I sometimes wonder if my existence was worth anything. I don’t have a tragic backstory. My parents are nice despite the few hiccups but that’s normal. There’s always a little bump in even the most well-maintained roads. Some bumps are speed bumps made to slow you down and follow what has to be followed so you won’t hurt others or yourself. There’s always food, clothes and fun. I still have my friend since I was seven and we still talk.

And yet, I yearn.

I yearn for a friend just like the one from when I was seven, one who can understand and relate to me as best as she could. I yearn for a man to love me in poems, whisper my name into the folds of his blankets as he sleeps to dream of me. I yearn for more achievements despite what I already have could be a dream to some people. I want to have a medal and stand at the stage holding a trophy and shaking hands with the teacher giving it. I want to have straight As and more accomplishments in sports.

But I never strive. Maybe it’s because of fear. Fear that when I try for a competition or sport I can’t commit and feel like it’s a burden and I would rather spend my afternoon drawing and writing on my dormitory’s bed. Maybe it’s confusion and lack of skill. I’m confused on people; whether they are comfortable with me or not or if they will stay despite my flaws. I’m confused if I’m ever deserving of friendship for I had lost a friend due to my own shortcomings that we both weren’t willing or couldn’t communicate. I’m confused if I should even try, for I dislike many things about my fellow schoolmates but would use them as ‘shields’ as we walk from one place to another because I fear of being alone and vulnerable and I don’t want to initiate all the greetings I have to give teachers, staff and seniors. Maybe it’s both, like how I fear the flaws of a man and all the stories of women before me. I fear he won’t be the kind and gentle protector once we become each others’ and that it was all a facade. I’m confused on what I really want and if I will ever find a man that cares as much as I want him to.

In the end, will my life be worth it? It feels so bleak, so boring and so uninteresting. It is nothing to be written down onto a piece of paper, immortalising it in stone with the words ‘I WAS HERE’ for what is the use of being here when I haven’t done anything? Am I doomed to only be an observer — the camera that records yet never films its own story. Is it too late to turn back? What if I fail at trying? Will it be worth it if I fail at trying? Will people hate me more if I do?

In the end, was all my past happiness enough to make my life worth sharing? A life worth being written down?

Ok so I had a thought. Where was Secretkeeper when the volcano erupted?

Was she already with Moon or was she running out the tunnel with the rest of the tribe?

If so, she probably would've passed by Morrowseer or was going with him. Maybe she stayed back a little to watch and see if he would follow her and almost got stuck herself if she didn't get out at the last moment. What was she thinking at that time? Was she thinking of how she should tell him about Moon and then felt immense relief that she didn't have to?

What about afterwards? Does she miss him? Did she wish of another life where her, Morrowseer and Moon could have a happy life together?

Fellas, one of my characters’ kingdom is based on Greek and New Zealand culture(mostly New Zealand. My character, the king, has some Greek roots.) For context, this is set in a fantasy world so it won’t hundred percently follow its reference but I need some male names right now. I’m stuck with Cyrus as his first name and now I want a middle name and last name. HELP.

Throwback to my recent English exam where the question was 'Write about an unforgettable day' and I wrote an essay about some college students finding a disoriented middle aged Tun Sri Lanang in a palm oil plantation and at the end of the experience he wrote a letter to them reminding them to not be easily influenced but still open to new ideas

My friend is talking about business and stock markets and we’re literally high schoolers. Anyways, too many competitions in my school require a ridiculous amount of money to join so how do I make money as a kid in a boarding school (we barely get out)

The Voidverse Part 1

Alright so here’s my post talking about the Voidverse, which is what I call the universe where (most of) my future books will take place.

Where are we?

We are on the planet known as Eclipsaris! It’s a planet really far away from Earth but the people that live here have very Earth-like systems because the aliens here are descendants of the original aliens and some humans that teleported there through black holes known as black holes.

Eclipsaris is divided into four continents: Far North, High East, Westland and Under South. Very creative, I know. Under these continents are several kingdoms. Each continent also has a council that consists of their respective kingdoms’ rulers. Every few years depending on the continent, they choose a new head ruler from whatever kingdom is next in line. All the continents are also under a union called [ ], similar to the United Nations on Earth.

Who are the people here?

First of all, the people of Eclipsaris are divided into three main groups: Residents and Eclipsians, also known as Voidish. Under Eclipsians are a few tribes [MUST BE UPDATED] that are based off animals, elements, mythology and a few are based off plants. Their cultures are based off Earth cultures where some are merged or changed to fit the conditions of their environment. Residents on the other hand are humans that fell into the black holes and has changed forms to resemble something, most of the times an object. First we will delve into Residents.

