Had I known the metaphorical eject button from this whole clusterfuck was a compromising of the bullets I would’ve done so long ago- but hindsight, and all that.” Where the other man seemed confident, Eugene was anything but. He’d learned not to trust the deceptive lulls in between hell. “One can only hope it lasts. As for me, I’ll be keeping my guard up. Precedence shows it’s only a matter of time before the shit royally hits the fan again.”
