Curator: Ryan Seslow Location: Steinberg Museum of Art at Hillwood Commons, 2nd floor. Long Island University, Post Campus. Happy Friday, yes, indeed! Tonight, from 6-9pm, is the opening reception of the exhibition Concrete To Data. It will be open to the public until March 2nd.
Together with artists from five different generations - the oldest one ranging back to the 70s - artist and art professor, Ryan Seslow, has created a street art exhibition in a proper museum space.
According to Vandalog, Concrete To Data explores the history of street art and graffiti from golden age of NYC subway graffiti through to the emerging potential for digital public art in forms such as virtual reality environments and animated GIFs. Check it out and start your weekend off with a wow!

Broken heart bunny sick of pedestrians obsessed with their phone. Today's generation is so busy looking down at their phone that we now need to put messages on the ground! Wow. Eyes on the road, people!

"The Biggie came about because I am from Brooklyn and a huge fan. It is an oil painting that’s on my business card. I hades my card to Joe Ficalora, the curator at The Bushwick Collective and he literally asked me to reproduce the image on the card on the wall." - Danielle Mastrion
