Good morning, afternoon, and evening to everyone! It’s Magnolia here 💜 Huge thanks to everyone who took the time to vote in the poll and answer honestly, I really appreciate it. The clear difference between the “Yes” and “No” responses honestly just confirmed what I’ve been reading holds weight, and it’s pretty exciting to see it reflected like that. So thank you again!

It’s the planet Mars that’s said to give a slender waist, so if you have Mars in the ascendant, aspecting the 1st house, or even as lord of the 1st house (Aries, Scorpio) then your waist will more likely be quite slender.

THE KAMA TRIKONA AND IT’S IMPORTANCE IN THE ROLE OF SEXUAL ATTRACTION AND DESIRE:
Tumblr media
Hello, this is Magnolia! 💜 Hope all has been well. Today, I just wanted to speak on Kama because I believe that this platform and community would appreciate it, especially those who’s interested in the relationship portion of Astrology. Well, let’s get into it, shall we.

Firstly, what is Kama to begin with? The word Kama means desire. It’s associated with the Hindu god Kamadeva, who is known as the god of erotic love, pleasure, longing, and ultimately, desire itself. He carried a bow made of sugarcane, strung with a line of honeybees. His arrows, crafted from flowers were scented with five different fragrances meant to stimulate the senses. Kamadeva used these arrows to inspire feelings of passion in those he struck.

Kamadeva is often compared to the Greek god Eros in function, though they are not exactly the same. Importantly, Kama does not refer strictly to the physical act of sex, it means desire in a broader sense. However, when tied to sexual energy, Kama becomes a vital ingredient for sex and ultimately in the act of creation, serving a deeper role in the cosmic process of life.

The tale of Kamadeva and Shiva’s interaction helps illustrate this. While Shiva was in deep meditation, as a yogi immersed in spiritual stillness, Kamadeva attempted to shoot an arrow at him. The goal was to spark desire in Shiva for his consort Parvati, so that they could conceive Kartikeya, the god destined to defeat the demon Tarakasura. The purpose of Tarakasura was to defeat and ruin Indra, and ultimately bring the devas down. Only a seed of Shiva could take on this demon so it was vital for Shiva and Parvati to produce this child.

However, this plan went terribly wrong. Angered by the disturbance to his meditation, Shiva opened his third eye and incinerated Kamadeva on the spot. Kamadeva’s wife, Rati, the goddess of love, begged Shiva to revive him. Moved by her devotion, Shiva agreed but only partially. Kamadeva was brought back to life without a physical body, existing thereafter in a bodiless form (Ananga). This is why Kama is seen as more of a mental and emotional desire, rather than purely physical lust. Note, all of the Kama houses correlate to the air element, as it’s all houses associated to air signs.

Additionally, Kama is one of the four Purusharthas, the four aims of human life in Vedic philosophy, which is Dharma (righteousness), Artha (material prosperity), Kama (desire/pleasure), and Moksha (liberation). Kama being apart of the big four just shows how important it truly is to mankind. As I had mentioned prior, Kama also has a role in the process of creation, which essentially makes it vital for life. Interestingly, Kamadeva is said to be a son of Brahma, who’s the god of creation. Desire leads to creation, and that all starts in the mind. Overall though, Kama, like the other Purusharthas, is meant to be a stepping stone on the path to Moksha, the ultimate spiritual goal of human existence.

In Vedic astrology, the Kama Trikona consists of the 3rd, 7th, and 11th houses, and these are all associated with kama, which means desire. Again, it’s not just sexual, but any kind of longing, ambition, or drive.

3rd House – It’s here that we’re first introduced to Kama, where desire is born. This is the initial flame, the spark, the moment you realize you want to obtain something, like an object, a goal, a person, or whatever it may be. It’s the momentum that gives us the courage to pursue our desires and see them through to fulfillment. Mars is the karaka (significator) of the 3rd house after all, and a soldier needs courage, a courage which is, at its root, a form of intense desire.

Desire has the power to move people. It inspires us to go after what we truly want, giving us the strength, stamina, and willpower to push through obstacles and achieve it. As mentioned, Mars doesn’t move without purpose. A soldier doesn’t go to war without a reason, whether it’s the desire to win, to protect, or to fight for something greater. That’s where courage steps in. Courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s the presence of a desire strong enough to move through fear. If you want a visual example of this, watch the film The Breadwinner. However, to stay on topic with the sexual component, this is also where the initial spark that leads to sex begins. It all starts with desire.

