Oh absolutely. I was laughing last night purely at how bizarre the character reading of him was. Like wdm ‘Hannibal enjoyed things, Will was just there’?! It’s the same as people insisting that Hannibal is a clinical psychopath ‘because they say he is in the show’. Like clearly you don’t know shit about the condition you think your blorbo has, or have to completely reshape them to fit the warped idea of what you think they should be like. Tbh, this characterisation of Will lines up more with (bad) depictions of psychopathy, which, like, is weird pared with the whole ‘Hannibal is also presented as autistic’ thing.

I stopped scrolling tumblr as much for a few days and like… what happened here? Since when is Will Graham incapable of friendship?! Since when is Will Graham an ‘alien’?! The sentence ‘Saying he cared about his dogs gives immature, superficial, media illiterate’ is written into my brain now, I honestly laughed so hard when I read it, and it is now filed in my brain alongside the three weed smoking girlfriends post. About his dogs? If that man didn’t care about his dogs then why did he utter the sentence ‘I miss my dogs I won’t miss you’? Why did he cook for his dogs? Why did he catch strays and take them home? Why was one of the only times he looked happy in the entire show was when he got home to his dogs after prison? I guess we’ll never know.
