i’ve done butch4butch nelldrea headcanons, but i have a very specific hc for femme!andrea/masc!nell so

basically, nell thinks andrea’s makeup skills are like the most impressive thing in the world. i imagine that andrea mostly does goth makeup (heavy eyeliner, black lips that sort of thing) and gets up early to put it on + skin care and stuff. nell is always fawning over how good it looks and how cool it is that andrea is dedicated enough to get up early even though she is not at all a morning person. every time andrea replies “nell you literally get up to go for a miles long run at 5 every day even when it’s raining, how is this impressive” and then nell is always like “well anyone can run but u need actual skill to do makeup well” and they go back and forth on which one is more impressive for 20 minutes. they’re both too stubborn to come to an agreement.

nell isn’t a super big tv person, she just can’t sit still that long (same reason she doesn’t like books much) but she does listen to podcasts and audiobooks on her runs after she got some headphones from andrea. at first it was mostly sports stuff that kevin had recommended, but then the rest of the foxes started chiming in with their favorites, and now she listens to basically anything and everything. audiobook wise, she likes listening to whatever book andrea is reading at the moment. she almost always finishes a few days after andrea, but neither of them mind. nell’s not super good at literary analysis either, but she loves listening to andrea talk about the symbolism in whatever book they finished recently.

after getting used to it and growing comfortable with more long lasting touches, nelldrea are constantly hugging. they hug at least once a day, unless it’s a bad day. nell will just raise her arms slightly and andrea will wrap herself around nell and they’ll stay like that for a few minutes. andrea also loves hugging nell from behind and using her shoulder as a chin rest (perfect height for it). more than once the foxes have walked in on nell holding a book and andrea leaning her chin on nell’s shoulder to read it. they’ve learned the hard way to not make a big deal out of it

i go back and forth on whether i prefer femme andrea or butch andrea but i will always have such a soft spot for masc!nelldrea. they would be so adorable omfg…nell buzzes off her hair in her third year and andrea is IN LOVE but will not admit it…andrea gets top surgery and nell kisses her scars at every opportunity because they’re so beautiful…nell is really unsure abt dressing masc at first after so long of having to strictly adhere to gender roles while on the run (masculine girls stand out, as mary always said) and andrea supporting her and helping her, giving her advice on what clothes will look more masc and boxy on her body type…andrea with tons of piercings and rings…nell getting worried that she looks ‘just like her father’ when she first cuts her hair short and andrea comforting her…andrea telling nell abt exploring her gender and sexuality in high school, about being known as “aries dykey twin” and how hurtful yet affirming it was…i could go on for days

andrea gets PISSED whenever anyone pronounces her name wrong (AN-dree-uh instead of on-DRAY-uh) and nell picks up on this almost immediately after meeting her, so she starts to intentionally mispronounce her name just to see her jaw clench and her brow furrow. it is only months after they start dating that nell realizes how gay that is

nell actually tried to take pretty good care of her hair while on the run bcs she kept it semi long (shoulder length) and visibly tangled/unkept/dye damaged hair stands out. after mary died, she kind of gave up on a lot of hygiene related things (like taking care of her hair) under the influence of allison, nicky and andrea, she starts taking better care of her hair in her second year, and she gets back her natural texture and shine. andrea, being the simp she is, is obsessed ESPECIALLY after nell cuts her hair short (more on that later) she refuses to admit it but she could spend hours just running her hands through nell’s hair

dan: rlly wants to win but doesn’t get upset with teammates if things don’t go her way. very supportive of her team mates, moves around the field a lot

kevin: very good at the game, but will yell at you if you fuck up even slightly or dont try

andrew: always the jailer. can defend the jail very well, but chooses not to so he doesn’t have to run

matt: always guard for the flag, and is very good at it. he sucks at throwing, though.

aaron: defends the flag too, but is significantly less zealous over it. doesnt rlly enjoy playing, but participates anyways

seth: pretty good at carrying the ball, but no one wants him on their team cause he’s way too aggressive

allison: is really good for when she wants to be, but spends half the game shit talking with whoever she can

nicky: doesnt rlly try and vocally complains whenever they play, but secretly enjoys playing every time

renee: guards jail sometimes, and is pretty good at it, but is also a rlly good catcher so she tries to move around the field

neil: total wild card, because sometimes he gets so into it it’s troubling and other times he intentionally gets sent to jail so he can talk to andrew
