Kaylinn, one of the Demigods of Pestilence

Found the motivation to finally finish drawing the second oldest of Kallamar’s kids! She was originally meant to look much more intimidating but she ended up looking endearing. She definitely ended up resembling Kallamar more than Almor did, though she did get some of her traits from Saleos.

Kaylinn (She/Her):

Kaylinn is a bit of an odd character by everybody else’s standards. She’s very friendly, sweet, and outgoing… if you ignore her complete lack of tact and comprehension of social rules. Quick to take things at face value and believing people with ease, she’s a bit naive when it comes to people lying or hiding their intentions from her. This leads to her being a prime target to get picked on, though she herself doesn’t realize that’s what happening, defaulting to thinking they’re just trying to be funny.

She’s the only person in the entire cult who seems to enjoy janitorial duties, taking pride in her work and being a bit too good at it, her clothes always pristinely clean and weirdly being able to tell whose waste is whose. She attempts to use her observations to correct people about needed changes in their diet, but most people just storm off when she does so since she inadvertently embarrasses them by mentioning their health details at a regular (or occasionally loud) volume. She’s not doing so maliciously, she simply doesn’t get what the big deal is. Despite her reputation around the cult, she’s a very kind and affectionate individual who just struggles with getting her intentions across.

Almor, one of the Demigods of Pestilence

Finally got around to designing one of Kallamar’s kids! He definitely resembles his mom Baalzebub more that Kallamar though.

I plan on making character sheets of all the Bishop kids, and I actually have most of them all sketched out! I just need to make them digital.

Almor (He/Him):

Almor is caring, cool and collected, making sure to act respectfully towards those around him. Being the oldest of his siblings, he tries his best to be a good role model and is very good with kids. He learned to be charismatic and developed an incredible patience, having had to talk his cousins and siblings out of trouble throughout his childhood.

Growing up, he showed great interest in sewing and fashion, spending a notable amount of time observing other follower’s outfits and weaving with whatever he found outside. Eventually, he became a proud and passionate tailor, having been taught by Shamura themself. Aside from his tailoring, he enjoys being an occasional babysitter to the younger kids in the cult.

Unbeknown to him, he is considered quite the charming eligible bachelor in the eyes of the other followers. He, however, is completely clueless to this and doesn’t realize when he is being flirted with or propositioned.

Karmellia “Karma”, the Demigod of Chaos.

A redesign of my leshycat kid over on this post!

I’ve honestly been itching to redesign them for quite a while. As I’ve improved in my drawing style, I’ve realized exactly what I didn’t like from my first attempt and can appreciate this version much more.

I’ve since developed a concept for a demigod AU I’d like to plan further, and thought Karma would be the best place to start with. More info on them below:

Karmellia (Any pronouns):

Born and raised within the cult grounds, Karmellia, more commonly called “Karma”, is a chaotic prankster who definitely takes after his dad. They enjoy messing with people a lot and keeping them confused, but tries not to take it too far as to not upset her other parent, Junifern (AKA My Yellow Cat Follower™️).

Aside from indulging in her rebellious nature, he enjoys the outside, spending time at the farm plots, doesn’t like to sit still, and DEFINITELY needs glasses. Though they have sharp teeth and a venus flytrap-like mouth, he’s a herbivore who prefers grass and cauliflower. She’s found other uses for their attributes, though, like frequently scaring farmers with their burrowing ability (hence the bell… not that that’s really helped anyone) and threatening to bite people with her sharp teeth or skewer them with his antlers.

Even with all his pranks and rule breaking, he cares for everyone in her family and will absolutely throw hands if needed… and if not. They’re the only one allowed to bully their cousins, after all.

COTL clothing/color reference for my own interpretation of the infamous Yellow Cat.

Decided to finally make a design for the Yellow Cat™️ since I plan on drawing them more often in the future. Although I struggled with the colors (like A LOT) I like how they turned out and I already have some story ideas in mind, so there’s that to look forward to!

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

It's still surprising to see people say that when they see the upcoming strike post I made that this is the first time they're hearing about it, especially because I've seen several posts now talking about the same strike.

That being said: regardless of what kind of blog you are, please spread the news about the genocide, the strikes, boycotts, etc.

Even if you are a small blog, spreading word allows for more people to know what's going on and also do their part in protests and strikes, and maybe even the right people will be able to do more than what you're able to do.

And reminder: there is an upcoming strike on February 18th-25th. Prepare accordingly, protest, boycott, call your reps, and spread the word so more people are aware.

One of the next generation of Demigods.

I’d like to state that I don’t have any sort of problem with the baby in-game, this was just for fun. I had actually sketched out ideas for the yellow cat and Leshy’s kid days before “Sins of the Flesh” released, but decided to wait until it did to finalize the design.

Aside from just finding the right combination of their characteristics to include, I found myself inspired by the Venus Flytrap. Theoretically , the point is that they’d bury themselves under the dirt with only their “lure leaves” (and antlers) sticking out and capture prey. Since they don’t have to hunt in the wild, though, they mostly just use this trick to mess with the farmers.

I imagine they’d enjoy pranks/mischief, messing with people, tending to the crops, being outside, sunny days, etc.

“You are challenged by Gym Leader Shamura!”

Shamura’s outfit was the one I had the least ideas for when I made my first drafts but I ended up liking it. I don’t have much to say about it other than the fact that I tried to incorporate silk and threads into the design.

…I know their hair kind of looks like Shinso from MHA, this was not intentional but it is what it is. My notes on the team are below:

My notes read as follows: “Shamura’s domain is cavelike with spiders and silk, but with much less humidity and water as Kallamar. Focus on poison types and spiders. Pokémon related to silk or webs. At least one psychic type because of the brain damage.”

So an Ariados for the spider thing and a Tarountula because it looks like the in-game item for silk, but shiny ones because the colors fit excellently.

I thought a Leavanny would also work great for the silk thing, maybe it was one they got from Darkwood.

The Drapion fit the poison and color scheme, as well as the Galarian Slowbro, so not much for me to note there.

Last but not least, the Sigilyph to be Shamura’s psychic type. I don’t really have a particular reason why I gave them this Pokémon specifically other than vibes and how strange their appearance is.
