I... As another being who has a soul within them, have something I must tell you all.

I was... I was born a serf. Of seven siblings, I was the third born.

My brother broke his arm in the fields, grew weaker, and was left to die. One night, the land owner summoned my sister, and she never returned. On a clear winter morning, my youngest brother turned cold, and never again woke. Another sibling caught smallpox. There was nothing I could do. The only ones to survive, were me and my sister.

And then, we were given a chance while we were on the run.

It always seemed like it was fate, but I was always troubled by something. For such a long time... Fate was warm and kind to me...

"Don't worry, I'll take care of things."

But, everyone... All you nobles! All you soldiers! All you pioneers! And...all you serfs! A cannot accept it, in spite of all the kindness I've been shown. It is because of that kindness that I cannot accept it.

With her miracles, the Light Spirit brought humanity to life. Through the earth's blessings, she brought us wealth. And with the fragments of her soul, she brought us freedom!

The freedom to do better than you currently do. The freedom to be better than you currently are. We were not created by the Spirit as perfect beings. She gave us the freedom to strive every day little by little to better ourselves. Because that brings us joy.

So don't relinquish that freedom just to make things easier. The Spirit's gifts are holy treasures! Not even the King, nor the church, can take those treasures away from you!

I will not! I am human. I will never again surrender those treasures!

No matter how much pain I have to suffer for them, I won't go back to stumbling in the dark...because I was given light! Because I was given kindness.

Throw them if you wish! Perhaps you must, to protect yourself and your family in this cold world. I will not blame you for that. As humans, you've the freedom to make that choice. I will shed blood in equal measure to that which is flowing in your heart!

But if you would stone me for no other reason than the order of another,

One with no will of their own, taking the precious gifts granted to them by the Spirit and giving them to another, is a mindless insect! No matter how much peace it might bring you, anyone who abandons those treasures makes themselves an insect.
