sabha that how can Yudhishthir stake her when he already loses himself in the game?
Very valid question by her.
The messenger comes back, and it's clearly written in the texts that he was scared of Draupadi. (Take a note, those who call her "scaredy cat" ). Duryodhan gets angry now, and sends Dushassan behind Draupadi.
Draupadi pleads Dushassan at first, for she was bleeding that time, but when he refuses to listen, she warns him about the consequences. Even that doesn't work, and Dushassan starts dragging a single-garment clad Draupadi to the court. Draupadi is angered, but never scared. Yes, as per the texts she wasn't scared, she was trying her best to SAVE herself from his grip, but Dushassan was obviously proving stronger than her.
Draupadi gets dragged to the court, in a really bad state and is hurled. In the texts, she was said to be hurled like a tree is done by the strong winds, so mucg that she faints for sometime.( My heart starts wrenching while writing.) But Draupadi being Draupadi ( I don't know how this woman had so much self restrain even at this situation), you won't believe this woman actually pleads the court to forgive her them to see her in that state, means she had not washed her hairs since she was in her menses and it wasn't appropriate for someone to appear in a court in such a dishevelled state. Can you imagine the precision of this woman? The mental power, the collectiveness she had?
The story isn't done. Draupadi is taken aback seeing her husbands in that condition. She constantly shoots painful glances at them, and the Pandavas are broken. Bheem yells in anger, warns Dusshasan and Duryodhan but nothing works. Now Draupadi, again stabilizing herself, holding herself questions the Sabha what right Yudhishthir had on her since he himself was lost in the game? How could the Sabha stoop this low to let it happen?
This is when the wretched Karn steps out and says how Draupadi has now been won, she's their slave. He calls her whore and laughs loudly, and orders Dushassan to disrobe her. That man stoops so low, that he asks Draupadi to "serve" the Kauravad sexually, and choose a husband from the Kauravas because her husbands are of no use ( Atp, I wanted to kill him, strangle him).
Vidur intervenes, but even Vikarn too. But Vikarn is again shut up by Karn who calls him a coward and asks him to mind his own business.
Bheeshm is shaken, but he couldn't do anything. He says it was the decision of the Pandavas, and that Draupadi has no choice here. Either she becomes a slave with Yudhishthir, accepting the status of a wife with a husband, or separates herself from the Pandavas. If she choses to separate from the Pandavas, she has no option but to go to the Kaurava's side technically since they won her. So all and all, Draupadi was put in a helpless spot by Dharma ( Bheeshm calls it the subtle nuance of Dharma in text).
That's when Draupadi feels that none of them could resolve the situation and she also knows what was going to follow. This woman finally resorts or rather surrenders to the power of Dharma, which is Krishna ( BORI doesn't mention Krishna explicitly, but calls it the force of Dharma. But for me, Dharma is Krishna.) This woman surrenders her entire self whole heartedly to the supreme Lord. She knows only Dharma is the one that would save her, she knows she HAS DONE NO WRONG, AND THAT DHARMA WAS IN HER SIDE.
At this moment, for anyone the situation is so traumatic that you can end up passing out, but this woman, my God, this woman just KNOWS what is meant for her. Her righteousness shall save her, her purity shall save her. Draupadi knows who she is, Draupadi knows she has done no wrong, Draupadi knows she's innocent, Draupadi knows that it's Dharma who wins at last.
Such was her faith, her stance. If this isn't boldness, then what is? If this isn't her strength then what is? Imagine her situation that moment, she was moments close of getting disrobed and in an inappropriate situation, that moment too she is in her entire consciousness. She knows what would help her.
And that's what happens.
Dushassan tries to disrobe Draupadi, much to the cries of the Pandavas, and that wretched guy feels like he has touched something he shouldn't touch. Yards of cloth extends and covers Draupadi, and yes, Draupadi's righteousness saves herself.
I want to draw your attention how Draupadi was strong till the last end, neither did she BEGGED anyone to save herself, nor did she herself PITY her own condition. Nor she was whimpering or crying, like how people like to show her or something. She BEGGED none, she RELIED on none but her own self. She relied on her strong belief in Krishna, her righteousness and Dharma. At that moment, it was the fight of Draupadi and Dharma against Kauravas.
Righteousness was such that if it didn't save Draupadi, it would've put itself to shame that day.
The story isn't over yet...
Dhritarashtra gets extremely scared now, for he senses the power which Draupadi had. The old King who was enjoying everything, suddenly shudders. He pleads Draupadi to forgive his sons, and asks Draupadi to ask for 3 boons.
Draupadi accedes. She saw her husbands. The helplessness of fate that had rendered them so. And even after so much, she had utter and immense faith in the five of them. She had the belief that the five would rise this time, and shall avenge her. The five of them were enough for it. (And that's why I say why Pandavas and Draupadi were one of the most ideal couples in Mahabharat. There is no concept of Draupadi throwing her chudamani away, or showing pure anger that time. Yes, she was upset and angry, but not so much that she wouldn't understand 5their situation too! She knows what they were going through at that time, it was as traumatic for them as it was for her!)
Draupadi asks Dhritarashtra to free her husbands, that was her first boon. Dhritarashtra agrees immediately. In the next boon, she asks the weapons of Pandavas to be returned. Dhritarashtra agrees to even that, and asks Draupadi to ask for the third boon.
But Draupadi being Draupadi STOPS right there. Yes, she explicitly claims how it is inappropriate for a Kshatrani to be greedy and ask for a third boon, and she has complete faith that her husbands, now free, shall win over and avenge her insult. (ATP, I was literally 🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐 her.)
This woman...this woman, I now realize why Pandavas literally kissed the path she walked upon, for real. This woman knows what she wants, this woman is fearless, this woman is bold, this woman knows exactly what is right and wrong, and this woman SHINES brilliantly, surpassing even the glow of diamonds! This woman is the true example of what true feminism looks like! Believing in herself and her partner without tarnishing the equality of it! She bows to righteousness and chooses the ones who do the same!
She surrenders to Krishna, righteousness and Dharma, in short SHE SAVES HERSELF.
People always pity Draupadi for her Vastraharan, but they don't see how she fights it. They don't understand the power of righteousness at all, but see her as a woman who had no power to fight. Often her surrender to Krishna is looked down upon, like seriously? Surrendering to the Supreme is also a sign of weakness?
Draupadi literally, LITERALLY pulls out the boat which had her and her husbands from drowning from amidst the tempest! She had no weapons, no fighting skills, yet she was able to rescue everyone from the clutches of Duryodhan!
Roughly putting, isn't such a skill more powerful than one having the weapons?
Yet you guys label her as "scaredy cat" and not a Mary Sue, and all?
For me, "shastra ke prayog ke bina hi tumne khudko bacha liya, ye asadharan nahi hai to aur kya?"
In Krishna's words, "Swayam vichar kijiye."
Let others say anything, Draupadi is THE HEROINE of Mahabharat, and in the episode of Vastraharan!

