Week 13 signups: The Kdrama tropes Challenge!
Week 13 is upon us, and the NIF world has just expanded with NIF2. The NIF Drabble Challenge will of course, expand to fit the new universe and will accept all drabbles and works for NIF2: The Wind blows in Changlin.
This week, we are inspired by melodramatic tropes, or in my case, Kdrama Tropes! I’ve watched just too many a Kdrama to miss the wrist grabs, the truck of doom, the random amnesia, and the heartbreaking noble idiocy. This week, we have a host of Tropes to inspire you to write drabbles. We hope you will participate and enjoy it!

We’re back: Week 12 signups!
After a busy winter season burying my nose in tons of fics and enjoying the Yuletide and NIF Exchanges, we are back! The hiatus was not planned, but health+fic writing kept me away from devoting my full time to this. My apologies!
Without much ado, lets resume with Week 12!
This week, inspired by the release of Nirvana in Fire 2, the sequel, we will be doing a Post-canon challenge. We have three themes for this challenge, which you can adopt any one.

Signing up to be a pinch-hitter does NOT guarantee you will get an assignment. If you do get an assignment but you strongly feel like it’s a bad fit or that you won’t be able to deliver on time, you CAN refuse it. Life happens, we understand that! Zero Guilt policy!

After a short hiatus due to yours truly being unwell, we’re back with Week 11, where we put more angsty, grungy Nirvana in NIF than it was already possible. That’s right, this week the prompts will be all based on song lyrics from 90′s icon Nirvana.

Week 8 Appreciation Post!
prWeek 8 was indeed a lovely one, with quotes from famous people used in the show ‘Criminal Minds’. We had some lovely submissions, and one belated extra from Week 7! A BIG THANK YOU to all the lovely people who make every week better with their solid efforts.

Ember to Flame, a short yet impactful drabble by the lovely strangefen which talks about the silent power of Liyang, based on the Mexican Proverb, ‘The house does not rest on the ground, but upon a woman.’
She won’t let you fly, but she might let you sing, the story of Jingxuan in the aftermath of Consort Yue’s passing, written by @orangememory, inspired by Honoré de Balzac’s saying, ‘The heart of a mother is a deep abyss, at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.’
A two-fer from the lovely ancient_moonshine (paperfeathers)! For Week 8, she gives us an interesting take on canon in Ignite, with Jingyan as one of the Hua, set pre-series. It was based on the prompt, ‘Parents are the bones on which children cut their teeth.’
We also have her lovely Furtive, an extra for Week 7, showing some cute interactions between Consort Jing and Fei Liu (set in her New Spring series).