Think of it as the “talking stage”, which involves flirting, playful banter, teasing, texting and things of that nature since the 3rd house also governs all forms of communication as well. The 7th house is the 5th from the 3rd, so romance (5th house) can begin or flourish through communication (3rd house), which benefits the partnership (7th house). That’s why talking would be a component here. I knew a guy who had his Jupiter on my 3rd and we would subtly flirt with each other, as well as our Mars and Venus were aspecting but it lead no where substantial though. Just playfulness with sexual undertones. However he’s still drawn to me despite being in a relationship.

7th house - It’s the house of partnerships and unions. Once desire is born in the 3rd house, where the spark is lit, so the 7th is where that desire seeks connection, especially with another. This is where Kama becomes relational. This manifest as sexual union, marriage, business partnerships, any form of one on one engagement. It’s the drive to fulfill a personal longing through someone else.

It’s our urge to unite physically with another person. The craving for intimacy, for contact, for union, this drive is primal in nature and deeply embedded in all living beings. The sign on your 7th house cusp shows the type of energy you’re drawn to (also subconsciously project, as it creates an aspect to the 1st house), and when someone’s planets land there, it activates that longing. You feel seen, desired, and pulled toward them in a way that can be magnetic or even overwhelming. Benefics here in the birth chart also makes a person quite attractive to others, as I had said prior, planets here will have a 7th aspect to the 1st house.

To add, the 6th house is the 12th from the 7th, so it represents a loss or drain of the 7th house’s energy, relationships and partnerships. When someone’s planets fall into this part of your chart, it can lead to challenges in the relationship or cause it to end prematurely. I experienced this with someone. Most of my planets fell into his 6th house, while I had only one in his 7th. He had a few in my 7th too, so the attraction was there but that 6th house energy definitely did its thing. R.I.P. 😔

11th House – This is the house of gain, achievement, and wish fulfillment. After desire is initiated and union is pursued, the 11th shows the outcome. It’s the realization or satisfaction of that desire. It’s the 5th from the 7th, so it can reveal the long-term fruitfulness of a relationship, what’s born from out of that relationship. To add, It’s also the 9th from the 3rd, so this shows how an initial desire, when nurtured and aligned with a higher purpose, leads to lasting fulfillment.

I can see someone’s planets fall in your 11th house, or yours fall in theirs, it could show up as attraction with intention. They will see you as worth investing in, like they’ll actually can see the benefits that you could bring into their life, so you have attraction still but it’s more elevated here. Planets here will also be making a 7th aspect to the 5th (romance), so you can feel romantic with someone as well, different from just desire. Benefics will do very well in this house but remember, look to see if there are any planets falling in the 12th house, since 11th is 12th from the 12th.

Recap: In the Kama Trikona, the 3rd house is where desire takes root, the 7th is where it’s expressed through connection (this can also be the act of sex as well), and the 11th is where it comes to fruition. The 11th is the end result of the harvest from the 3rd and 7th house.

Before this officially comes to an end, I wanted to mention the house that comes after the 11th, which is the 12th house. It’s the house where you exhaust the most energy, which is why it’s known as a house of loss. It’s also the house that signifies the act of sex. It rules the bed and bedroom pleasures, not just sleep, but what commonly happens in bed when there’s intimacy involved….intercourse! I believe 12th also shows what you’re actually doing in the bedroom as well. However, I do believe the 8th house is also connected to sex, but not in the same way as the 12th or 7th houses. The 8th is associated with the sexual organs, so if you want to examine the physical state of those organs, this is the house to look at.
⠀✷⠀ * ⠀✵ ⠀ ˚ . . ✷ · *· .⠀⋆ ·⠀⠀ * . ⠀⠀ · ✷⠀⠀ * ✵ ⠀ ˚ . ⠀. ✷⠀ ˚ . . ✷⠀⠀ * ⠀ ˚ . ⠀⠀.⠀⠀ ˚ . . · * ⋆ · * . ⠀ * ✷ . · ✷⠀⠀ *⠀. ⠀ ˚ . ✷⠀⠀⋆ ·⠀⠀⠀ * .· ✷⠀ * ✵ ⠀ ˚ . .✷⠀ ˚ . . ✷⠀⠀ * ˚ .⠀. ✷⠀ ˚ . · * ⋆ ·⠀⠀ * . ⠀⠀ * ✷ . · ✷⠀⠀ *⠀.
However, the 8th also relates to shared assets, which opposes the 2nd house, our family and personal wealth. Since it follows the 7th house (partnership and union), the 8th represents what comes afterward, where two individuals (1st house) become one through partnership (7th house), resulting in shared, joint assets. That’s why the 8th is also associated with our in-laws, because after marriage (7th), we join into that family as well. That’s why I view sex for the 8th house as contractual or transactional, think of sex work or dowries in ancient marriage customs.

