You’re completely right. Like them not kissing says SO much more and makes it hurt all the more. The fact that they want to but won’t is just twisting the knife. And, yeah, the interviews were way later. And Daisy and Billy didn’t end up together. And Camilla and Daisy’s relationship mending at the end was the resolution, not the idea that “Oh, it’s a tragic love story where Billy and Daisy deserve each other and in the end they’re finally able to love each other at full capacity” like, no. They are very clearly symbolic of addiction, temptation, and a reflection of themselves. Just like the drugs, they never wanted each other. They just wanted an easy way out.
I will never get over the novel version of Daisy Jones & The Six. I think it’s honestly worse how Billy and Daisy don’t even TOUCH in the book. Not even one small kiss. But they want to. They don’t, and they do come close, but it never happens.
The emotional affair is worse. It’s worse because they want each other and Camilla just has to watch. But no, she can’t be mad: they haven’t done anything. They haven’t done anything. They’re addicted to each other, and they represent the struggle of it for the other.

So I played as a starter on a d3 or D2 varsity soccer as a freshman, and one time in a game this girl ran into me as I did a header and my coach wouldn’t take me out of the game even though I had a concussion. Miss those days

I was genuinely crashing out at work the other day and had to walk into our freezer room to just silently scream and like allow my face to contort. Walked out like: 😆 as if my coworker didn’t open the door on me a split second after being delusional in the goddamn freezer

Someone should send in more Yellowjackets requests… 🫣🥴
Lottie x reader where instead of Lottie getting beat up by Shauna, the reader gets beat up. And then Lottie gets really clingy
The Wild
Lottie x fem!reader (currently unnamed) but I was thinking of turning this into a series, possibly having reader take on a prominent role within the group after this and exploring her and Lottie’s relationship.
Warnings: Shauna beating the shit out of you, Lottie’s wilderness yabadabadoo, reader isblowkey depresses and hopeless

