"I'll be comin' for your love, okay?"
"I'll be gone in a day or two."
"It's no better to be safe than sorry."
"You're shyin' away."
"I know I'll be hunting high and low."
"There's no end to the lengths I'll go to."
"Oh, for you I'll be hunting high and low."
"I find it hard to breathe."
"I just want to talk to her."
"But would she laugh at my accent and make fun of me?"
"Oh, it doesn't seem like this blue sky's here for me."
"I'm in this big world without you."
"I need some time now on my own."
"I'm living a boy's adventure tale."
"Can't escape if I wanted to."
"I may be dreaming, but I feel awake."
"And where am I supposed to go now?"
"I love you."
"Hold me close to your heart."
"Touch me and give all your love to me."
"Please don't hurt me."
"I'm trying hard to make you jealous."
"It's so strange when you're away."
"Oh, you know that it's just not true."
"It doesn't have to be this way."
"I knew this girl would break my heart."
"I need your love."
"Don't walk away."
"Let's stay friends forever."
"Here I stand and face the rain."
"I know that nothing's going to be the same again."

"Hmm, hmm." This comment finally allowed Fu Xuan to smirk. "They should be able to make money for themselves! Let them learn the hard way about the consequences of squandering. You ought to keep the spoils to yourself."
What old man is not want to misplace his cane some day... "You're very selfless indeed, Welt. Your fellow Trailblazers occupy much of your thoughts, but as for your own needs and aspirations..."
âBeyond the necessity use for even older aches some daysâthough that just may be me hoping most people would have enough sense to not try and touch an old manâs cane.â He shook his head. âThe attention when using it I donât really mind. Though managing the size of the spatial rift is possible for me, the conductor is aah... less than understanding if something were to happen.âÂ
Not... that he knew exactly what that was like or was drawing on any one experience. Nope, definitely not. Though he did consider himself lucky no one had pondered the extra cups on the train just yet... âBut I will keep your suggestion in mind, Madame Diviner. It could actually help in keeping the young oneâs supplied with an allowance.âÂ

Fu Xuan crossed her arms and closed her eyes, brooding over what he said. A "hunger," "the" hunger. ... "and then they were gone". ... An eye twitched. What? Why can't I make anything from that? She opened her eyes and looked into his, as best as she could from this angle. "Hmm. On this, then, I insist that you elaborate." I suspect, yet, that he will not...
The desire to appreciate another perspective on the Yuque drew strings inside her. She let out the faintest sigh through her nose.
"It was all of 'em...I didn't wanna be trapped with it all...t' be feared and revered. I wanted t' live a life like anyone else." Not that he ever could. No, not when he was as beloved as he was by the Abundance. But it had been the thought at the time.
"I remember...I was s'pposed t' visit one of th' other ships...with an escort." Anywhere he went there was an escort. He'd so often slipped away, after all. Even despite best efforts and the hard to move in clothing he'd been made to wear so often. "...it was th' hunger. It hit me an' then...they were gone. Not a one of 'em or anythin' t' show I hadn't been there m'self from th' beginning." And then came the difficult part. Everything after where he couldn't remember beyond the gaze of an Aeon. What had happened? How had he ended up in Belobog? They were questions he would've liked answers to. Some day.

"Indeed, your metaphor best describes reality, not this game," she agreed." Once she took stock of his move, Fu Xuan adjusted herself in her seat and smirked. "You lay out the prerequisites for me to mislead an observer about my personality, based on my chess, General," she commented. Recalling her previous calculations and sorting on those she made for this particular replyâand without needing to double-checkâFu Xuan sacrificed another piece, checking Jing Yuan's King once again.
"You didn't see this coming?"
"Yes, of course it is only a game. It is unwise to use it to simulate a real battle," he chuckled.
Pieces could never be compared to people after all.
"ButâŚ"
Fingers tapped on the table while Jing Yuan kept pondering his next move.
"Comparing the entire Luofu to a king piece isn't the best comparison."
He finally decides to have his king piece flee. To escape danger and draw the other pieces away.
"A more suitable metaphor would be one of the Six Charioteers being a king piece. But if one was lost the entire Luofu would not crumble. The others would be able to carry on in their steed until a replacement could be found.
"Anyway, it's your move, Diviner Fu."

Fu Xuan chuckled at Sushang's resolution. "Ah, Sushang. The outcomes arising from my divinations take place regardless of your knowledge of them. Don't you understand?
"Moreover, your response confirms my suspicion that you are inclined to believe everything that I say, which is a dangerous condition."
The young Cloud Knight's head was spinning. It wasn't that she was dumb but abstract thought experiments? Philosophy? Was not her strong suit!
"Oh ha ha, very funny Master Diviner!" she huffed, planting her hands on her hips.
"Ugh, then I'm just going to go through life without any divinations that mess would stress me out too much! I see why it's needed for the ship as a whole but other than that I would never. I don't know how your commission deals with it!"

