whats the relationship between jack and spot like?

I feel like they are super similar, yet both of them cannot see it, and refuse to admit it. I feel like there's a bit of tension (not that kind of tension) there but overall they get along okay

Do you think Jack believes in the cowboy hat rule, if so what would the situation look like?

I'm not too sure to be honest. Theres a lot of really cute ships out there including Jack with some really sweet dynamics that would match well with his personality

Davey Headcanons

He is incredibly smart, and was high up in the ranking of his classes, especially in classes on politics and government proceedings

He very much believes in equality but never really stood up for it or himself until the strike

He is the mother figure of the newsies, he loves them all and always makes sure that they are getting enough food, water and sleep. He fusses a lot

He is gay. 100%. No doubt. He pretended to have crushes on girls to fit in but he always knew who he was

He and Kathy get along really well. Being two of the only educated people in the newsies group, they chat about books and things a lot because they are both major nerds

He's a really good brother to Les but tries to take on the parent role a bit when they are joining the newsies. Seeing as Les loves it so much, he loves to see him happy, but is a bit worried that Les might never want to go back to school (/lh)

Once Jack called him Davey, everyone refused to call him David, including Les and Sarah. Les would always say that David sounded weird afterwards and that Davey suited him better.

I feel like he would do something in the law pathway for his career, fighting for civil rights to help others in situations like the newsies had been in

He is a total book nerd. Any book, he will demolish. He is a speed reader 100%

Spot Headcanons

He is a chihuahua man and no one can tell me otherwise

He is a tough guy on the outside but a softy on the inside. He was always really caring to all the younger newsies and would make sure that they were safe and comfortable and would beat up anyone who slightly upset them

He is overprotective to the max about those he cares about or about those that may need protection

He is always made fun of for his height, but he will promptly sock you in the face

The only one allowed to call him anything but his chosen name is Racer. Racer is the only one that would ever know his birth name and the only one other than the really young ones able to call him Spotty and anyone else who attempts to try to, will probably end up missing teeth.

Isn't always mad, he just has a really bad RBF and a very short temper so his anger can come on quickly even if he wasn't angry before

Hates most people and mainly tolerates the Manhattan newsies for Racer's sake

Always felt that people would never take him seriously with his height so he trained so he would be physically strong enough so he would be respected enough and not get beat up so much

He loves Race with all his heart and is completely devoted to him. A single scratch on Race is another body hitting the ground

Albert Headcanons

Always is made fun of for being a redhead but is used to it

Best friends with Race (sorry, I don't ship Ralbert but to each their own) and they once again, share a single braincell

Race and Albert constantly cause immense amounts of chaos. They are little demon children that revel in chaos.

I feel like he's a pyromaniac. He loves fire and is obsessed with it. It suits his fiery hair and personality

He is autistic. Thats it

He generally hates physical affection but he will tolerate it from some people

He doesn't like many people, and if he does, he doesn't necessarily show it. He will still bully you, but in a nice way

He has a "only I can make fun of them" mentality when he comes to his friends, so he will stand up to defend them if he perceives that someone is making fun of them

Will rant for hours about his hyperfixations if you let him

Has a relatively large family who he loves very much, but since meeting the other newsies, he truely considers them to be part of his family

Racetrack Headcanons

He and Albert are 100% best friends (sorry, don't ship Ralbert) and share a single braincell

Stoner. 100%

Medda is his mom too, can't tell me otherwise.

He and Jack have the sweetest sibling relationship known to man and even though they are not blood related, they are truely each-other's chosen family

He is obsessed with Spot. And it is a mutual thing. They are the totally and unequivocally in love with one another. The only reason he didn't go to Brooklyn when Jack was asking the newsies as a whole is because he didn't wanna out their relationship before Spot was ready

If he likes you, he will infodump. It could be about anything but he will do it.

He bites. He will bite you. If he likes you that is. The thought process being, person sweet, sweet = yum, bite if sweet, bite person

Albert and Race cause constant chaos and no one can tell me otherwise

Worries that those in his life (especially Spot, Medda and Jack) aren't proud of him and find him a burden when really he's not

Totally addicted to caffeine and nicotine. Coffee and cigars/cigarettes (or vapes if it was this century) are life

Jack Headcanons

If he likes you, he will draw you and either keep it to himself, or sneakily give it to you

Medda is most definitely his mom, and he learnt his stubbornness and strong will from her. She is sometimes the only person who can ever get through to him when he's being an idiot

He is totally obsessed with country music

He truely sees Racetrack as his little brother and took him in

He's incredibly thoughtful, and everything he does for people he always puts a lot of thought into, you mention you like a certain flower once? He will always make sure to include it in any gift he gives you

He is obsessed with cowboys to the point that at one point he got a cowboy hat and wore it for months straight

100% a bi icon who uses flirting (and adult activities) as a coping mechanism

He tends to hide his negative emotions from his boys since he wants them to see him as strong and unbreakable, but he is able to fully let his emotions go with only 4 people, Medda, Kath, Crutchie, and Davey

When he was younger and Medda would have a man around he'd always try to intimidate them to make sure they wouldn't hurt his Momma

When he loves someone, it is fully and unwavering. He's 100% an all or nothing kinda guy so if he loves you, he will ensure to make you happy in whatever way possible

Katherine Headcanons

She most definitely has a cat that she loves more than anything, and yes, that cat sits with her while she's writing

She 100% thought that she was a lesbian before meeting Jack then bi panic ensues

Darcy and Katherine were planning to get married to be each other's beards

All the boys find every nickname they can out of her name. Kath, Kathy, Kat, KittyKat (goes along with her loving her cat), Rinny, Rin etc.

She is definitely a hopeless romantic and believes that love conquers all and reads all the romance novels she can get her hands on

She writes her own novels, the usual genres in romance, but she also enjoys fantasy and dystopian. She always makes the main character a strong female lead, who doesn't need a man to advance herself and self esteem, though likes companionship

Though she seems very against Jack's advances seeing as they were not like what she had experienced

She steals the boys' clothes all the time since she finds the pants incredibly comfortable
