The prophet chuckled at their confusion, crossing his arms. Glowing cyan eyes stared directly at them. “Simply an observation. I’m sure they are the last things your contracts observe before you kill them off. How exhilarating.”

It was then that the muscle under Talon’s working eye started twitching. Physical... friendly... contact... UGH! Slowly his arms moved to lay around the younger, Talon’s eyes rolling in annoyance.

“Then you won’t mind me testing it , do you?”

Lips curl into a fang showing grin, violet hues shimmering with mischief. He prowls closer, clawed hand extending to curl around the other’s waist, waiting to strike as the seconds pass between them.

“…a hug. Hug me.”

At the sight of the glowing core, Talon exhaled sharply, but he would not flinch or make a comment. Instead, his view moved back to meet Ezreal’s as he continued to listen. After the younger had finished his little speech, Talon appeared a little lost in thoughts. Then he shook his head and a low chuckle was heard. “Am I a monster, too, then? Because I take people’s lives?” The gaze was lowered. “A monster is someone or something with cruel intentions, executing them for their pleasure or enrichment. A look alone doesn’t make one a monster. Neither does reasoning behind one’s actions for the sake of survival or protection.”

“An Improvement to my health?”

Ezreal repeats his words, bitter like the laugh that slips past the man’s lips , a flicker of pain that makes it way into glowing eyes. 

“I cannot improve my health, Talon. I am already doing the best I can ignore the whispers of madness and the pull towards Icathia. As much as I despise it there is no way for me to break free of the void. Improving my health would mean taking my own life. The pieces of void are the only thing that keeps me alive.”

No, he doesn’t hold it against the other to not know. After all he has never told him or goes around telling such things easily, how much he despises himself - but that need to live , survive. It runs far deeper than the void could ever reach.

Clawed fingers come up to pull up clothes that cover his chest. Not to show off, no. He’s got a nice built, for sure. But all that muscle and scars are nothing in comparison for the large gem like piece embedded in the middle of his chest, veins of corruption around it - scarring that vaguely looks like claws have tried to pry it out. A pulsing glow , a second heart and chance.

He doesn’t keep it open long, no. It’s his weakest point, the most vulnerable. And as much as Talon is a good friend there is only one other single person he even allows close to it.

“A monster? Well that depends. But surely I must be one , been called that many times. Not that It matters to me much anymore. Not like I can change my means of survival.”

A heavy sigh left the Noxian’s chest. “You know how grey-face magic works. I don’t have a choice.”

“Debatable… Just know that I am eviler than you. And I have a good memory. So think wisely about what you are going to do with this magic.” @voidwhispxrs​