ADDITIONAL NOTE:
According to Astrology Loka, the 3rd is also all forms of sexual contact, as it’s the 7th from the 9th house, which she referred it as the Dharma of marriage. In some cultures, their customs regarding marriage in the Ancient World viewed the act of sex as the means for solidifying the marriage itself. Interestingly, the 3rd is also the 8th to the 8th house.

Most of my potential mates will come from the workplace since the lord of the 7th (1st spouse), 9th (3rd spouse) is in the 6th house (money from work). I’m often asked for my number and flirted with by strangers the most at work, which I’m inherently the most visible. Anyways, between the two spouses, the 3rd spouse seems way more appealing than the 1st spouse. Based on this chart, it looks like we’ll encounter difficulty that will lead to us separating, probably cause of mental turmoil and distress, which I see with that moon-rahu in the 2nd (break from relationship). Which would lead to the 2nd spouse, which I’m not entirely sure would be the best either. They’ll definitely be different from me cause of that Rahu influence and probably give me gains via networks. I still like the 3rd spouse the most though here. However I feel that I’m in the arena of 2nd spouse when I enter any online spaces and they’re probably secretly watching me but that’s probably also my mercury rasi aspect going to me brain lol
Anyways, I’m just thinking out loud. Astro coke vent over

Astro Note #2: Navamsa trine houses

The 1st, 5th, and 9th houses are said to be part of the Navamsa trine houses, which are said to be our skills and abilities. The Navamsa Lagna shows the skills and abilities we have been born with, the innate and natural talents. You shouldn’t struggle with the skills and abilities indicated by the planets in this house. If there’s a problem then birth time could be inaccurate or there’s an affliction but even an affliction shouldn’t be taking away from such skills to such an extent. The 5th house requires practice but you will have the ability to show forth this skill and ability. The 9th house requires a guru (teacher, mentor) to help bring forth this skill and ability and then you’ll have the ability to do it. For example, the Moon is melody and be indicative of singing abilities so, Moon in the 1st house would mean you’ll naturally know how to sing, Moon in the 5th via practice will learn how to sing, Moon in the 9th via a guru will learn how to sing.

The dispositers of the signs the planets are placed in, if placed in the 1st, 5th or 9th can also have the same effect as if the planets itself were placed in there. For example, Ketu in Sagittarius in the 6th house but the lord (Jupiter) is in the 5th house. Ketu gives good skill in mathematics so, a person can still show great skill in mathematics here. However I’m sure debilitation can play a role as well but even then it shouldn’t have that much of a weight over it (still studying though).

That’s the end of this brief note :) To add, if you look into Navamsa trine houses, it’s a great way to rectify the chart as well. That means birth time rectification, which is a skill I recommend to develop if you’re into looking at celebrity or political figures birth charts. There’s other techniques as well…also being friends with a professional astrologer is not for the weak, he literally gagged me to oblivion but it lowkey helped me figure out something. Anyways, here’s an image of lain passing you a phat ahh blunt 💨

Hello this is Magonlia :) This is just the start of a series of brief observations I’ve made. Rather than letting them stay locked away in my notes, never to be seen by the world, I’m making some of them accessible. Enjoy 🫶

I find it interesting that Sagittarius’s arrow point directly at Scorpio’s constellation, specifically the heart of Scorpio, where the star Antares is located (which would be a star associated with Jyestha’s nakshatra). However there are some who claim that the arrow is pointed at the tail rather than the heart. Regardless it’s directed at Scorpio. The constellation for the quiver and arrows are Kaus Media and Kaus Australis (Purva Ashahda), Ascella and Nunki (Uttara Ashahda).

I find Marina Abramović, “rest in energy performance” to oddly parallel the positions of the constellations mentioned above. In this photo, Abramović stands with her arms at her sides, holding a taut bow pointed directly at her chest, specifically at her heart. The arrow is nocked and pulled back tightly by Ulay, who stands facing her, holding the string with precision and tension. This parallel is a striking observation, especially when considering the symbolic resonance between the constellation and the real-life natal placements of Abramović and Ulay. Marina has a Scorpio Sun, while Ulay also has a Scorpio sun with a Scorpio Lagna but his Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius. Marina frequently engages with themes that border on the occult in her work, so it’s possible she was very intentional about their positioning in this performance.

