Breaking the Hiatus: TOATF Update, and a large dose of shower thoughts

Bit of a vent post ahead, to be honest.

Alright. I don't mean to sound like some narcissistic TV host, but I'm pretty sure that if you're reading this, you're probably wondering where the heck I've been these past months. Like, I last posted a TOATF chapter back in February, and then blipped outta existence since then.

To put it simply, it's a combination of me getting busy and sidetracked at once. For one, I was heading through the final stretch of my college courses, and the sheer drudgery of it all has really drained the juice outta me. I'm surprised I even managed to still pass the courses despite it all, and I'm on track to officially graduate this month. So at least there's that :)

Furthermore, it's also because of that slump I've hit that I've ended up further slowing myself down by burning a lotta time into various games, from fighting it out in the endless player-driven trench wars of Foxhole to plugging away at the Octopath Traveler games; I've even been having fun in Terraria as of late.

Regardless, especially with the pharmacy board exams looming on the horizon for me, I know I've gotta get myself back in shape, and so I've been trying to get back on the writing grind. I hope I still haven't lost my touch; even though a quick perusal of my old writing clearly shows that I've managed to improve my baselines of quality, I still sometimes feel like my work's fallen off as of late...

Regardless, I've finally managed to bring myself to get this chapter out; hopefully I should be able to get some more work done, and not only post next month, but keep up that forward backlog, too. I find it almost fitting that it involves Travis looking for some lodgings at night, almost as if reflecting some of the stuff I've been going through. Heck, you can almost take it as a "reverse birthday present"; it is my birthday tomorrow after all, so yea! The Odd Adventures of Travis Fields, chapter 11:

oh maaaaan, thanks for the encouragement! Frankly, I've been slacking behind as of late (what a waste of break... :( ) but I've been doing my best to keep plugging away at it, no matter how long it takes. Ya know what? I’m really curious about something…

When you guys write (or headcannon) Kirby, does he speak?

For me, it’s personally the third option with him being able to speak in fragments. I like the idea of him learning throughout the series or just time in general.

This is something I see a lot of different takes on so I wanna see the most common opinion in the fandom.

After spending probably... a fair amount of hours working away in SFM, I've managed to produce this for use as a PFP. I know it isn't exactly the best, especially considering certain aspects of the pose, but I'm pretty darn proud of how it turned out otherwise.

This was based off of my TF2 Scout's actual loadout btw (image below the cut; forgive the flat textures and use of ZeesHUD, this was a screenshot from a while back)

And thus ends the Circles upon Circles saga. Although I barely participated myself, I did enjoy this experience from start to finish, and even when they're gone I just know Sage has a rent-free spot in my head. Man, this was great!

Finally, some fresh TOATF progress!

I'd say it's about time I'd get to work once again, so here it is! After being (rather slipshoddedly) reviewed by me, it's time I'd bring TOATF back into the spotlight once again! I've been making quite some headway anyway, so I do hope that my further writing endeavors do go quite well!

This chapter features my takes on the "furry bandit" battle showcased in the trailer, as well as start to set up one of Travis' first major hurdles in his journey across Pleiades: the hike to Steeple Station!
