(Aka Goodbye Year of the Spring Rabbit, Hello Alive AU)

Hello!

To all of those who have followed The Year of The Spring Rabbit, I want to say thank you! Though I initially set out to draw 365 Williams, I went through a lot of life changes this year that impacted my mental health severely, and while I am in a better place and finally enjoying life, I knew that I would be unable to catch up by the end of this year.

But when a door closes, another one opens! And I've decided to go forward and convert this blog into the dedicated blog for the Soldered Wires' Alive AU, with a name inspired from its formers' namesake.

The Year of the Spring Rabbit pictures shall remain on this blog. And shall be listed in order in a new pin at a later date :)

The inbox only had a few asks, but you are free to contact me if you would like to delete an ask. Otherwise, any ask from this former blog shall be answered in context to the Alive AU!

And of course, to the fellow people who have followed me solely for the 365 billiams, you can unfollow if you wish as this project is no longer active. Eventually, it shall be filled with 365 peepaws instead.

LOL I’m self aware that it’s silly to care +it’s your blog your rules but!! I would prefer keeping the “no” option as a simple “no” I think there’s value in simplicity and that one anon clearly just didn’t read? No one else has trouble parsing the options. House of cards has a million “no” votes but some of these non En shows have just as huge a “haven’t heard of it” sweep I think it’s fine the way it is and a change would be detrimental okay bye have a good day thanks for setting this blog up it’s very fun bye!!!

I mean yeah that’s what I thought so I’m glad other people agree with me. I was just worried after that one anon messaged that people might be confused. I know some blogs like this have it as just “no” and some have it as “no, but I’ve heard of it” so I wasn’t sure which was the better option honestly.

Guess the best option is to put it to a vote! Not sure why I didn’t do this when the first anon messaged lmao. Also never feel like something is too silly. Give your thoughts :) And I’m glad you like my blog <3 hopefully you still like it regardless of whether I change the options or not

Hi everybody! I was previously Backshotsdevil, if you remember being mutuals with me. I know I have been inactive for quite a bit, and I am back for the most part! However, im gonna be changing my content.

I know i got most of my mutuals from posting about webtoons, mainly lookism. But being completely honest that wasnt really fulfilling me much. So if you followed me for lookism content then pls feel free to unfollow!

Im going to start posting about my original characters and story now, because thats really the only thing i enjoy drawing now.

To my lookism moots, ill still interact with yalls content, ill just be posting my own now! I hope that yall find my ocs somewhat interesting, please do ask about them aswell!

Also it may look like my art has gone down in quality, but honestly i was putting a lot of time into my previous works and still ending up unhappy with them. I enjoy my art now, and thats all that matters.

Changes

A brand new town (sort of) feels like a new beginning, so I decided to make some changes.

This is a looooooong (text)post, but here's the short version:

TL/DR: I'm going give my story a title (below you can vote for what you think the better title is) and I'm going to start posting my updates to Tumblr in full. Want to know more? ⬇️

1. A story needs a title

Those of you who've been following me for years know that I've undergone some style changes. KimmiesSimmies, both on WordPress and on Tumblr, started out as a gameplay blog. I visited my Sims, played for a  bit, took pictures, added a few lines, and that was my (non-)story. Pretty soon, a shift started to occur. Even though gameplay remained my main focus, there was usually a theme, a story-like idea which played out. While my Sims led lives that ran as a thread through the tales I created, these could also easily be read as standalone stories about a prom, an athletic festival or a summer camp (I do miss Windiwell 😢). This shifted further when I wanted to write out more significant ideas, such as the story of a runaway girl (Go, Martha, go!) and what would happen to her. I couldn't possibly fit all that in one story update, so it became more extensive. Characters evolved, and my mind started working overtime, constantly coming up with new ideas. After a five-year pause (life got in the way) during which my mind never stopped coming up with new ideas, I decided to write my stories down and then go in game to take the pictures to support my story. And with that I had gone from "gameplay-based" to "story-based". Now, the stuff I write aren't standalone stories anymore; it's all part of one big story about the Sims of Honeycomb Valley (and The Hills), where everything is connected somehow and always ongoing. And a story needs a title. Which is why I decided "KimmiesSimmies" is just not fitting anymore. This will remain my username (because that's my public identity) and the address to my WordPress blog, but the story in itself will get an official title. After a loooooot of thinking, discussing and web searching, I've narrowed it down to two possible titles, and I would like you to give your opinion (yes, you, one of the six people who are actually reading this entire essay).