SATURN’S ROLE IN BIRTH
Tumblr media
Hello! This is Magonlia! Good morning, afternoon and evening to all of you. Saturn is an essential player in the birth of creation. It holds a significant role in the overall process of development. You’re probably wondering why that is and well, that’s what I’m here to explain, so get comfortable :)
-ˏˋ. ♄ ˊˎ-
First, Saturn (known as Shani in Vedic) in astrology represents limitations, boundaries, discipline, structure, pressure, preservation, maturity, karmic law, challenges, hurdles, as well the skeletal system, teeth and joints.
˗ˏˋ ⁺ ‧ ₊ ˚ ཐི ⋆ ☥ ⋆ ཋྀ ˚ ₊ ‧ ⁺ ˎˊ˗

Boundaries and limitations are found within structure, alongside pressure, all of which are necessary ingredients in the formation of a human being prior to birth. This structure can also be seen with the skeletal system. Though it’s not the first to develop within the womb, it’s essential to the containment of form and all that comes after it. That’s why I said earlier that Saturn plays an important role in the development of creation’s birth. It represents form before manifestation, existing in the pre-physical stages. Once that form touches the Earth, the process continues on a new level. Just a continuous cycle of refinement.

This idea is beautifully mirrored in the ancient Vedic story of Samudra Manthan, the churning of the cosmic ocean. In this myth, the gods and demons worked together to churn the ocean of milk using a mountain as the rod and Vishnu’s Kurma (turtle) avatar as the base. The churning released both poison and nectar, symbolizing how great treasures of life (lthe nectar of immortality) only emerge through intense pressure, struggle, and balance.
˗. ˏˋ ⁺ ‧ ₊ ˚ ཐི ⋆ ☥ ⋆ ཋྀ ˚ ₊ ‧ ⁺ ˎˊ˗
This is reminiscent of Saturn so much and interestingly, Vishnu’s. avatar, Samudra Manthan, is associated to the planet Saturn. The turtle avatar, slow and steady, anchored the entire operation, just like Saturn’s provides the needed structure as the skeletal system for the body to be held in place. It also symbolizes how pressure and polarity must be endured for refined creation to emerge.

Now If all of this sounds a lot like the womb, you’re absolutely right. It is all happening in the womb: the formation of the body. Interestingly, Binah, the third sephiroth on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, is known as the Womb, and it’s associated with the planet Saturn. Being the third sephiroth also ties it numerologically to creation, as the number 3 represents synthesis, the union of opposites, especially the masculine and feminine. Three is the essence of creation itself. In the Rider-Waite deck, the third Major Arcana card is The Empress, who is often depicted as a pregnant woman seated on a throne.

Saturn can reveal the nature of this formation that took place in the womb and during the gestation process. Just like in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, Binah, as the womb, is associated with Saturn because both give form and structure, just as Binah does to Chokmah (formless energy). As I said prior, the skeletal system which is also associated to Saturn is essential to the containment of form, starting in the womb. This relates to how you were “shaped” in the literal womb. The ascendant shows the end result, as it represents the moment of birth.

Saturn’s exaltation in Libra reflects perfect formation. Its ruler, Venus, at its core signifies harmony, as shown in its glyph: a circle above a cross, symbolizing how it harmonizes the soul with the physical world. Ultimately, Saturn’s urge to structure finds balance and equilibrium in Libra.

