Idea:

What if scarynito is the resolution of people hacking into the game files to get info about its users for black market purposes.

What if this was the reason Sony killed himself. People using such a pure idea (giving kids and lonely people a friend) into nuturious purposes just broke him.

What if scarynito learned about the leaks but since his creator is dead and his programing skills cant compete with the hackers he tries to scare the users away so their infos doesn't get leaked and used

What if when you download the game you get the factory settings friendlynito and the experienced server scarynito at the same time

hits blunt. ok i am thinking about kinitopet and i think theres something very interesting that nobody seems to point out or notice:

there is clearly two different kinitos that you communicate with. like. the reason that the horror sections can be so jarring is that the kinito that scares you LITERALLY isnt the main kinito.

i dont know if its just a second character using kinito just as its vessel, or if kinito is really 2 seperate entities inhabiting the same body [i prefer not to use plurality terms when discussing this, so think of it more like a shared account. however, plural kinito IS slay as long as you dont use it to demonize.]

but like, these two kinitos are extremely obvious in 2 parts of the game:

during the drawing scare, kinito is kind of scared too. kinito LITERALLY did not do that. it would also explain kinito not really recognizing the other scare sections if kinito wasn't aware while it was happening

when introducing hide and seek, kinito refers to himself in the third person. which he never does [of course outside of reading n whatnot] otherwise. then, kinito says the session was cut prematurely, so its clear that "kinito wants to play hide and seek" was said by someone else

the scary kinito actually has a different art style than friendly kinito. im not joking. 3d modeling & coding, for those who dont touch those with a ten foot pole, IS an art and art styles are a thang. the scary kinito's style is more realistic, with really good lighting and the titular weird head movements [when you move the mouse, the way you look around has weird speeds]. friendly kinito's style is simpler with basic lighting and makes the use of flat/2d models & pngs in some areas. friendly kinito seems to also not be as good at development as scary kinito due to the time difference, but it could also be because scary kinito has been hogging up all the resources to slam out his games

as said, i think friendly kinito is only a little bit aware of scary kinito due to the aftermaths of that kinito's choices, but i also dont think scary kinito is very aware of friendly kinito's existence either. not anything specific but i feel it in my bones
