I recently got into I was a teenage exocolonist and really liked how nomi and rex would be in a relationship if you go for Marz… so I did what any good online dweller did and decided to make some Fanfiction for it.

It’s barely 1K words (994) and it’s a very VERY fluffy confession fic that I thought was pretty cute please enjoy y’all :)

(There is a lot of kissing and cuddling… so… hope you like it)

Nomi x rex confession fic

After spending a long day getting everything ready in the Vertumnan Pub, and the Pub nearly being complete, Rex and Nomi finally finished for the day.

The two were very tired but they both felt a strong sense of satisfaction and pride in their work. It felt good to finally be nearly done with the pub and to be able to officially be open.

Rex and Nomi were so tired and exhausted from the long hours of work, that they both just decided to spend the the rest of the night and the following morning resting in Rex’s bed

Nomi-Nomi, even thought they’ve been friend’s with him for their whole life on the heliopause, and vertumna… couldn’t help but feel something more than just friendship toward Rex. they always adored his presence and loyalty to everyone.

So when Rex suggested they laid and slept in the same bed after today…

Nomi-nomi knew this could be their chance to get everything out to him, even though it terrified them to nearly the point of panic..

About twenty minutes into they hanging out and laying together, Nomi realizes how hard their confrontation to both Rex and their.. romantic feelings… will be to confront..

Nomi shifts under the covers, sitting up and facing Rex as he lays with both his hands behind his head.. his ears perked up as Nomi takes a deep breath in.

“listen.. “ Nomi starts, laying back down as she wants to be eye to eye with Rex, he shifts on his side to face them as they speak.

“Normally we wouldn’t be this close.. Rex.” their eyes drifting to his lips, and back to his eyes

“I.. really ne- need to tell you something… “ they say, fiddling with their nails as they shift around uncomfortably in the bed.

“Oh! Really? Is this good news or bad news, if I may ask?” His ears perking up again

Rex looks back at nomi, completely oblivious to the seriousness in the tone of Nomi’s voice.

A slight giggle comes from Nomi’s lips as they look to Rex.

Quickly clearing their throat they start to speak again..

“Well this isn’t the best time due to how close quarters we are in… but I think I love you… I’m more than a friend way..?”

They get closer to rex, their chest and his touching, their once wandering eyes staring deep into his.

His cheeks turn to a light shade of pink as the words absorb into his mind.

Rex’s ears perk up upon hearing Nomi’s words, perking up with excitement and joy, and were full of wonder.

“You.. love me?”

Rex’s tail began to wag quickly with happiness, and his eyes became wide with shock but still had a twinkle of excitement in them.

“Yes.. I- I do.” Nomi says, their stare still following the man’s eyes across from them.

They scoot closer, chest to chest with him.

nomi stares down at his, feeling the pulsing of his heart as their chests touch.

Nomi can feel the shock and wonder and excitement flowing through Rex’s head as he thinks about the words that came from their mouth just moments ago.

Nomi looked up to him, Rex was blushing. It filled nomi with hope.

And with a light sweat on his forehead, Rex moved his mouth into a gentle and light smile, looking Nomi in the eyes and then moving closer to them, his lips just barely touching Nomi’s.

“I think.. I think I love you too- in a … not friend way too.” He says, his smile turning lies giggly and more romantic.

“I’ve always loved your cute face anyways nomi” he playfully says, he was intentionally teasing them, typical Rex..

it was clear he knew the seriousness, and chose to joke around with it to lighten the mood around them.

I can’t take this anymore… nomi says, pulling Rex into a kiss, their lips touching his with the grace of a once in a lifetime love.

Rex smiled into the kiss, his hands resting on Nomi’s sides as he kissed them.

Rex’s tail was wagging in excitement and the two of them stayed in the moment as they passionately kissed each other like true love.

Their hearts connected in both beats and love, nomi swings on-top of rex, cupping his face as they’re passionately push into another kiss.

Pulling away, Nomi confesses again.

“I’ve waited so long for that…” their eyes drifting from Rex’s.

slightly embarrassed at the sudden confession, nomi scratches his head and presses their forehead to his.

Rex smiled softly, looking at Nomi and placing a soft and sweet kiss on Nomi’s lips.

Rex’s tail was wagging and his ears were up, and his eyes were closed and he softly giggled. His cheeks burning with passion and true pride.

Rex was content and at peace for the long awaited and well deserved kiss. He stared again, watching nomi look away.

“Don’t be embarrassed, sweetheart” He says, giggling

“I can call you that right..?” He stops giggling, pulling Nomi’s face to his in typical retriever fashion.

“I would never want you to be uncomfortable..” he spoke, looking up at Nomi as they pulled away and passions looked into his eyes, the moonlight from the window glimmering inside his eyes.

“Your eyes are.. beautiful..” nomi tiredly spoke, they yawn as they compliment them.

They shift right beside Rex, placing their hand around his waist and cuddling onto him.

Nomi looks up to Rex as they cuddle into his chest.

“What are we.. now?” The anxiety clearly has taken its toll on nomi-nomi. Their tired gaze meets Rex’s once again.

Rex has a slight tearful smile as he responds.

“You’re mine.. forever and always”

Nomi blushes as they doze off, a look of happiness and love strewn across their face.
