It’s unbelievable that there’s a long ass meta (and probably more) in Emilia’s tag about how ~wrong~ she is to have said a few comments re: Danys ending and about Jon. Some of which she obviously wasn’t serious with (that Jon doesn’t like women… I mean c’mon. Though that’s debatable with D&D)

I’m just flabbergasted that people find her comments more problematic than the storyline and it’s messages itself. And that they’re taking issue with her not seeing Daenerys as Hitler all along, and because she isn’t going back to the moment when Daenerys watched her abusive brother die, and seeing a hint of madness in her reaction. Or because she thinks that characters didn’t help her character. (they fucking didn’t.)

So to all those shitting on Emilia because she didn’t like her storyline.. go fuck yourself.

I can’t believe I have to say this but here I go…

Emilia Clarke can say whatever she wants about the character she has been portraying for almost a decade. She had to make a personal connection with Daenerys to do her job, and the character has helped her through some rough times.

She knows that character better than the people writing the show. Those are the same people who claimed to have read the books and then thought it was within Daenerys character to stand and do nothing as wrights kill Jorah (even after ADWD but this is whole other rant I won’t get into).

Usually, I see fans get upset when actors trash other characters but GOT fandom is different it seems. This fandom gets mad when an actor attempts to provide an explanation (because the writers failed to provide a cause) for their character’s actions.

But really, it’s none of your business if Emilia stands by Dany especially if you aren’t a fan of either. It cost you nothing to stay in your lane and frankly, it is pathetic.