As divined. A catchphrase, by now.
"That's quite correct, and it is indeed taxing on the mind. However, I have performed my duties for centuries now, so they are second nature to me, and I have learned to live with the stress and fatigue." There was no need to mention the physical pain from the third eye. "They will not impede me."

"I didn't have any at first, but now I do." In other words she simply grinned, deciding to ask. "Say, what does a Master Diviner do? Do you like divinate the paths and stuff? That sounds like a pretty taxing job on the mind, doesn't it?"

Hey guys!
Sorry again for not checking in for a while. Got some bad news. I was going to finally reply to threads today, but my computer wonât turn on!
Hopefully I can figure out whatâs wrong with it soon. Might take it into the shop that fixed it up for me back in December. Again, Iâm sorry for leaving you all hanging for so long. School starts in two weeks, but Iâll try to be active again once I can get my computer working again.

"As a matter of fact..." The omniscia flickered. The upward intonation suggested a chuckle. "I can. That's why it's a good thing that you're the one maintaining this power. I'm sure that you wouldn't trust anyone else with it, were it possible.
"As I suggested, there is a possibility that you could show off to some onlookers if you're in dire need of tips, but you're as likely to attract unwanted attention. Wouldn't it make more sense to experiment in private? Or did inspiration strike just moments ago and demand release?"
âHm? Ohâno, Iâm quite fine. Itâs old injuries of mine that act up under pressure. Quite literally, in this case.â As truthful as it was, the jokes were... well, probably unnecessary but Welt found them funny. Somewhat, anyways, though his mind brought forward an idle thought of therapists and the kind of money they could make on him...Â
âWhat I can tell is that itâs a dangerous tool that requires respect and understanding. Itâs why thereâs a biometric lock on it, if any were to touch it well... letâs just say it wouldnât end well.â Was there one? Actually, knowing Void, probably not. Best he didnât test that... âIf one didnât understand how to maintain control, wellâyou can probably imagine how catastrophic that would be.âÂ

"This is an excellent immersia. It's difficult, but fun, perfect for a strategic mind like mine. I'm certain that Jing Yuan would enjoy it as well."

Sorry for being slow lately. Iâm preparing myself to go back to school for my Masterâs and looking for new jobs.
Also, I was working on a fanfiction on FFN, and then that site stopped working, which is a real pain. Who knows if it will ever go back up⌠crikey.

Fu Xuan nodded, quickly deducing, "So you wanted to escape. Pressure, disillusionment, or a drive to occupy yourself in a more meaningful way would have motivated your decision. I won't press you on it if you don't wish to elaborate.
"In any case, executing your escape was undoubtedly a difficult undertaking, for many different reasons, not least of which all the eyes on you. Do you remember how you achieved it?" Any clue would help, so long as it led her to understanding the mindset that guided his past life's actions, for it would aid her in guessing at his current mindset. So she hoped.
"No, but y'are th' Master Diviner. Most people know more about me th'n I do." A sad truth, even with the dreams. Compared to others of his kind, he was still young. And the life he'd led so long ago was no longer his. Those memories were fleeting and he'd barely begun to scratch the surface of what life had been like as the High Elder Mons Grandis. Barely wanted to return to it.
"...I s'ppose that's as good a question as any." He mumbled, brushing his hair behind his ear before he looked away from her. "I guess...I don't really know th' extent t' which y'know things. I know th' general didn't know when I told him..." He let out a long sigh, looking up towards the dark of the sky. Allowing himself to relax and show his features again. "...I don't remember a lot...but I remember...feelin' trapped...all th' time."

Fu Xuan, what are your thoughts about potatoes?
random ask
"Stir-fried potatoes in redcloud chili sauce is an excellent dish. Much healthier than the mass-produced, over-salted yet flavorless fried potatoes that you see wherever the IPC sets foot."

"The divination would inform us whether or not it could be avoided. The outcome must follow from the divination." Fu Xuan made the Matrix of Prescience appear before her, studied the positions of the trigrams, found the corresponding text, and sighed, "Just as I suspected. If you focus too much on trying to avoid a clumsy error, Sushang, then you are more likely to commit it. I believe that you're feeling much more tense than you reasonably ought to be." She smirked. "Have some tea to calm your nerves."
The young Cloud Knight frowned, her brow furrowing as she thought over what she was just told. She wasn't stupid but thinking about abstract things like this weren't her forte.
"W-wait... if it can't be avoided then what's the point of even doing the divination then?"
Wasn't the whole point to use that to make the best decision beforehand dor a situation?
