starfruit!! ✨

Her outfit is altered from her canonical appearence as she wears an outfit inspired by kandyan dancers. She wears a white tiara that is rigid and covered in golden specs. At the center of the tiara is a large diamond edge. In the middle of the edge is a light blue gemstone. On the side of her head are two items that look like starfruit slices with long cloths dangling from them. Both cloths reach to her shoulders and have a green to blue gradient exterior with a white center in between them. On her forehead is a head chain that is aligned with pearls and a star in the center.

Her outfit is split into two, both ending near her upper abdomen. The top piece consists of a white short sleveed blouse. It has a small layer on the top consisting of a light blue cloth with gemstones all over and two yellow stars in the center. On the lower section of the blouse are two destinctly light blue areas that connect in the middle towards a larger yellow star. The edges of the blouse have golden lace around them. The second piece of her outfit is a long white skirt that reachs to her ankles. On the top part of the skirt are two short and light blue flounces, along with it is a dark blue waistline that has three seperate layers of cloths that have the edges in the same dark blue color only that the inner parts are white. The rest of the skirt remains white until the end which has a thick line of dark blue all around the end. The edge of the skirt also has golden lace around it. End ID.]

yesterday i reblogged a drawing resource that included how to draw hijabs - and it honestly wasn’t the best advice i’ve seen out there

now, i’m not an artist. but what i saw was a video that included hijab styles most of us don’t really wear and incorrect terminology surrounding niqabs and burqas (yes, there is a difference between the two)

so, i went searching and found a tutorial that i felt was better! these drawing guides and examples come from @/winchestermeg on twitter, and i think they’re really great 💕

this has more relevant examples and correct terminologies, and is drawn by a muslim woman
