ok, mini update!!

i'm planning on taking july off from posting new art! i've not rly had a proper break in well over a yr so i wanna just have a month of not having to stress about keeping up with an upload schedule for a wee bit! i'll still be online, of course (always pfft), and my commissions are still open & in general i will still probs be doing art, just not gonna be posting it lol!

My mum bought these beautiful old post cards the other day and one from a grandmother to her granddaughter in 1920's America really stood out to me

Her message was:

'My very own French Doll - I thank you very much for all those fine huggs and kisses also for the sample of your hair but don't cut any more only for the auntys that can't see you. Good bye untill you come down - Grandma'

Thinking about that little girl from nearly 100 years ago receiving a Thanksgiving postcard from her grandma made me emotional so I wanted to create some sort of art inspired by it...

Miss May and her grandmother might be long dead now, but one thing I love about being an artist is that I can breathe new life into someone's story so their memory can last forever <3
