I find it interesting that in the poll, people are voting for the less "obvious" choices for the Halloween charity stream. I expected Outlast and Dead by Daylight to shut everything else out. I didn't expect games like Yume Nikki and Pony Island to pull an early lead.

I don't have anything against Outlast (although the second game is one of my most hated games), just that it's always the "Halloween stream" game of choice.

Today we will be going live with some Mortal Kombat 1, my first AAA game stream since Spec Ops: The Line. Do keep in mind that I am playing the PC port which is far from optimized, so expect some serious jank!

Tonight: Mortal Kombat 1 - sticking with online matches, will stream the story playthrough at a later date. But I'm really excited.

Tomorrow: Will try to stream a reaction to EEK3 hosted by the HauntedPs1. Either way, will be playing the full version of Fear the Spotlight by Cozy Game Pals!

First* steps in UE5

Well, you all know what's going on so I've finally made the jump to UE5. *Have tried it a couple of times before but I never stuck with it. Still, this means that I'm not entirely unfamiliar. I started by porting my BETON BRUTAL player controller over to C++ and I'm very happy with the result as it feels exactly the same as the Unity version.

Besides that I've been fiddling around with this stylized environment which will hopefully turn into something bigger.

I've also just had a really good time working with UE5. It's kind of this huge mystery box and every day there's so many new things to learn about. It just feels so thought out and well designed (in most areas at least), which was just not the case with Unity anymore - so it's super refreshing.

Hey Unity, as a content creator who streams, records, reviews, and promotes indie games of various sizes, I think giving me the ability to potentially bankrupt the developers to oblivion might be a bit excessive. Even the games or creators I don't like. Can we not, please?