WHY THE EGO ISN’T SATURNIAN
Tumblr media
Hello, this is Magonlia 💜 The inspiration for today’s post comes from a comment under one of my earlier posts that questioned the common association of the Sun with the ego. The commenter proposed a different planetary connection than the one I had originally leaned toward, suggesting Saturn instead. While I didn’t necessarily agree, it did prompt me to explore their perspective more deeply. In the end, I found myself returning to my original view, but the reflection it sparked was genuinely valuable to me so thanks for that.
• • • • • • •
Tumblr media
• • • • • • •
The ego is a part of the mind, and according to psychologist Jung, the ego resides at the center of consciousness. Where consciousness lives is where our awareness resides. Though Jung said the ego resides at the center of consciousness, he did not claim it encompassed the entire mind. Still, the ego plays a crucial role, it stands at the junction between the inner and outer worlds, acting as a bridge. Similarly, Yesod serves as a bridge between the higher and lower realms. It gathers and synthesizes the energies of the higher sephiroth, acting as a channel through which they are distributed to Malkuth, where they manifest in the physical world instead of remaining as abstract constructs.
• • • • • • •
Just as Yesod functions as a bridge between realms, the Moon, linked to Yesod and representing the mind, it acts as a channel for outer influences in our physical world. These influences are funneled, processed, synthesized, and distributed through the body, which serves as a vehicle we use to interact with the world directly. This makes the Moon receptive in a passive sense. However, its dynamic quality lies in its ability to transmit those influences forward. Although the male phallus (as the male generative force) is symbolically tied to Yesod, there is also a distinctly feminine quality in its function (associated to the sexual organs in general, so male as well as female). It receives energies from above, like a funnel, to be transformed and passed into material form.
• • • • • • •
Now, since it’s the ego that mediates between the id and the superego in relation to reality, the question arises: which planetary energies correspond to the id and the superego? Yesod is associated with the Moon, and although it functions as a channel for all the sephiroth on the Tree of Life, it particularly harmonizes the energies of its neighboring spheres, Hod and Netzach. The planet associated with Hod is Mercury, and for Netzach, it is Venus. I will touch on Hod (Mercury), and Netzach (Venus), later on the road in connection to Yesod (Moon).
• • • • • • •
Tumblr media
• • • • • • •
The Moon, which is linked to Yesod, really shows us what it means to be responsive without falling apart. It’s connected to water, and what’s interesting is that while water can dissolve other things, it doesn’t dissolve itself, it stays intact. That says a lot. The Moon, like water, is fluid, adaptable, and reflects what’s around it. It changes, but it doesn’t lose itself. The ego kind of works the same way. It doesn’t disappear when it’s pressured or challenged, it adjusts, accommodates, and reflects what’s coming in from the outside world.
• • • • • • •
Just like Yesod harmonizes the energies it receives from the higher spheres, especially those opposing forces from Hod, which is all about thought and logic, and Netzach, which is more about emotion and desire. The ego takes what it’s getting from the id and the superego and finds a way to balance it. It doesn’t get pulled completely to one side or the other. It holds it all, works with it, and keeps it moving forward.
• • • • • • •
Tumblr media
• • • • • • •
According to Freud, the ego begins to form shortly after birth, during the early stages of an infant’s development. Initially, the child is dominated by the id, seeking immediate gratification. However, as the child interacts with the external world, primarily caregivers, it learns to delay gratification and navigate reality. This process of “reality testing” itself leads to the formation of the ego, which mediates between the primal desires of the id and the constraints of the external world, helping the child adapt and function within society. While I can see how Saturn can play a significant role in shaping external limitations, it is not the ego but rather one of many external forces that also influences the ego’s development. As the child matures, the ego continues evolve and adapt in relation to the world around it.
• • • • • • •
Tumblr media
• • • • • • •
Now while the Moon has functions similar to the Ego , I can see how one might initially see Saturn as a candidate for the Ego, especially given its role in shaping reality. Saturn’s association with Binah on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life links it to the principle of understanding and structure. Binah represents the cosmic womb (similar to Yesod, difference is that Yesod symbolizes the male phallus as well. Interestingly the moon is represented by a male god in the Vedic system) that takes raw energy and gives it form. This process is about containment and limitation, forming boundaries and structures for energy to take shape. To best describe Binah, It’s form prior to it reaching Malkuth. Saturn in astrology has a similar role, as it governs boundaries, discipline, and aspects of the material world, working to create order and structure from chaos. However, these qualities while vital to the structure of reality, are not central to the ego’s functions.
• • • • • • •
Tumblr media
• • • • • • •
The ego, as described by Freud and Jung, is fluid and responsive, constantly adapting and adjusting to experiences. It is the center of consciousness, responsible for meditating between the id and the superego, navigating reality and responding to external stimuli. The ego is not rigid but it continuously shifts, adapts, and evolves as it integrates new experiences and adjusts to external circumstances while also acting as a mediator to the id and superego in relation to reality. This flexibility and adaptability are central to its role in the mind. Saturn’s influence, on the other hand, is about structure, limitation, creating boundaries, even refinement but not about meditating or adapting. Interestingly enough, Jung’s model of the psyche resembles Yesod’s place on the tree of life, above Malkuth!
Tumblr media
• • • • • • •
In conclusion though, Saturn, through its connection to Binah, operates on the level of structure and limitation, which is necessary for grounding and creating form, but doesn’t equate to the ego. The ego is more like the adaptive principle that responds to reality, while Saturn’s influences imposing structure and boundaries, not adapting to change. Thus….Saturn, although integral in the formation of reality and structure, does not embody the ego because it lacks fluidity and responsiveness central to the ego’s role in the mind (Moon). Again, it is more about limiting and structuring whereas the ego is about navigating and adapting.