The options are "A Taste of Honey" and "Life with a Drop of Honey". The honey bit is important because I will never stray from my bee/honey theme. That's everywhere, so it should be in the title as well. "A Taste of Honey" is, in my personal opinion, more catchy. However, it's not unique. It's the title of a Beatles song and a movie from 1961. Now, I haven't seen this movie, but I looked it up, and the genre description was "drama, LGBT", which did make me chuckle, but with the current state of my story, those keywords are pretty fitting. "Life with a Drop of Honey" is unique but makes less of a statement and isn't as memorable, I think. So, please let me know which you prefer! I'm not promising this will be a democratic choice; I might go against the grain and pick the one with the least votes because it feels better, but I'd still like to know what you think.

2. Bringing the story to Tumblr

(Are you still here, reading this? Wow, I'm impressed! 😄)

Until now, I've posted my story on my WordPress blog only and made a post containing some pictures and a link to my WordPress blog here. Now, some people actually click through to my WordPress blog to read the full story (and if you're still here reading this much-too-long post, you're probably one of those people, so thank you for that ❤️), but many click like and move on, which is fine. However, someone I've come to consider as quite my closest friend (and therefore wouldn't lie to me) and who's a very excellent storyteller herself (and therefore knows what she's talking about) recently convinced me my story deserves to be read. So, after going back and forth on this, I've decided to start posting my story updates (since it's all part of one story, I will refer to them as either updates or chapters instead of stories) on Tumblr as well as on my WordPress blog. I haven't quite figured out the details yet, but I think I'll post a link to the full post for all those who want to read the whole update in one go (like I did up until now) and post the story in parts over the following days for those who'd rather read on Tumblr. My WordPress blog will remain "home base" where story updates, sim bios, and town tours live together.

So, that's it! Changes! Couldn't I tell that using fewer words? Probably. But I've never been one to keep things brief...

Hello everyone,

Im not sure if everyone has heard the news at this point and if this is how you’re finding out I’m so sorry. Unfortunately, Technoblade has passed away from stage 4 cancer. I was just made aware of this about an hour ago. Im absolutely heartbroken and all my condolences go out to his friends and family. Im utterly devastated as many of you know I got COVID last January and because of that I ended up having a seizure and becoming diagnosed with epilepsy. As all of that was going on the only thing that kept me sane and happy was Technoblade’s videos as well as the dreamsmp videos, if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have started writing and I wouldn’t have met all of you amazing and lovely people.

That being said I don’t think I can write for Technoblade any longer. I feel like personally writing for a dead content creator, whether his fictional persona or his irl persona, does not morally sit right with me. I love him, he’s changed my life as he did with many others and wish to honor him and his memory but I don’t think continuing to write x reader fan fiction is the way to do that. The last thing I want to be is disrespectful to his memory and those who are mourning. I hope you all can understand but if you don’t I also understand, you may unfollow me if you want too because this is why I built my blog upon.

I hope you all continue to read the other things I write because I don’t plan on stopping. I don’t know if I’ll write any further for dsmp at this very moment because everything is so fresh but if you have any other requests for any other fandom I’d be happy to hear them. I’m taking requests at the moment because I need to distract myself and I do that by drawing and writing. I can make a full list for all the fandoms I write for tomorrow possibly.

Lastly, I want to say my dm’s, inbox and discord are ALWAYS open. I may not respond right away but if you need to talk about what has happened you can reach out to me and I’ll try to respond.

