You're laid on the bottom bunk of your bed, your niece on the top. You're on discord doing a roleplay. It hits you that the fandom and people you're roleplaying as are hated so much, and no one you know except this one person likes it. You're scared that your Tumblr mutuals will hate you after they find out you're in this fandom. The only thing you can hear is the noise of your pounding heart beat and passing cars. You drop your phone onto the floor, causing it to thud. Your breathing begins to speed up. Your friends are going to hate you after they find out you're a fan of this fandom. The people you talk to are going to hate you. In fact, you don't even know if they already do. You turn to your side and notice the picture laying beside you. It's a drawn picture of your old favourite YouTuber that you did when you were younger. You remember how you grew up with him, but have not grown distant from him due to the toxicity that surrounds him. You wonder if there will ever be a time where you can go back 9 years into the past, all the way back to "Clever girl...", which was the first video of his that you ever watched. You calm down, holding the drawing up to your chest. You don't care if people hate you. You have fictives from that fandom. So you can't help but be a part of it. You grew up around toxicity. So you can't help but surround yourself with it. You're afraid still, but you remember what that one youtuber had helped you through. Same with his now recent friends. You think, fuck it. I'm going to go binge watch his old videos. And you know what, might as well as binge watch a few of his friends' videos too. You smile and pick up your phone, typing in the YouTuber's name.