That’s it for now. This reflection helped clarify some lingering thoughts I had about the Moon. I haven’t ruled out the Ascendant’s importance. It still feels significant, but I’m seeing its role differently now and will probably explore it in another post later on the road as well. My views may keep evolving, but for now, this one feels solid. Um…well anyways here’s a photo of a flushed Shinji 😳

I’ve come to realize that occult knowledge has a way of concealing itself. Even if it’s simplified to a degree to where it’s digestible, there will be a blockage (which has to do more with the moon, mercury and Jupiter in someone’s ability to absorb and process information). However this makes perfect sense through the lens of astrology. The natural Karaka of the eighth house, which governs occult and hidden knowledge, is Saturn, a planet that imposes limitations, discipline and delays but also quite transformational in itself. As a result though, this house naturally resist easy access. It requires shedding and an entirely different lens when approaching its subjects.
I’m still learning and attempting to understand myself as a student of its mysteries.
I get so discouraged sometimes and wonder what is the point of posting my thoughts
Astrology accounts with posts that have dumb reasoning but look pretty or correct still get people who hang on their every word btw and this is your sign to not give up on posting even if the sheer stupitidy of most on here is driving you insane 🤍
Those accounts think they're correct btw
Still, grateful to have a following

THE MOON: A VESSEL FOR PROJECTIONS
Tumblr media
Hello! This is Magnolia :)
╭┈┈┈┈╮
The word ‘projection’ derives from the Latin word proicere, which meant to stretch out, throw forth, hold in front, fling away, or drive out. Now, the definition of projection from a psychological perspective: According to the Oxford Languages Dictionary, projection is the unconscious transfer of one’s own desires or emotions onto another person.
╰┈┈┈┈╯
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Tumblr media
To sum it up, projecting (either physically or psychologically) requires one to direct and exert force outward. This is complete opposite to the Moon, as the Moon receives light from the Sun in order to reflect it outwardly. It does not merely project light on its own so in turn it cannot be a force that naturally projects but the vessel which receives these projections.

This sentiment is also reflected in the Moon’s alchemic metal, silver, which is known for its exceptional ability to reflect light, more effectively than any other metal, reflecting up to 95% of light that strikes its surface. Interestingly enough Silver has historically been used as a coating in mirrors because it is one of the most reflective metals, as mentioned being capable of reflecting up to 95% of visible light.

A mirror reflects what is in front of it, or whatever is in its surrounding environment, depending on the size of the mirror. It perfectly captures the impressions projected onto it and reflects them back to the person who projected them. However, to be in a state to receive such impressions, one must be receptive. The Moon is a receptive planet, just as it is associated with the mind, which is also highly receptive.

Interestingly, the Moon is the natural karaka (significator) of the 4th house, which governs early childhood, the home environment, and the experiences that shape our early emotional development. Children, much like the Moon, are highly receptive, absorbing the light and energies of the people and environment around them. Parents, particularly the mother, serve as the first and most significant sources of this ‘light,’ shaping the child’s perception of the external world.

Hello again! Just an interception here lol I just wanted to share that this particular paragraph (the 6th) has been edited. I just came to an awesome realization that really connected the dots for me. I tried to make it sound as understandable as possible here ahhh
· · ── ·𖥸· ── · ·
It reminds me of Yesod’s role in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, it’s the channel that funnels and projects energy from the higher sephiroth into Malkuth, the physical world. Unlike Binah, the form-giver that shapes raw energy from Chokmah, Yesod acts more like a mirror-portal. It doesn’t generate energy on its own; it receives, filters, and then directs what it’s been given. Since the Moon is associated with Yesod, it functions in a similar way. It isn’t just passively receiving, it’s actively channeling and reflecting what it absorbs. That makes its receptivity dynamic.
· · ── ·𖥸· ── · ·
Think of it like this: if the Moon is the mind (Yesod), and the body is Malkuth, then whatever the Moon takes in, such as beliefs, moods, behaviors, gets filtered through the psyche and eventually manifests through the physical form. However as I said prior to this edit, I will touch on this more and how the Moon acts as a conduit later on (down the road).

