ALRIGHT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT ACTUAL CHARACTER HEADCANON CHARACTER HEADCANON

- Fact about the character that’s not really a fact, because they are fictional characters.

- A head canon about the character, but because it makes sense in the universe created by the writers, we can go along with it

- Another thing that would make sense to expland upon the world, but has not been concrete, because the writers want ambiguity, in case they need to expand on something

- A reason they are a “perfect cinnamon roll” even though stories are terrible at  “perfect” characters, because they aren’t perfect, much like people, they have flaws

- A flaw about the character, but how it’s so cute because it matches the original theme of my message

- Please reblog and give me hearts, tumblr, I am with your fandom

I have recently dropped Grayson from the pull. The reason is the very reason some of you like it, the writing. It's just... not good. I didn't read the midnighter issue yet. But it seems that all people care about are shirtless Grayson... and not to play "that's problematic" but to say something else. If you sexualize a male character, I really don't want to see "stop sexualizing a female character". Because you're trying to fight a problem with more problem. Characters get sexualized all the time, rather it's by design of the writers or through the magical world of fan fiction and fan art and whoever is "a perfect cinnamon roll" (which is right now the absolute DUMBEST thing I've ever read as a description of a character, because perfect means no flaws, no flaws make bad character) So all I could say is, for those complaining about Grayson being sexualized, a simple "just not buy it" is all you really need. And the best part about comics is how diverse it is. If you don't like this story, there are hundreds of others out there like Saga or Captain Marvel or Batmite... And as for Grayson, much like any movie or tv show, I could just wait for tumblr to spoil it for me. So I got that rant about "why" (which was good) but also the ending to mr robot all in the same dash! So in conclusion, Sexualize male characters Sexualize women characters Keep fanservice to a minimum And drop comics that make you annoyed and never look back aside from tumblr images.

The only “men being mistreated” here that I see are Tim Seeley and Tom King who are being shat on for putting some benign fanservice into their legitimately well-written comic. But, you know-

The New Quote Layout Isn’t That Bad.

All day today people have been complaining about the change to Tumblr in the form of quotes no longer being with those annoying lines,

instead what you get is more “white space” and I get that it makes comments harder to understand.

However, I would actually say it’s better.

It’s right now comparing one of those Re: Re: Re: Re: JOHN CENA MEME (Funny) emails to a Facebook comment layout, and I think it looks nice, however, I would think it needs something else.

That “something else” is color for the username before the quote

here is the before, with a comment from a photo that really doesn’t need comment.

and here is what i propose, a colored line across the username and less space in the comment field. something that gives Tumblr that “color” that it’s known for, as well as in the case of multiple comments from the same person, give it something that shows conversation.

I am not going to sign the petition to “change it”, I embrace the change, and hope more people are willing to enjoy the change more.

I just would love less white and more color.
