I want to believe that if Finn had won, and Braun had tried to cash in on him, the Shield would still have attacked Braun. They would be correcting an injustice that has been allowed to stand unaddressed for two full years, because while Roman’s grievances were legitimate, they had nothing on Finn’s, and watching him bear them with a smile for so long was just too much. And stealing the title is stealing the title.

Of course, it would be Seth’s idea, an attempt to right the wrong he did to Roman with his own cash-in, and restore some kind of balance.

This isn’t the result I wanted, but I can’t stay mad at it. (I can stay mad at Vince, of course, but not any of my boys... never.)

Even so, I hope Finn got hugs from all three of them backstage, full of the gratitude and pride he deserves.