🎃 Some changes coming to this blog 🎃

TL;DR Summary: You might notice me branching out into new topics or areas of interest now that I'm no longer writing TVD fanfiction. The overall vibe of this blog might alter a little. Although, I'll still be fall & autumn posting until the day I die and well into the afterlife if there is one. Things leaving: TVD fanfiction, my personal fanfiction, vampire stuff unless I feel like talking about them. Things possibly being introduced: More shitposting, mental illness related posts about my feelings on stuff, art maybe??? A journal on my adventures in lucid dreaming, shifting, and astral projection????* *That might turn into a whole new blog tbh. I don't know if any of my followers would enjoy listening to me babble about weird dream crap.

So! I've kind of run out of steam when it comes to writing fanfiction for TVD. Netflix eradicating the show from their streaming services kind of slammed down the final coffin nail on my muse, so to speak, & I was really bummed when I found out yesterday. This blog started out as a TVD/Originals sanctuary for me, after all... But it's grown into something more now. It's become a place where I can express feelings & thoughts that I've had hiding inside me but never felt safe enough to say out loud. And I've had so much fun with Autumn aesthetics; turning this blog into a Fall paradise has improved my mood in so many ways! Whenever I'm depressed, I just look at my blog and imagine that I'm relaxing in my pumpkin patch, far away from the noise and troubles of the world. & I've also made a couple of friends along the way here! Looking at you guys: @king-yandere and @margueritetheduchess05💖

The question remains, however. If I won't be writing about vampires anymore, then where do I go from here? What should I do? It's a solid fact that I go insane if I'm not actively engaging with my creativity in some way. Last night, the only thing I did was brainstorm, and stress myself out trying to think of SOMETHING. Today, I think I finally have a game plan. so lemme lay it out for you. Or rather, me. I don't know if anyone is actually reading this LOL. 🎃 "Accidentalslayer" name will still remain along with blog title. My autumn & spooky aesthetics are here to stay. I might reblog people's fanfics from time to time but I think I'm moving away from writing fic myself. Besides, it didn't feel very rewarding if I'm honest. I got very little engagement on my chapters. So, if I ever DO write another story on this blog again, it'll be definitely be an original fiction. My pumpkin hat off to fanfiction writers everywhere, though! A LOT of effort, time, and research goes into fanfic that readers will never know about... 🎃 It's already been there on the periphery but I think this blog might just turn into my main shitposting/journal outlet for talking about my mundane experiences. Mental illness, funny thoughts, & feelings that visit my brain every day. If I can somehow get my "art brain" to work again, I might post art here, idk. 🎃 I'm a spiritual hoe. I love talking about witchcraft, tarot, and lucid dreaming but I'm not really sure this blog is where I should talk about that stuff. I have @flowercrone for all my tarot/PAC readings but I've really REALLY started to take an interest in astral projection, shifting, and lucid dreaming. I even started a journal recently to document all my experiences. I should probably start another blog that's dedicated JUST to shifting and astral projection, idk. If you've gotten this far in the post, you're loved beyond belief right now. 💖 Please feel free to send suggestions to me in my asks if you have any ideas about anything I've written in this post.

Making Changes to Protect Minors

Given the recent events, I am making changes to how I run this blog. While I understand that each individual is responsible for the content they consume, I also know that I have a moral obligation as an adult to protect those under 18 from reading sexual content.

First, I will no longer take anon requests, regardless of smut content. I have turned off anon asks completely. If you want to send in a request and be kept anonymous (or have a fanfic side blog tagged instead), please indicate that in your ask, and I will gladly post the req in a separate text post. I know that not everyone wants their main blog associated with fandom content, so I will do my best to accommodate y'all while still keeping minors safe.

Second, I have hidden my blog from those without their own blogs. If you are an adult who wishes to read my writing, please create a blog and put your age in your bio.

Third, I will be checking my fic interactions thoroughly. From now on, anyone who likes/reblogs/comments on one of my fics MUST have their age in their bio, or you will be blocked.

To my fellow content creators, I know that this is overwhelming, but I urge you to take precautions to keep minors off of your blog. While we cannot police every blog that reads our work and ensure that they are 18+ years old, we need to do our best to keep minors safe.

If anyone needs assistance changing their settings, I have no problem explaining how to do so.
