A revision to the public land sale proposal has been dusted off and added back to that Big dumb Beautiful greedy Bill. A majority of public land including mountains, prairies, deserts, back country trails, recreation areas, lake sides, river gorges, and yes, even some coastal lands will be sold to the highest bidder if this thing passes.

There will be more expensive resorts, mass logging, and mining, and higher prices on many commodities due to monopoly and shortages.

There will also be less diverse wild lands, homes for wildlife, cattle grazing land, freshwater for fish, native managed land, lands for loggers, miners and cattle ranches to lease and less dark skies. Anyone rich enough could buy this land and use it for whatever they want. And, I mean anyone in the world. Once it is gone, it is not coming back.

The Tale of Two Cities according to Stephi and Heiko - Part 529

After taking a last week (or today until or after the storm/rain in hot summer weather), we take you to our bread and butter. We are here after all because we once posted pictures (at least I did).

Before we posted on the internet, we had two choices to see the pictures we took. One was to develop them ourselves or take the film to a shop and have them developed there. I never did the first but rather brought them to a photo shop (No, not the program).

The photo shops we show you today maybe still develop films but the word „express“ doesn’t stand there for nothing. In these shops you can have taken your pictures for your passport, insurance card, driving license or whatnot. And you can have them pictures usually within five to ten minutes. You can also get prints of your digital pictures pretty fast. The quality also isn’t that bad for a fast print. And the prices are surprisingly moderate of not super cheap.

You can also buy photo related items like frames, photo albums and whatnot.

The first picture shows and photo shop in Munich, the second picture has been taken in Cologne.

When have foulest been to a photo shop. For me it must have been last year t have taken my picture for my passport.
