How To Get Rid Of Love Handles
You cannot lose fat from one specific area of your body, but losing weight in general can reduce your overall body fat levels.
Change what you eat and how much you eat.
Reduce your food portion size.
Cut out fried and process food.
Stop drink fizzy drinks and alcohol (especially beer)
Cut out foods high in sugar - these are stored around the stomach area.
Reduce foods rich in carbs - pastries, potatoes, etc.
Replace fatty meats - sausages, bacon, etc. - with lean meats like chicken or fish.
Increase water consumption.
EXERCISE.
Cardio.
Cardio is extremely important in losing fat. Things like running, jogging, walking.
Do about 30 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week.
Adding things like sprints in your workout routine helps burn fat faster.

Trying To Lose Weight When Your Parents Keep Cooking Unhealthy
Whether you're just trying to get in shape or shed a bit of unnecessary fat, it's always important to change your diet.
When you can't change your diet because you're too embarrassed to tell your family that you're trying to lose weight
or
your parents just won't understand
or
change what they cook just for you
Etc.
TIPS.
Don't eat a full plate of food.
Dish up only a bit and eat only that.
Don't go back for seconds.
Drink water with your meals.
Because you're eating unhealthy, you need to exercise more.
Simply put: you lose weight when the amount of calories you burn are more than the amount of calories you consume.
Drink water throughout the day to prevent you from going for leftovers in the fridge.
Drink coffee/tea to suppress your appetite.
Eating smaller portions will make your stomach "shrink" and you'll feel fuller quicker as well as less hungry throughout the day.
Try not to have dessert if there is.
If your family insists on eating more:
Tell them you're full.
Say that you're not very hungry right now because you had a big "snack" just before.
Say you'll come have more later.
