Update time! We've changed the way we do our Anxie-tea Pot necklaces. Before I had gotten a mixed bag of beads to start with, only to realize later that a lot of the beads in the mixed bag could not be ordered individually, so I could not reliably replace them. There are now more options though, and I can keep them in stock! We can now also ship to non-GPSR EU countries again!

Happy Cyber Monday! I wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone who's participated in the sale so far. Normally all the proceeds would go back into the shop for new product development, but this year it will be going to replacing two broken windows in our house. Every little bit truly does help so much, I never realized how expensive windows are!

I guess this post didn’t go thru last time, so uh it’s a little late. But we’ve had a sale going for Disability month, it will be running until the end of the month so how’s a good chance to grab a new fidget to help you out!

Ok, time for an update! This sale is doing fairly well and we've been able to address a lot of the problems. I think we will go ahead and extend this through the end of February, so if you haven't been able to get around to nabbing something you've been eyeing, you've got a bit more time. I have bottomless 'thank-you's for anyone who's helped out so far, you all have been life savers. Once again we have more detailed updates after the cut:

Who would have guessed we'd get a SECOND cold snap this year? We were out of power for a few days, but we had it so much better than a lot of people. The downside is that it seems to be the final straw for my computer. I'll get by for now, so it's not an emergency, but that does put a lot of plans on hold. All the kitties are better now! That vet payment I'll still have to catch up on, but that's a later problem so I'm not stressing about it. The bank issue seems to be mostly resolved, and thanks to the sale we've gotten caught up on all our payments. It's such a relief to finally have that off of our shoulders, I don't know how we would have managed if I didn't have the shop to rely on. (Thank you all again so so so much!!!) I haven't managed to order the shop restock items yet, I'm making super duper sure all the payments for bills go through before I touch anything in that bank. Extending the sale should ensure I'll have plenty to work with assuming it continues to go well.

Hello there everyone! We apologize for the radio silence the last few months. It’s been a really rough time for us (I’ll spare you the details unless you want them, if so check below the cut 👇) and we’re behind on a lot of things.

I honestly hate to do this, but as part of my self care I’m learning to ask for help when I need it, and there’s no reason that shouldn’t apply with my business as well.

We’re running a sale to try to help us get back on our feet and I’d really appreciate anyone who can help, whether it’s making a purchase or just reblogging to help get more eyes on this. Everything helps. 💜 Depending on how things go, the sale may or may not get extended, I'll keep you folks posted.

As for what has caused this need to get back on our feet, here goes: (Be sure to check the tags for any applicable content warnings. There's nothing bad really, but we prefer to use an abundance of caution)

I’ve been bedridden off and on the last few months. I have really bad lower back issues, and I guess between the cold snap and overworking it, it just couldn’t keep up anymore. I also caught the flu not once but twice in those months (don’t worry, no germs on any merchandise, I miraculously didn’t have any orders during that downtime).

That cold snap also broke not one but TWO of our pipes, leaving us without running water for a week and a half while various (expensive) repairs failed. That lead to a lot of having to play catch up with dishes and laundry, which is part of what kept the back overworked for longer.

We’ve had two cats get sick (no worries, they'll be perfectly fine), for which we’re still working to pay the vet bills. Not the worst, but still an unexpected expense.

And finally the one that really has us reeling; We had an issue with our bank where for some reason they haven’t been letting the things we pay bills on actually take their payments… for a few months. I believe the issue is resolved now, but we are still left with a ton of late fees and having to catch up on those missed payments.

That's just current expenses we have to worry about as well, I need to order more stuff to restock the shop with and have a dying computer to replace. These two things thankfully aren't emergencies right now, but they're both things that are "a matter of when, not if" they become problems if they're not addressed. I don't really like having that looming over me, but I can't afford for them to be priorities right now either. It's been... a lot, and the stress has not been good to our mental health. We are scrambling to do everything we can on our own to handle all this, but anything the shop may be able to pull off the burden would be a huge relief for us. If you've read this far, thank you. Even being able to talk about it a little bit helps vent off a bit of the stress, plus we like to be transparent where we can.
