With Artfight coming up, I’d figure now’s the time to introduce my future gen Invader Zim OCs! On the left is Mercury Membrane, future daughter of Dib Membrane, and on the right is Jam (real name Zim Jr), future smeet clone son of Zim! Here, Jam is making a getaway with the help of the Voot Cruiser, motivating Mercury to rethink her strategy for the next battle!

Mercury Membrane is the 11 year old future daughter of Dib Membrane. Much like her father, she likes to research paranormal activity, and she gets along with him really well for the most part. But also like her father, she’s stubborn, has an ego (she will brag about her family whenever she gets the chance) and she rushes into plans without thinking. This has absolutely landed her into trouble, but she never gives up and always tries to do the right thing. Especially since she now battles the son of Dib’s archenemy. Despite the logo on her computer bag, Mercury’s actually NOT apart of the Swollen Eyeball Network! That bag was gifted to Dib when Mercury was born, and he later gave it to her on her 11th birthday! She did sew the “MM” on her bag, though!

Jam is the equivalent 11 year old future Smeet clone son of Zim. His real name is “Zim Jr”, but Gir combined the names “Junior” and “Zim”, and somehow ended up with Jam, and while Zim kept trying to call him “Zim Jr”, it was too late and he just started calling him “Jam”. Gir also gave Jam his strawberry sticker to help him tell Zim and Jam apart from one another, despite their eyes being slightly different shades, and Jam is shorter than Zim. He’s boisterous, cunning, and is always on his feet; thinking up of a new plan to defeat his rival, Dib’s daughter. During a space expedition, Jam lost his right arm to a monstrous space beast, so Zim made him the robot arm you see on him today!

Zim couldn’t be a prouder papa towards Jam, and he sees his legacy with Dib continuing in their kids. Meanwhile, Dib is terrified that his daughter will face the same injuries and horrors that he faced when he battled Zim all those years ago.

Older Dib from “Dib’s Wonderful Life of Doom”! The only thing I really did was remove the goggles, but other than that, I think I did ok! Man, I’m still struggling with how to draw his hair, but I think I’m starting to get the hang of it! Decided to give him a bit of a smug look, and I ended up finding something I liked! I wish I had something a bit more creative for the background, but I’ve been having artist’s block lately 😅 Hope you enjoy!

I’m gonna introduce these guys later on for artfight, but these are my first Invader Zim ocs! On the left is Jam (Real name Zim Jr, got nicknamed Jam by Gir), future smeet clone son of Zim, and on the right, is Mercury Membrane, future daughter of Dib! Like their parents before, these two have a rivalry! But it’s a bit friendlier (like they always try to get the better grades at Skool, especially in PE), and it’s not NEARLY as brutal- Zim is SUPER proud of Jam for not only having a human rival, but that rival is a membrane! Dib on the other hand, worried his daughter will go through what HE went through, is scared for her safety, but upon Mercury’s request, he lets Mercury fight her own battle. She not only wants him to trust she can handle herself, but he trusts that she’s a smart kid

Zim’s 24th birthday!

So! Invader Zim just turned 24! Now, I know what you’re all thinking: “Dude, you JUST got into invader Zim at the beginning of this year, why are you celebrating the 24th anniversary?” Glad you asked, my friend, all of the cards in the WORLD were against me getting into this show- the big thing was, I was simply too young to watch the show; my parents were kinda strict with what we were allowed to watch (heck, my dad didn’t let me watch gravity falls during its heydays because he thought it was a little too scary, but he later lifted the ban when he saw how great it was!) and there was no way on EARTH my mom was gonna let me watch Invader Zim, especially given the disturbing stuff that happens-

24 years later, during the beginning of this year, a special little video got recommended to me- I wasn’t in the fandom at the time being, but I LOVE the song that was attached to it, and the animation recreated the style near PERFECTLY- I couldn’t stop watching it, and before I knew it, I was watching episodes- then I watched the movie, then I researched the wiki, and I just couldn’t stop thinking about it! Lo and behold, it’s my current hyperfixation, and it hasn’t stopped!

I like to joke that Zim planted that video in my recommendations so that I could see his awesomeness and appreciate him as the invader that he is- and it worked, but not quite how he expected it- because if he wanted me to be on his side, perhaps he should’ve picked a Zim focused animation instead of a Dib focused animation! He became the newest member of my comfort character club, and I draw him a LOT! He’s just a wonderful character, and he needs a HUGE hug!