Residents

Residents are humans that fell into the black holes. The black holes pop up randomly and once you fall in, you can’t get out. Residents describe the feeling of being transported as “cold, like your body’s being frozen and then quickly turned warm”. Some describe it as “like electricity is coursing through your very cells and tissues, like electrolysis”.

Residents are mostly children because children are stupid and they run off to who knows where and then they find themselves stuck on another planet. Residents, as mentioned earlier, resemble an object or at least their head resembles one, for example, a TV head. Some might just be an object with little arms and legs where their anatomy cannot be discussed as none have consented to being dissected(yet). So most records are illegal and to protect the dignity and integrity of this blog, I shall not disclose any illegal information.

Eclipsians and their tribes

Most tribes have their own special power and characteristics, with some tribes having sub-groups under it.

Inerts

Inerts make up the bottom part of the social hierarchy due to their lack of powers. Inerts are sort of elf-like, with their pointy ears and unnatural hair colours(may vary). Inerts, quite ironically, also make up most of the royal families of the Eclipsian kingdoms. This is due to their ability to be a third party if an intertribal conflict happens as they don’t have powers. However, many do not like this system but they just go with it anyways. Inerts can also be descended from other tribes but so much intermarriage has happened that they just lost their powers though might show some traits like the Crystalli royal family, that came from the Arctic tribe. The Arctic tribe has ice powers and resemble some arctic animals like the arctic fox. The Crystalli royal family would sometimes show traits of the fox like ears and tails but they don’t have the powers. Some don’t even show any animal traits and their ears are the standard pointy ones.

Arctic

The Arctic tribe lives in the Far Northern region. They make up the majority of the tribes in the continent and is one of the few tribes to have sub-groups with their own social hierarchy. Not all arctic animals are turned into these people. The sub groups are the polar bears, the arctic foxes, wolves, buzzards and snowy owls.

The Arctic tribe’s social hierarchy is based on which sub-group has the highest body count that century. You see, inter-sub-group cannibalism is legal and while not always happening, it’s a tradition. They even have an entire day dedicated to legal cannibalism. Other days, there’s restrictions like no eating children, the sick, etcetera and the rare peace calls during emergencies like a sudden population decline, war and so on.

This tribe specialises in hunting, engineering(there’s a lot to improve where they live, and they adapt to whatever) and, in my opinion is quite surprising, textiles. Like I said, they adapt to whatever without complaint and when it comes to keeping warm, they decided to make up for the lack of pretty summer flowers with colourful clothing. The Arctic tribe’s culture(in terms of clothing, non-tribe-members-as-food food and others) is inspired by the countries where these animals are from.

Swarpy

Swarpies are the mix of swans and harpies. They mostly live in wetlands and near forests. Females are generally taller and larger than males, and feature more swan characteristics than harpy, but the harpy features they do have are [artistically enhanced] to be scarier, making them prefer to wade in the lakes and ponds they live in. An average female can reach up to ten feet in height in their original swarpy form, about seven in their humanoid form. Males on the other hand are smaller, more harpy-like and prefer to stay in trees and on land.

Swarpies have a pretty close-knit community style of living and while the males and females prefer to stay in different but still very near places, they can still go about their businesses on land. The houses and shops are built in different sizes depending on its placement to make it easier for the different swarpies. For example, shops built near lakes are built to accommodate the maximum height of female swarpies while stalls built on trees(treestalls?) are smaller due to obvious reasons. Swarpies also change from humanoid form to swarpy form whenever they go to land or outside their community. A humanoid swarpy can be easily spotted from their long necks, longer fingers and hair that almost resemble feathers.

A female swarpy has the head and torso of a woman and the lower half of a swan. Their wings which resemble a mix between a swan and harpy eagle’s usually rests on their sides like a swan does. The ends of their webbed feet have sharp black talons that are also present on their hands; large and feather-like fingers that can crush an Inert’s skull. Their hair consists of layered feathers, with darker grays on the tops and edges. Their eyes are all black and usually almond-shaped. Instead of a mouth, they have a beak which is black and contains sharp teeth. Sometimes, they would shapeshift their mouths invisible and communicate telepathically. This is common practice for soldiers. Their necks are longer but not THAT long. Just enough to cause an uncanny feeling if their towering height wasn’t enough to creep you out. The entire body of the lady is covered in white, gray and black feathers, its pattern depending on the swarpy. Their tails are like a harpy eagle and some people say that they would sometimes put poison on the edges before going out for battle

Males on the other hand have the head to waist of a man, fully covered in the same white, gray and black feathers so it kinda looks like the body of the eagle they resemble. Their legs resemble a harpy eagle, with sharp taloned feet. Their hair is like the feathers on the head of a harpy eagle, with some feathers at the back being able to stand erect as a threat. Their wings start from the back and some would drag on the floor because it’s that long. They have that black band on their eyes like swans do, and they have the same beak the females have. They can also communicate telepathically and hide their beaks. They have swan tails and their feet have small webs connecting them. They don’t really have a purpose. The males’ necks are also a little longer but most of it is hidden under a bunch of pretty feathers.

