Thinking, what went through eddie's mind at that moment, when he thought definitely he was gonna die. What did he want to say to buck while he was looking and reaching out for him..

In this little moment, I think eddie realized something for buck, he wanted to say something (not necessarily romantic-wise), but in general, as someone very closs him, even in ways that he doesn't understand yet. We know how eddie is a very reticent person who isn't expressive of his feelings. Instead it builds up inside him. Death is the most intense feeling a human can experience, the flood of emotions, the panic, the fear of the unknown, all the hanging matters you leave behind unsolved, unsaid. Makes the human brain go through waves of emotions.

And the worst part is that he doesn't remember it, which means that this was his subconscious at that moment! The part that doesn't lie.

And oh my, to think about all the unspoken words, all the unspoken feelings, almost spoken but got receded back to be buried again.