𖢠✈︎𖠋༒
“You’re all fucking insane!” Shauna shouted, her eyes wide, with pupils dialated. Her voice broke as she yelled, her vocal cords raspy with rage and frustration. She’d been out for two days, the trauma of the birth weighing on her now weak body. Several of the girls had tried to calm her, but she’d only pushed them away. Shauna clawed at Nat, who hissed in response, releasing her hands from Shauna.
“Fuck!” Nat cursed, holding her arm.
“What the fuck is she on?” One of the girl murmured from the corner. You shot them a look, warning them to stop.
“Knock it off Mari,” Van spoke quietly as to not anger Shauna further. Mari shut up, scooting closer to Melissa in the corner.
Lottie took a step forward, holding her hand out to Shauna, in an attempt to tame the girl across from her. “Shauna, you need to calm down, okay? You gave birth, your body can’t handle—”
“Fuck you, Lottie. You’re insane. All of you are insane!”
“That’s good, Shauna. That’s good, let it out,” Lottie encouraged, nodding her head.
A wave of unease settled on you, your gut sinking. You felt as if you could throw up right then and there. You looked at Lottie, silently pleading her to drop it. She caught your eye, and you shot her a look— don’t poke the fucking bear Lottie.
She turned away, looking back to Shauna. Shauna’s face contorted to anger, pulling her fist back before slugging Lottie on her left cheek. The sound of bones and flesh colliding filled the room, multiple girls gasping at Shauna’s animalistic reaction.
Van lunged towards Shauna, pulling her back. Shauna turned her head, biting Van on her hand. Shauna got up, looking Lottie dead in the eye.
“Agh! She fucking bit me!” Van hissed, drawing her hand back in pain. Taissa ran to her aid, helping her up. The room had split, half of the girls gathering behind Van, and the others behind you and Lottie to watch.
“It’s okay Shauna… let it out.”
Shauna let out a war cry as she leaped to attack Lottie.
“Hey!” You intervened, stepping between Shauna and Lottie. “What the fuck has gotten into you two? Into all of you? You’re just going to let Shauna hit her? You’re all just— just going to stand around and watch like… like fucking animals? That’s bullshit!” Nobody spoke, silence enveloping the room in a familiar grasp. Shauna said nothing, her nostrils flaring as she listened to you.
You scoffed, shaking your head at the others. You turned to Lottie, looking her in the eyes. “Punishing yourself for what happened to Shauna won’t make it better… you don’t need to pay the price.”
“Someone does.” She whispered.
You sucked on your cheeks, biting until you tasted iron. “Fine.” You turned to Shauna, the group’s eyes on you. “Hit me.” Some of the girls exchanged glances, debating if your act was heroic or suicidal. The sight was almost poetic: Shauna on one side, Lottie on the other. You could tell they thought you were crazy. “You can’t just take it out on all of us, Shauna. You have to let it. Come on, hit me.”
Taissa shook her head in disbelief, rubbing her temples. “She’s not gonna—”
Shauna’s arm slung towards you, her knuckles hitting the corner of your jaw. She stood still, the silence echoing. It was quiet, the girls watching Shauna. You closed your eyes, tensing your jaw to ease the pain. Shauna hesitated for a second before kicking you in the gut, causing you to hunch over in pain. You gasped in pain, holding your stomach. She shoved you pack, your position causing you to fall over.
Everyone watched in horror as she kicked you, hitting your body relentlessly. She slammed her fists down, bruising your body rapidly. Hit after hit, bruise after cut. You let out a groan, your hands grasping for something to cling on to. She screamed, pulling at your clothes and slamming you back onto the cabin’s floors. You closed your eyes, your body begging you to fight back.
Voices echoed throughout the room, ringing through your head. You closed your eyes, the image of home flooding your vision. The punches stopped, and the pain fled your body, a cool feeling prickling at your skin. For the first time in months, when you opened your eyes, home was still there.
“Mom?” You whispered. She leaned forward, pressing a hand to your face. You closed your eyes, smiling at the touch. You were at peace, putting your hand on top of hers in a state of pure bliss. Freedom. She stood up, walking away from you. Your brows furrowed, watching her walk away. “Mom?” You went to move your arm, but it was frozen in its spot. “Mom! Mom!” You yelled, reaching towards her. “Mom!” You shouted.
As you lunged forward, reaching out to stop her, but in front of you was the wall of the cabin attic. You were breathing heavily, watching the wall. A sharp pain in your back and bruises on your body welcomed you back. Your head still hang, and your moment of peace was gone. Your face fell at the familiar sight. You turned to your right, seeing the gentle snow fall outside the window. You let out a choked sob, the hope escaping your body like an exhalation of breath. You looked down, your legs littered with purple and yellow bruises. You leaned forward, poking one gently. You had to make sure you weren’t dreaming. You hissed at the pain, pulling your feet back.
“You’re awake,” you heard from across the attic. Lottie. She stood in the door frame, watching you. Her hand dropped from the frame, falling alongside her body in a wave like motion. In her other hand was a bucket, a sponge soaking inside. She knelt down beside you, resting her hand on your knee. She closed her eyes, letting out a gentle hum. “You’ll be okay.”
She gently pulled your blanket back, encouraging you to rid yourself of excessive layers.
You had no reason to believe her words, but her eyes beckoned you in, wrapping around you like the surrounding wilderness. “How… long was I gone?” You asked. Gone felt like the appropriate word. You hadn’t escaped or left, or simply rested your body; you had simply gone. And now you were back.
She squeezed the sponge, wringing the excess liquid out into the bucket below. She gently lifted your arm, rubbing the cool water over your skin. You shivered, and she gently cooed you, continuing to rinse away the sweat that had clung to your body during the night.
“Three days,” she whispered, rubbing the sponge along your back. It no longer ached. “They thought you wouldn’t make it, but... I told them you would,” she laughed happily, a proud smile on her face. “I told them the wilderness was in you. You’re a healer— you healed Shauna,” she smiled.
Your brows furrowed, your head shaking. The ends of your hair clung to the wetness of your body.
“Look at you,” she encouraged gently, scooting the bucket towards you.
You allowed the water to settle as you peered down, watching as your face settled in the pool of water. Not a scratch on your face. You looked back at Lottie, your eyes staying true to what you were feeling. By the hits Shauna had landed, your face should’ve been mutilated.
“It’s in you,” she spoke suddenly. You looked up, your eyes meeting across the bucket. “The wilderness. You have the wild.”
You didn’t have a goddamn thing.
