College is horrible so now that the semesters over it’s time to rewatch tua which means it’s time for me to once again be pissed about how they literally have five the ability to rewind time and that fully doesn’t come up again. Tua s4 was so poorly written I’ve completely abandoned it for a few weeks and have just been binge watching gravity falls because let me tell you that’s the way you end a show

Post s4 rewatch and I liked it better the 2nd time!!! Not by much but I don’t think it was as bad. Certain parts I still hate but at least I feel slightly more positive about this season

Another great example of poor writing and not understanding your own characters is five’s entire lack of response to the apocalypse. Twice. Not just an apocalypse no, his apocalypse. No reaction at all. And I know the writers really don’t acknowledge his trauma at any point in the show but that was the most direct fuck you they could have done to his character.

They made a genuinely complex and driven character into nothing. As if he’s never had a problem, his motives are just nonexistent, and the last 3 seasons meant nothing apparently.

At some point it’s just bad writing and that’s what this is

Why’d the writers be so inconsistent with what marigold did to them

Luther - very basic, he gained his super strength back. Dont know why he became part chimp again?

Diego - returned to basically his exact old power

Allison - got a pretty drastic power upgrade all around

Klaus - same powers but he can levitate/float now (a win for those of us who also enjoy the comics)

Five - dude got nerfed. Every time he blinks he just goes to that subway station. However he apparently now can accurately time travel with zero practice?

Ben - no difference

Viktor - pretty similar but looks to be stronger now

Lila - still has her mirroring power but also has lazed eyes (why)

Guys was five 72 years old at the end.

He was 58 seasons 1-3. But time passes into season 4. There’s roughly a 6.5 year time skip (it was April and now is roughly November or December) meaning it’s passed everyone’s birthdays. Now he’s 59. Add the other 6 years in and now he’s. 65. THEN there’s the Lila five train bs that’s 6 years 5 months blah blah blah putting five at 71 when he finds the notebook on how to get home. And then at their little dinner or whatever he says he’s had it for 5/6 months. Dude is 72 years old man was done with it

Electing to completely ignore the random five/lila plot bc I feel like it didn’t play THAT MUCH of a role in the show meaning I can ignore it. It was honestly so random and if you remove it very little changes so it was just a mass hysteria guys it’s okay the ending doesn’t change so whatever want to happened happened!