Now, returning to the point at hand, just like a mirror reflects whatever is projected onto it, children also reflect the energies they have been exposed to. These early impressions, formed in the home environment, can reveal the influences that the child has absorbed, whether positive or negative. The child becomes a mirror for the energies, moods, and attitudes of those around them, carrying these imprints as they grow.
This also has been a reason to why I firmly believe that Moon is rightfully associated with the Ego (the ascendant also has it’s own role in this) and also the formation of our personality rather than the Sun: https://www.tumblr.com/teepeejr/778296553212395520/the-sun-is-not-the-significator-of-the-ego-so-who

This leads me to also consider the 5th house, which governs creativity and children. Beyond creative expression, I believe that the 5th house can provide insight into a child’s home life and the way they are treated, as a child is a vessel (just as the Moon) that’s reflecting the influences around them. Look at the drawings of children, it will reveal a lot!

If you’re still wondering how all of this demonstrates that the Moon serves as a vessel for projections, consider this: the Moon operates much like a mirror. Its entire essence is rooted in reflection, rather than emission. When it does emit it acts as a portal. Due to its receptive nature, the Moon is open to external projections, much like a mirror reflects whatever is placed before it. However, due to its elusive quality, the Moon rarely reveals its true nature, which is what makes it not as easy to decipher as it seems. While the Moon is powerful in it’s own right, its inherent nature of reflection cannot be overlooked.

THE 12TH HOUSE 🤝 MALADAPTIVE DAYDREAMING
Tumblr media
Hello, this is Magnolia once again :)
By definition (though it is has not been recognized as a formal mental disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders at this time) Maladaptive daydreaming is when intense daydreams interfere with daily life and responsibilities due to being so immersed into them. The act of daydreaming is not necessarily a negative activity but when done in excess then it becomes detrimental.
Tumblr media
Daydreaming and fantasizing fall under the 12th house since it rules the subconscious, imagination, and the space where boundaries between reality and the unseen blur. It is essentially an activity that activates the 12th house. It also represents the astral plane, the realm we exist in before entering the material world through the 1st house, our physical body.
Tumblr media
When you’re in the astral realm, the cares of the physical world vanish, as well as the physical body, since it’s just a vessel we use to interact with the physical world on a face-to-face basis. In the astral realm, you have an astral body, which differs greatly from the physical body. It doesn’t need food or water to sustain itself like the physical body does. It’s interesting that when someone falls into excessive daydreaming, they often forget to eat, drink, and neglect the physical body’s needs because they become too focused on occupying the astral body.
Tumblr media
Time in the astral plane doesn’t function the same way as it does in the physical world. A single day in the spirit realm could feel like a thousand years in the physical world. When you engage in deep daydreaming or fantasizing, you tap into this altered perception of time, which is why it often feels like time speeds up or disappears entirely. You’re no longer anchored to the physical world’s structure of time and space, which can make excessive daydreaming feel all-consuming and difficult to break out of. Though the 12th house is one of escape, it is also imprisonment.
Tumblr media
The 12th house represents the dissolution of boundaries, it’s easy to get lost in its influence, whether through dreams, fantasies, or other forms of escapism. While this can be a source of comfort and relief as a coping mechanism, it can also lead to detachment from reality if there’s no balance. That’s why grounding activities are important, especially if you find yourself constantly drifting into 12th house energy.
Tumblr media
Come back to earth, come back to reality. Don’t neglect the physical body cause in turn you are neglecting the 1st house cause the 1st house is the physical vessel which we use to interact with this world. We’re not meant to neglect it. We must use it, there’s a purpose for us in these bodies of ours.
Tumblr media
That’s the end of this Ted talk. Thank you for stopping by and being interested in what I share on here. I’m still actively learning with time as well. Anyways, here’s a photo of Rei perceiving herself :)