A little snippet from the 6th chapter of my latest fic 'A Day of Unfortunate Events'
.....
He could feel himself slipping away…. His breaths coming in laboured. His whole body was on fire. He could feel his heart wearing down now with all the trauma and blood loss. His eyes were dry now, all of their moisture gone. If he could have, he would have cried now. He had disappointed them. He was a failure, not even being able to override a simple protocol. He hadn’t felt this helpless since the Vulture and Thanos. He still got nightmares from the ordeals. He had finally asked MJ out and it had been a bliss. Everything was now finally falling in their place. But his Parker luck couldn’t take a break right?
The flashes of his teammates' faces came in front of his eyes. He was disappointing all of them. Not only them, but he was also disappointing MJ, Ned, Pepper and even Tony’s and Pepper’s unborn Baby. He needed to get them out now, at least for their future, a future which he most likely won't be a part of. The burning fire of responsibility and sacrifice was run down to a flicker now. But the flicker of fire was still there. He was spider man, he could do this! And more than that he was a friend, bestfriend, boyfriend, ally, son, nephew and an avenger. He will fulfil his last ever duty. He will stay true to his Uncle Ben’s last words.
He raised his good hand towards his watch, he could see Bucky and Steve coming towards him from his periphery. He touched the cool surface of the watch. It was still blinking green. His shaking fingers finally able to press the side button three times. A loud Bang sound came and the metal doors started to part. His eyes gazing at the NY sunset. It felt nice, passing away during the Twilight. While his eyes were staring at the playful but peaceful game of hues. He was proud that he was able to fulfil the last of his duties.
He was taking his last breaths now. His vision and brain went blank as his last thoughts were filled with his family, the feel of their hugs and love, Ned’s bear hugs, MJ’s lip’s touch on his, her smile…… In the end it was worth it, for him.

Thanks!!
Hi! I am looking for a fic which I read quite a while ago, but am not being able to find now....
It was a overworked/ exhausted Peter Parker trope, in which all avengers were there, and basically there was another alian attack or something and they all had to go and fight. So... In between battle they kept taking little breaks but for one reason or another Peter always missed his chance. The battle went on for some 14-15 hours and in the end Peter was on the verge of passing out. So when they get back, his body gives out and chaos ensues.
This was the basic plot of the fic. It would be really nice if you are able to find it. Have a good day! :)
Thirty Hours by polaroid15
The sun sets. Peter breaks three toes and hits his head hard against concrete. There’s a steadily bleeding wound in his side that he’s staunched with his webbing and tries not to acknowledge it when it burns. He can still walk in a straight line, which is good. He’s starving and tired and cold. It’s been fifteen hours.
Or, Peter doesn't take any breaks during a lengthy fight with the Avengers. The mind-melting fever that follows really should have been expected.
this looks like it might be it!!!

Hi everyone! So I have started with a new book on my Wattpad acount named 'A Day of Unfortunate Events'. It is based on the concept that a gas makes the avengers go rouge and their sole target becomes Peter. Then they beat him up pretty badly. And the aftermath and everything.... Along with some Peter and MJ moments. I would love if you guys would give it a try.... And let me know the feedback!
Hope you guys have a nice day :)
Link:
It will be available on AOU shortly.

I write fanfics on PS :)
Ok folks, I had made a post about how I missed my desi fandoms and I found a few creators who are still making content for their fandoms. So please comment/reblog this if you're a creator who makes fics, art, memes, shitposts or any other form of media for any desi fandom. I want to find and support more fan content creators!!! Also mention the fandom(s) you make posts for!