Unfortunately, I do not have any drawings planned to celebrate the 24th anniversary, but mark my words, when the 25th anniversary rolls around, I’ll have something GREAT to share! So happy anniversary, Zim! I’m sorry it took me THIS long to appreciate you, but I’m sure glad I’m appreciating it now!

Hi, I finally found something I can post! So here’s an older image of the membrane kids dressed as Tanjiro and Nezuko from Demon Slayer for Halloween! I ended up HEAVILY simplifying the outfits from that show, but I’m still proud! Also, this was my first time drawing Gaz, but I’ve since gotten better with her! Hope you like the art! Also, I know little to nothing about demon slayer, so if it’s inaccurate, I apologize 😅

…wow! Thank you so much for the kind reception on my last Dib post! Didn’t think many of you agreed with the idea of Dib having a therapy cat!

As a token of thanks, here’s one of my slightly older artworks of Dib in 10 minutes to doom! This is the episode I absolute WISH was made, and I’m so disappointed it wasn’t… at least we got the recordings!

I added some additional angst; it was stated that Dib’s biology was incompatible with Zim’s Pak, so while the Pak is “possessing” Dib, he cries from potential pain (also I saw the fanon of Dib’s eyes glowing pink whenever the Pak is in control, and fell in love with it, so I added it here!)

Wicked with Sonic characters retelling anyone? So, @lovely-bunny-lb and I have been brewing up this for a WHILE, and I think we’re feeling confident enough to share what we made! Coming soon: Amy as Glinda! (Yes, we know some retellings are called AUs, but we like “retelling” better because it helps us stay on track)

So, as you’ve seen, I recently added a “Current Hyperfixation” tab in my description. This is so people are aware on what I’ll most likely be posting (worry not, everything will be tagged!)- and as you can see, I’m currently hyperfixated on Sonic the Hedgehog. I have a TON of fanart I wanna share, and I even have some fanfics! But I wanna make something very, VERY clear. These fanfics will have ships in them, and I don’t want to see any shipping wars in the comments. If I do see these, they will be deleted, end of. I’ve experienced this in the past, and I don’t want to experience it today.

Anyways, back to the stuff- I am going to be posting SO MUCH, you have no idea. Get ready for fanart, fanfics, and AUs of Sonic the Hedgehog! Have some old fanart from 2020 as a sneak peak on what’s to come!

So… It turns out I haven’t posting here as much as I’d like too. TLDR, I have so many ideas I wanna post (fandom, original, OCs, fanfics, etc) but I’m absolutely AFRAID of the kind of attention it’ll bring. However, I’m tired of holding myself back.

For those who wanted more info, here’s why I haven’t been posting as much as I should. So, first off, posting itself. I hate how much tags I need to add just for the CHANCE for it to be seen. I know it only takes a few minutes to add, but it’s the AMOUNT of tags that I need to add. Yet I know I can’t add too much, or else the algorithm may not like it. I also know that some medias (like Instagram and YouTube) REALLY want me to make shorts, but it’s just not my format at all. I want to post either just images, or videos. Nothing that only works for ONE form of viewing. And then there’s the problem with not posting frequently enough, which the algorithm hates even more. But this isn’t about the amount of “views” it gets, it’s moreso the system itself bullying you for not posting as much as it wants you too.

Second, the ideas that I want to post. I wanna post my fandom related stuff (fanart, fanfic ideas, fandom OCs), but I’ve feared that I’m “too old” for that stuff. That I should be posting other things instead. And while I do admit non-fandom stuff is my true calling, I have to say… fandom stuff is FUN. Yet I don’t want to be bullied or be dragged into “drama” whenever I do post it. I know this from experience, it has happened to me in the past back in the tiny app known as drawcast.

Despite all of this, however, I don’t want to be afraid anymore. I don’t want to feel lonely anymore. I want to start sharing ideas, and I want to fully commit to them. I admit, I have a tough time fully finishing ideas, but this is for a wide variety of reasons. Yet I do want to try and finish my long term ideas. Maybe someone will enjoy it, and if they do find it, thank you so much.
