Built Rodimus as my model kit for the month of March!

Assembling him went pretty smoothly, most of the pieces fit well into each other and the instructions were clear.

Pieces that were a bit harder to fit were the pipes on his lower legs, I think they need to be inserted at a slight angle perhaps?

The pieces where the arms and legs attach were also quite tight which made me worry about breaking the more delicate elements while trying to pop them in. The joints are also quite firm.

Personally I prefer the way the legs attach on the Magnus model better since it feels more secure but I get that this is the way they did it to accentuate Rodimus’ more slender design.

I recommend glue for the decorative pieces below his knees and his lower body since it keeps separating when trying to pose (on my copy at least). And the way it is constructed is a bit annoying to re-assemble (a ring shaped piece goes on first, then slide in the backside of the lower body and add the front- more tricky when there is legs involved).

But for the rest he feels quite sturdy and looks stunning!

I've noticed that Magnus touches Roddy's shoulder quite often I think it's cute (although why did he do this when he tried to be undercover lol😭 focus, Minimus)

Managed to get a nice deal on a few of these, I’m hoping to put in another order when I have time off from work so I can actually go pick them up.

Met up with a friend today who showed me this dessert stand that I somehow never noticed, I guess I was too locked in on my previous outings😔

Brought home a rosewater cupcake and it did not disappoint! Nicely scented, pink on the inside, not too dry and with tasty toppings that complement the flavour- the rose scent did linger a bit even after it was gone- I think I’ll try red velvet next when we hang out again

I took Magnus out to go see Sonic 3 while it’s still in theatres :)

Incredible movie! So many different little elements and so much to say, I loved it! I love how they keep making these without sacrificing the quality, truly a labour of love. I’m not going to go into detail here because I think people should get to experience this for themselves spoiler free. But I will point out the incredibly fun soundtrack!

Just a little unfortunate that the cut scenes weren’t included in the final version since they add extra context, but at least they are easy to find online

Last one before starting my low buy month! Another epic vinted find

I spent quite a bit on my collection this month while also earning less than I estimated, to remedy this and be able to save more money for tuition I will be implementing a low buy month.

I will still be posting, just about things that are already in my collection :)

Got recommended this one in a discord server I’m in and my curiosity made me order a copy right away!

As a warm up I listened to the prequel(?) short story before diving in.

I was told the writing style might not be for everyone but I think it fits the main character well so I wasn’t really bothered by it in any way. Started it for my one hour reading goal but ended up liking it so much I just read the whole thing -

I’m excited to read the rest of the series but that will have to wait until next month’s pay 😔