It being within a sign that involves an insect could answer that question. According to Barbara Pijan as well, she associates Scorpio with bees, a swarm of bees and wasp as well. In the film Candyman, Tony Todd, who has a Scorpio sun and mercury plays the infamous character Candyman, who’s well-known for his power to control a swarm of bees. There’s also another film called Phenomena’ that has Jennifer Connelly (Scorpio sun) who communicates with insects and a swarm of bugs. (which someone had brought to my attention on twitter). This sign just seems to have an affinity with insects in general.
For Anuradha, the symbolism of spiders and, essentially, the spider-web connection could possibly represent the act of binding someone to you. Before entering Jyestha’s nakshatra, which YouTuber Claire Nakti mentioned revolves around the individualization of a person, often involving separation and loneliness; Anuradha has the ability to form many friendships and connections. These connections also tend to be strong, to the point where it feels like you’ve fallen into a spider’s web (inescapable). Hopefully, that made sense lol. I’m actively learning myself as well with time.
Madame Web has Anuradha thrown in my face in every corner but I don't understand the film. At all.
Someone explain in astrological terms. What is the deal with this nakshatra and spider-related superheroes?
Edit: This movie sucks I'm not gonna make it.

THE SUN IS NOT THE SIGNIFICATOR OF THE EGO… SO WHO IS?
Tumblr media
Hello, this is Magonila. I’m on tumblr now :)
The Sun seems to have been the planet that our community would often attach the ego to and I understand on why it would seem like the obvious choice when assigning the ego to a planetary energy. The ego is the self, just as the Sun is also the self but there’s a difference in what the self means for the Sun and the Ego. For the Ego, it is the sense of self as it interacts with and responds to the external world. For the Sun, it is the self that’s unchangeable. I’ll explain further….I’m trying to understand this in real time as well, a recent revelation if you will so let’s walk, not run here.
Tumblr media
In alchemy, each of the seven celestial planets is associated with a specific metal, a connection often reflected in various branches of astrology. Here is a list of the planets and their corresponding metals:
• Sun ☉ → Gold (☉)
• Moon ☽ → Silver (☽)
• Mercury ☿ → Mercury/Quicksilver (☿)
• Venus ♀ → Copper (♀)
• Mars ♂ → Iron (♂)
• Jupiter ♃ → Tin (♃)
• Saturn ♄ → Lead (♄)
The focus here is on Sun so as you can see, gold is the metal that is associated to the Sun. Gold itself is a metal that‘s highly resistant to corrosion, neither does it need to be purified because it is at a pure state of being, making it perfection. In the Great Works, the end goal is to reach gold so the starting metal in this scheme happens to be lead, acting as the base which has association to the physical, particularly it’s more unfavorable energies, so it requires to be purified. Just as all the other planetary energies in this line up.
Tumblr media
Gold is essentially the soul, as the soul is our purest state of being. The Sun is also the Karkra of the soul in Vedic Astrology, which would align with Gold’s associations as well with soul so that would in fact make the Sun represent the deeper essence of who we are that cannot be altered or influenced by external forces.
Tumblr media
This can be seen in the Sun’s glyph with the point in the center of the circle. It means that the Sun is the source of it’s own energy and that energy reflects outwardly, shining it’s rays in multiple directions. This differs from the Moon that also reflects light but from light casted onto it. Speaking of the Moon…
Tumblr media
The Moon is susceptible to manipulation due to its receptive nature, making it prone to influence from external forces. Just as the Moon reflects the light cast onto it, it also mirrors the influences that leave an impression on it, incorporating them into its expression. This differs from the Sun, which can also reflect light but is itself the source of that light. In turn, this suggests that the Moon, rather than the Sun, represents the ego.
Tumblr media
The ego is our sense of self as it interacts with and responds to the external world, essentially mediating between the inner and outer realities. Interestingly enough, In Kabbalah, Yesod’s is the bridge where the physical and spiritual converge. The planetary association to Yesod is in fact the Moon, and it is the area on the Tree of life that’s associated to the Ego. Though I do believe the ascendant also has a role as the ego as well as it is directly dealing with reality on a face to face level and the ego based on how Freud describes is basically the self as it operates on the physical plane.
Tumblr media
To add on, the Moon would reveal how the experiences from our engagement of the world shapes our personality since the ego is associated to the moon, as the ego is the source of the personality. The ego, which is our sense of self in relation to the external world, is directly shaped by our perception of ourselves, our personality emerges from how we see ourselves. In other words, the ego forms as we interact with the world, and our self-image is built. This is an area I’m still looking into though.
Tumblr media
That’s all I have to say, so the answer is Moon but it could be ascendant as well but I’m leaning towards the Moon a little more between the two at the moment. Thanks for listening to one of my Ted talk on tumblr. Here’s a photo of Shinji bending it over for a real one :)
