THE DICE HAS STOPPED ROLLING... BUT NEVER SAY NEVER.

In the garden of bright neon light and the heavy breaths around a glittering table, the secrets of Nevada splatter newspapers and screens in bright red. Las Vegas wasn’t built in a day, and when the seven wonders were brought to the desert so were the seven sins. The downfall of some of the darkest and most powerful forces are a result of no more than their own humanity, and quiet possibly, the last spark of morality. 

Everyone suspects themselves of at least one of those sins in order to claim what they’ve been denied, but in Nevada, the victors are the ones who write anyone’s claim to fame. Each soul that walks the gardens have an opportunity to roll the dice, and they’ve finally come to a stop. It doesn’t matter if you are a snake in the sand, a hidden fox, a wolf lurking in the shadows, or a man of his word. No one can escape the single force of nature even Las Vegas’ deserts can’t burn out— time. And our time is up. You either got busy living, or you got busy dying. 

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure and retirement of Never Nevada HQ. We made it to over a year and fulfilled a total of six full events with over twelve chapters of evolving plot lines between them, a major plot drop, over one hundred characters passed through our doors, at least three character resurrections that made us go sike!, and endless plotting and connections. This group is everything I could have hoped for and more, and I thank all of you for your dedication and your interest. It has only made it this far because of the foundation of every roleplay, which is to write and express creativity above all else. 

The dashboard has slowed down in the last couple of months, and I have decided that the group as a whole has come to a close. Our last event was a great way to end with a bang, revealing one of our crime organizations to the public eye. We end on one final message in-character, and that is that no amount of power deems you invincible against consequence. Every gray moral character will have to color right from wrong, and even those with a black and white concept of the world has to accept that they bleed together at times. 

Once again, thank you all so much for bringing this group together and I hope to write with all of you in the future. Hopefully, Never Nevada HQ can return with a new chapter with dearly loved and new muses. Until then, never say never.

NEVER NEVADA HQ PLOR DROP: ELEUSINIAN MYSTERIES

The Eleusinian Mysteries surrounded the legend of those devoted to the goddess Demeter, the anchor of change that came over the earth without any doubt. The mysteries themselves were the initiation of those into her cult that held the loss of her daughter Persephone to the Underworld at the core of their beliefs. They held the temperament of the goddess as the reasoning for every harvest whether it was good or bad. This initiation brought those closer to understanding the control Demeter had, and in turn, giving them power through that knowledge.

Today, the city of Las Vegas has their own initiation. The truth is given to them on a scale and it is up to them to measure good and bad when the conspiracies they have turned a cheek to finally come to fruition. One of the forces that controls sin city’s flourish is now revealed, but will it make them a target or finally a crowned king? Their lies are buried deep, and surely their roots tangle with those who have found a way to thrive in the desert. It is up to those who still hide in the shade to decide if they find power in this, or loss. Will alliances bend or break?

ON THE ROAD TO HELL THERE WAS A RAILROAD LINE. At 2 AM on October 20th, the Brothers of Ichor carry out a robbery on one of the incoming trains passing through the Farmer’s Market. The lingering company of the brotherhood hasn’t been questioned all week because of their role in organizing the event, giving them the perfect excuse to leave members on site for the attack. However, their plans easily foil. 

IT WAS THE ROAD TO HELL, IT WAS HARD TIMES. Another presence has claimed the railroad as their own, one that the Brotherhood swears they have recognized. More than a few shipments that they’ve been tipped off on have come with instruction to move certain supplies with discretion, and any tampering has been met with force from an unknown party. This force is present that night, and claimed ownership over the railroad as a whole and ruining their fortune. A fight breaks out, and in turn, violence creates a friction that leads to an explosion. One train car sparks, and then bursts into flame that devours the goods targeted by the Brotherhood. Both sides are incapacitated, leaving authorities with an easy win.

NOW, NOT EVERYONE GETS TO BE A GOD AND DON'T FORGET THAT TIMES ARE HARD. The Las Vegas Police Department is instantly on scene, and the Brothers of Ichor are incarcerated impending charges for theft of interstate commerce. They’re not the only ones with a hit, though. The unidentified bodies left in the ash weave a story with the details that can be found, leaving a few identities linked to those on Visas paid in full through Asena Bank receipts by none other than the Fox family. 

