You may think popcorn ceilings are ugly, but did you know that they serve a real purpose? Popcorn ceilings can improve indoor acoustics by mitigating ambient sounds in noisy indoor spaces. In older homes, they’re especially useful for hiding structural impurities. Sometimes a little ugly is a good thing.

Hi! Would you ever consider uploading your 36 𝘉𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘪 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 build to the gallery? It's SO cute.

Back when I built the lot, I originally intended to share it out. I didn't know if anyone would want it, so I'm glad you asked :)

Hello! I didn't make any fancy wall cc for the ceiling tiles preview photo. They're just the Sound Off walls from Get Famous :)

Under the cut I've provided some instruction and details:

Start by creating a 3x3 tile space using the 2.0 Height half walls:

2. Then add the Sound Off Fabric Paneling wallpaper tile to all of the walls and cut 2 walls for an opening so your sims can get in there:

3. For added variety, to every other cubicle's back wall, I used Dine Out's Modern Wood Paneling:

4. Last, I used Syboulette's SYB Sleek - Color Solid Half Wall Trim (this is a link to that cc!)

tips, details and other stuff:

tip: try using rectangular tiles with light borders in manufactured homes like mobile homes.

tip: for stained tiles of better variety, alternative between the dirtiest swatches and the yellow-toned ones (they're next to each other in the catalog, the last swatches)

I started this many months back (right when we got the news of editable ceilings!), and I'm just now finishing them because I'm slow and I'm trying to wipe out all my simple projects at the moment to work on something bigger and more challenging.

44 swatches (that's admittedly a lot, this includes color alternates and solids)

Named/made from Growing Together's Suburban Dream siding. A simple, fun recolor for trailers or other homes, I think the darker blue would look nice on a house boat, personally.

Some swatches are pretty normal, others are just plain confusing because not all Sims have great taste.

Just an afternoon project I really have no idea if someone's done another version of this, but I don't know, I just felt like sharing something and hopefully saving someone else some time so they don't have to make weird sidings. Also a sort of NY Resolution to stop being terrified of sharing stuff I make because they're small things and I'm still learning.

Howdy/Suly Suly, folks! I've been somewhat away, but not intentionally. Between an incessant shyness and family health problems, I haven't had much time to edit photos. Really, I've just been building and trying to process life. However, during this, I've been working on a Chestnut Ridge-extended sort of save file, harkening on my own experience with The Plains, having grown up there (— and having been kicked by a horse as a rude prank and all). I hope to share it, or at least share the follower gift I made a month ago.
