My Amateur Review of Every Single Song on Walls Because Louis Hasn’t Tweeted in Ages:

Kill My Mind

Okay so, this song is such a Vibe, capital V. It’s really different from all of the music Louis released with 1D and it’s also different from the rest of his debut album.

It’s probably one of my favourite mindless songs out there. Like, this is the type of song you roll down your windows and drive 180/mph to. Like 10/10 would scream at the top of my lungs.

Also, if my memory serves me right, Louis said this is “more his style”, so Louis’ enthusiasm for the song is enough to have me listening to it on repeat.

Don’t Let It Break Your Heart

Oh my god, this song. I honestly need to take several minutes to breathe whenever this comes on because it’s so good.

The thing about Don’t Let It Break Your Heart is that it gives me Through the Dark vibes, but it’s 100% Louis, which is simply a dream come true.

It also hints loads about Louis’ personal/ professional life. All of his musics in general seems very intimate, but this song in particular feels like reading his diary, you know?

I don’t know why I find this song especially appealing, to be honest. It’s probably in my Top 5 Favourites on Walls.

Two of Us

The first time I listened to this song I bawled my eyes out. I’ve probably listened to it a thousand times now. I still bawl my eyes out.

I mean, wow. Like I’m honestly trying to put my feelings into words here. This song is comforting, but also invoking. It feels very reminiscent, as well.

A lot of people say they think about a specific person when they hear this song, but personally I find this song relatable to the point where I feel like it represents entire years of my life.

I really don’t know how to explain it further. It’s simply incredible.

We Made It

This right here is basically the abstract idea of absolute contentment and happiness taking form as a song. I mean, it’s perfect for literally all occasions and it never fails to leave you smiling.

Happy? Listen to We Made It. Sad? Listen to We Made It. Angry? Listen to We Made It. Celebrating? Listen to We Made It. Grieving? Listen to We Made It. Anxious? Listen to We Made It. Just listen to We Made It.

Would definitely play this song at my wedding- and at all other times.

You really won’t understand what I’m talking about unless you listen to the song itself.

Like, Walls is basically describing that feeling of longing and want that you can’t really put into words.

It feels like a break up song, but also a love song, but also an I hate you song.

It’s overall theme properly represents the confusion you experience when you get that one feeling, you know?

I would say Larry™️ and move on, but a) I’ve already done that twice and it seems lazy at this point b) I adore this song so there’s no way I’m giving up a perfectly perfect chance to ramble on about it.

Okay, so, it’s very romance-novely. Have you read Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall? If you have, then you know what I mean when I say Always You should be the soundtrack to the book. Like that’s the vibe.

Also, it’s so poetic. Like, I already wrote a short post about how Louis is literally saying he travelled all over the world to get over this person but nothing could make him stop missing said person. Like ugh it’s so adorable but also kind of sad.

Would definitely bake a Welcome Home cake while playing this on repeat- and all other times.

Fearless

This song is chef’s kiss. I mean, the lyrics are just beautiful and the rhythm is just right. Like, it just sounds incredibly pleasant.

I also love how this song kind of stands out from the rest of the songs on the album. Like, is it just me or does it sound different? I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me.

The song is also a little obscure? I feel like most of his songs are relatively easy to decipher, but this one’s a little vague. Don’t get me wrong, I find that kind of endearing.

All in all, it sounds great and I really enjoy listening to it.

Perfect Now

Okay, everyone shits on this song, but I really like it. I remember my friend and I were discussing Help (that’s what his leaked song is called?) and she said that calling Help a “bad” song was a little “aggressive, considering he put Perfect Now in the album.” To be honest, I did laugh at that but not because I agree.

Like, the song is honestly pretty good. I remember him saying it’s a continuation of WMYB and frankly I’m here for it. I also really like the construction of the music. That was great producing.

Would play this while I get ready for school- and all other times.

NO BECAUSE THIS SONG IS SOOOOOOOO GOOD. LIKE SO SO GOOD. LIKE IM SO IN LOVE WITH IT, IVE ALWAYS LOVED IT, ILL ALWAYS LOVE IT. THIS SONG IS JUST OH MY GOD. I GET EXCITED EVERY TIME THIS SONG COMES ON. IT IS WITHOUT EXAGGERATION MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE SONG.

Like I really don’t know what to say. It’s my comfort song; it’s my happy song; it’s my sad song; it’s my crying song; it’s just my song.

Only the Brave

I will never do this song justice trying to write about it. I feel like it’s honestly beyond me and my comprehension of it.

Only the Brave is such an underrated song that deserves so much, and I can’t give it the praise it deserves. Honestly, I don’t think anyone can.

I swear Louis is a brilliant lyricist for writing this. Like, I was blown away by it. I just can’t really explain just how amazing it is. It’s like I’m trying to describe colours. You can’t.

Only the Brace speaks for itself.