IT’S AN OLD SONG. Suspicions regarding the Fox family ring through the news and hang themselves on every stand for viewers and readers to consume. The American identities sold to the city from the Fox family is torn apart, uncovering their Ukrainian roots. The Foxes are revealed as the Lysytsya family and every hesitation of their power is given a spotlight. It doesn’t take long for them to regain their sway, and when morning breaks and cameras zoom in on bright red hair and blonde strands threatened to be pushed out of place by autumn winds, their crowns don’t shift. The Lysytsyas now live in the public eye once more for every reason they avoided, but there’s not enough evidence to charge them. All that can be given to them is suspicion, a shoddy tattoo, and legal endorsement of parties who made poor decisions.

AND WE’RE GONNA SING IT AGAIN. While those in charge of upholding the law can do no more than find a way to catch the foxes, the rest of the city is given a warning. They are not the only power at play, and the Fox family has its roots laid in a perfect V that is sharp. Just look for the angle of the creature’s face inked on someone’s skin. They’ve been made, but the price is still to be determined. There’s a chance they can use it to their advantage. The fight for control of Vegas is once again rattling through the city.

SUMMARY: The Brothers of Ichor waited until 2 AM on Thursday, October 20th to rob a train. They run into another force that they’ve met before and have a shifting alliance with that has tipped them off on some shipments, given them supply, or warned them against tampering with certain trains. A fight breaks out over a specific train car with weapons and explosives of the Foxes, and an explosion ignites wounding both sides with mutual casualties. The Las Vegas Police Department is immediately on scene after the fires are cleared by the Las Vegas Fire Department. Upon the identification of certain fallen members of their community, they find a link between all Visas being paid for by the Fox family. Conspiracy theories of their criminal activity come into play but they cannot be tied legally due to the legality of formal endorsements. All that can be given to them is a poor decision in those linked to other crimes in the city. The Fox family has their Americanized reputation ripped to shreds, outing them formally as the Lysytsya family. The news takes on the story immediately and the family works to preserve their image as one of the richest families in Vegas. Certain conclusions are made certain to all other crime organizations–– the Foxes are another force in the city, and this will make or break them, and they could be next. 

IC INFORMATION

The Brothers of Ichor attacked an incoming train for its shipment at 2 AM on October 20th. Brothers on scene were Road Captain, Enforcers, and certain Riders impending initiation. There was a total of seven casualties when a train cart exploded.

The Foxes, tasked to ensure the shipment of illegal weapons, moved in on the Brothers of Ichor tampering with their supply. There was a total of four casualties. Fox members on scene were within the Vygyvytsya, Kurok, and Posnacheni ranks.

Following the investigation against the Brothers of Ichor, the core executive board (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) are called upon to answer for the group and fix their image as well as funding to protect their accused. The Sergeant of Arms is in charge of dealing with punishment in finding blame for the chaos after deciding consequence for the Road Captain.

The Foxes will have remaining members with punishment for their failure decided by the Muzhiki. Many will be stripped down to the Posnacheni ranks. The Lysytsya family is under heavy guidance of the Obshchak who serves as the bridge between the LVPD and the organization, finally having their official role come to light to those they work with within the police department.

The Lysytsya family is under heavy surveillance from the LVPD, but also public eye. News, journalists, and even paparazzi now follow their every move. 

Asena Bank has been approached for banking paper trails regarding the payment to the fallen and even arrested members of the Fox crime organization. Bankas and other members of the organization are directly involved in this uncovering. 

OOC INFORMATION

If your character is in the Foxes, their affiliation has been made! They are known members of the crime organization, though not all have been charged as there is no direct proof to further investigation upon the involvement of the Foxes sway with law enforcement. Many Fox members have been interviewed and charged with a fine, or have an impending court date. It’s safe to say that some NPCs will take the fall but your character can get out free!

The Lysytsya family are the worst kind of celebrities and their American identities are now public information. For example, Ollie Fox is now known as Oleksander Lysytsya. 

If you want your character to have sustained injuries, they must be a member of the Brothers of Ichor or Foxes for this event. 

If your character is in the Brothers of Ichor, they have been taken into custody and interviewed. Most members have been let go and charged a fine as evidence of their robbery was primarily destroyed with a few exceptions, or blame put on the fallen NPCs.

You may continue threads regarding the Farmer’s Market until Friday, October 21st. After that, no new threads regarding the market should be made though you can continue them as you please.