Swarpy culture isn’t really based on a specific country or race.

Anguine

Literally meaning ‘resembling a snake or snake-like’, these people have snake mouths which includes those venomous fangs. They have the same eyes and little scales on their necks. Some Anguines have a hood like a cobra or a tail(quite rare) with a rattle at the end. Their culture is inspired by Mesoamerican civilisations and their modern day counterparts’ cultures because the first people that arrived there were from the ancient civilisations and then some modern Mexicans dropped into a black hole and built a community just for them because everything else is too unfamiliar or straight up scary and the Anguines just accepted them as part of the family even if they were a little jumpy.

Anguines usually live in the south-western parts of the Westland continent, where historical buildings dating to the first Residents that arrived are still present.

Fr I love my Chinese antagonist. Wish we got more backstory. Like why did he got into the fight in the first place? What has he been doing this whole time? Sooo I made a fanfic(oc x canon). Rarely update but I just did a few days ago(yay) soooo :)

Does anyone wanna talk about Prince Series’s writing? Do you think it’s bad? I feel like it kinda is especially with character writing

Ok so I made a post earlier about Moon and the Greek!Au where the three moon dieties are like her fairy godmothers. So a part of the AU is that Clearsight took a sip from Lethe and became Moon OR something happened and half of Moon's sould went missing, Hecate gave her a necklace to keep her sane because a side effect of that is that ghosts could talk to her in her dreams. The thing is, the necklace also has Clearsight's soul in it and the two kinda talk to each other whenever the three moons or Secretkeeper couldn't be there. Clearsight can't stay for long but she tries to help Moon in any way she can

My friend and I had a theory on WoF and I think it's rly interesting but it kinda doesn't make sense

So, in short:

there is a very small chance Moon would be able to read, write and speak properly without someone teaching her

the rainwings are also too far for her to hear their thoughts properly, although Moon would still hear some occasionally

theres no way Moon could learn from her mother as her visits were too short and too little for Moon to be able to learn anything

She doesn't have any scrolls lying around to know how to read and to recognise what letters are which and be able to write

IN SHORT, there's a very low possibility that Moon learnt all of these by herself.

SOMEONE MUST HAVE HELPED HER. or should I say, some ghost?

WHAT IF by all random thoughts together, Clearsight helped Moon?

This would make sense as Clearsight would still have her powers after dying, plus, she would probably go back to see where the night wings are now

Most likely, Clearsight would look around, find the volcano, and eventually would see Secretkeeper sneaking away through the portal and follow her. She would find Moon there, alone.

Also, Moon, according to Luna, she is kind of "spacey" at weird moments. She has a sort of distracted air to her, as though "invisible dragons whisper in her ears while everyone else is talking". (Taken from the wiki)

This could mean that the invisible dragons could be the ghost of Clearsight leading her on

Another thing: due to Clearsight's strong foresight, she would see Moon's involvement with Darkstalker in the future, and would, of course, be worried as she knows his true nature.

She (Clearsight) would want to guide Moon and teach her.

Due to Moon's mind reading, she might have been able to hear Clearsight's ghost- and Clearsight could use that to her advantage as she could imagine things and Moon might be able to read them, e.g., Clearsight could imagine the image of the letter a in her mind, and Moon could read it and learn slowly.

but that's just a theory. A BOOK THEORY!

This could also just be a alternate reality, who knows?

There should be more drama with Moon about her dad being Morrowseer actually. I also think she should look a little like him.

Like. I want the DoD to look at her and for a moment it feels like they're looking at a fucking ghost before they recognize the shade of her scales and the kindness in her eyes. I want Glory to have had a miniature heart attack when Secretkeeper first revealed her, for baby Moon to have simply tilted her head cutely and wondered who the big, burly NightWing that flashed in the queen's mind for a moment is.

Why did they make Morrowseer her dad if they weren't going to DO ANYTHING with it???

Something I drew at school a while ago. She's one of Hestia's friends and supposed to be a bisque doll (humans can get transported to the planet named Eclipsaris and turn into objects or plant based people called Residents).
