Feeling like a scattered mess. Blah.

I love nights like this.

I ended up taking a much longer nap than I meant to after work and woke up around 8:30 and was hungry. So I made my way down to a bar in my neighborhood that has a Thai food truck. Picked up my food and enjoyed a can of pineapple suds with it. On the way back, I stopped into a bodega for a little ice cream treat. They have these Japanese fish biscuit shaped ice cream bars that I've loved since I was a kid; I used to eat them all the time growing up in Japan.

I walked in and ended up having a little chat with one of the workers there about how the summer heat is just around the corner and mentally preparing for that. Unfortunately, they were out of my favorite little treat but the owner ended up giving me two other ice cream bars on the house. Despite offering to pay, he insisted they were on him. It was a very unexpected but appreciated gesture. I fist bumped the owner, thanking him, and then headed back to my car.

I drove home, rad tunes playing, and the windows down. A completely uneventful and super chill little evening experiencing and enjoying my little part of the city. Fuck yeah.

I took a much longer nap than expected after work today. I woke up just before 9 with a howling stomach because I hadn't eaten. So I made a dope egg scramble for dinner. Suspicion confirmed, it was delicious.

Bluegill. I pulled this one out of a pond along one of my cycling trails.

I've been rediscovering my love for fishing over the past couple of months. I think I'm going to start keeping track of some of my catches on here. We'll see how it goes.

In this set I have:

1. Longear Sunfish

2. Redbreast Sunfish

3. Green Sunfish (smol guy)

4. Redbreast Sunfish II

5. Channel Catfish

The catfish was 14" and is my biggest catch thus far. It was also a nice break from all the panfish I seem to have a knack for catching.

I caught myself staring at this fixture for more than a few minutes. Each fixture had its own unique texture from the way the glass was blown and layered. It was definitely captivating and visually soothing.

Oh, hello.

It’s been a while, world. I forgot I had made this account. I shall do my best to keep up with it, I suppose. It will be a mix of my daily life and some of my work, I suppose.