NEVER NEVADA HQ EVENT: ELEUSINIAN MYSTERIES

The Brothers of Ichor bleed for their community, and despite the chill their presence brings even on the hottest of summer nights, their devotion to the city of Las Vegas has sprung sweet blossom. All members are devoted to local business and prioritize the people left behind in the blinding glamour of sin city and its tourism. Hosting a farmer’s market every year, all corners of Las Vegas gather beyond the gawking of a sin gone wrong or to point fingers at victim or foe. 

In the name of the harvest, the need to collect necessity for impending storm and starvation still remains even in this century. The families established not by blood but by oath in Las Vegas appear for more than just spiced sweets, but to weed out threats and solidify the grasp on alliances. Autumn is the time for the strongest to survive, and it will show who can prosper in the darkest hours to come. 

SUMMARY: Supported by the Brothers of Ichor in order to promote local business and bring harvest to the desert, the 21st annual Autumn Harvest is in full swing for a week in-character. Many local businesses from store fronts to bars to coffee shops put their best foot forward to welcome a new season even if the heat is still heavy. It’s an opportunity for residents to gather fresh produce and the community to come together, but more importantly, the chance for all organizations to scope out new members. Months have gone by and alliances shift, and it’s time to test the loyalty of current members and search for new ones. 

IC INFORMATION

Autumn is a state of mind in Las Vegas. The heat is very much present but at least there’s no more rainstorms. 

In-character, the event will last from October 9th to October 18th, with the market opening at 9 AM and closing at 9 PM.

Cytherea Gallery has some art work on display specifically by local artists who are present to discuss and sell their work. 

Styxs is selling ale and other spirits with donations for local foundations as the Brothers of Ichor are heavily invested in their community. There is also a beer drinking contest that will allow participants to be bet on. 

Caesaries Salon is selling beauty products and all-natural elixirs. 

Daedalus Studio is offering discounted piercings and palm size tattoos. 

Rousseau’s is offering grilled food and has vintage motorcycles that the mechanic shop has fixed up on display for sale. 

Killer Cupcakes is selling autumn themed baked goods. 

Ambrosia Cafe is selling autumn themed coffee drinks.

Arlsan Bakery & Tea Room is selling tea and tools to make the best at home tea, as well as traditional Turkish baked goods. 

Chef Tian’s is giving their own spin on autumn themed cuisine, as well as selling their infamous soups and smaller meals. 

Vermillion is taking donations of clothing and household items to be given to local shelters. 

Elysian Market is selling flowers and other greenery, as well as promoting plants that will thrive in the season to come.

Gerovit House is taking donations and offering dinner deals at the restaurant to those in a raffle. 

Toddy Leash’s Ice Box is bringing the cooler season to onlookers with a pop-up ice bar. 

Vicky’s has its infamous Vixens dressed in costume as witches and autumn nymphs to perform and promote the burlesque club. 

Three Fates Diner is doing walking samples and providing access to their drive through menu right in the midst of the market.

The following organizations have tasked their members with the following..

BROTHERS OF ICHOR: The Brotherhood has tasked the majority of it’s members to hold security, as well as avert attention away from the train tracks following the festival. They are looking to mask stealing cargo from in-coming shipments with the busy crowd in order to make a faster getaway and bribe law enforcement where they can. 

ASENAS: Members are encouraged to solely become social and mingle, expanding connections. After their swift recovery, they are given the chance to practice the mundane–– but it doesn’t hurt to reel in someone who needs more than a sprinkle of cinnamon for philanthropy. 

THE WHITE SNAKES: It is time for initiation, and all prospects will be tasked by current members to prove their loyalty. This is the first integration into the White Snake Society, where members reveal their roles to prospects and their responsibilities in conjunction with wherever the prospect finds their place. The tasks at hand are collecting supplies for their own initiation banquet such as peaches, tea leaves, jade from other local businesses, and other fruits to complete a basket. 

THE FOXES: A gathering in the community is a red flag for the Foxes, but they must show face in order to show their support and turn away rumors of their selfish endeavors as nameless tycoons. The family is on display to show harmony and all members are set to work as security and avoid any threats. With so many people present, snakes should find it hard to slither in the grass without being trampled. All members are told to be weary of the cases they have under their arm, and make sure it doesn’t interfere with the day’s proceedings.
