Birthday Headcanons: Katsuki Bakugo x Various
Bakugo:
-As a middle schooler, the kids he hung out with always said celebrating birthdays was for little kids. As a result Bakugo genuinely still struggles to care about his own birthday. He refuses parties or anything of that nature because it's "beneath him," but he secretly loves when his friends/partner do something for him anyway.
BakuDeku:
-Even though they didn't get along in middle school, Midoriya always snuck a hand-drawn birthday card into Bakugo's shoe locker. Bakugo would ignore him that day instead of actively terrorize him, so Midoriya always took that as a good sign
(Platonic): Bakugo doesn't understand why Midoriya was still trying to be his friend after he had been nothing but mean to him. He never knew what to say to Midoriya when he was actively nice to him, so it was easier for Bakugo to leave him alone. (Romantic): Bakugo was dealing with a lot of internalized homophobia on top of the disappointment of losing his hero partner. Getting the birthday card from Midoriya would make his heart flutter and that scared him, causing him to avoid him for the day.
-After reconciling, Midoriya would always remind the rest of the class about Bakugo's birthday. He organizes a "surprise party" every year. Bakugo lashes out, but he nods a thank you to Midoriya every time. After the party ends, Midoriya slips Bakugo a hand-drawn birthday card. Bakugo (secretly) keeps them all in a binder under his bed.
Kacchako
-Uraraka genuinely thought that Bakugo hated his birthday until Midoriya told her otherwise. To save him from getting embarrassed, her gift to him the first year was just to prepare the spicy ramen she knew he loved.
-Midoriya always handled the party, so she and Bakugo would do something together the day after. Bakugo's favorite year was when he turned 18 and they went axe-throwing, but he won't admit Uraraka was better at it than he was.
Kiribaku
-Kirishima. LOVES. Birthdays. He will wish Bakugo a happy birthday every time he sees him. He decorates Bakugo's desk in class, ties balloons on his dorm's door--anything Kirishima can do to tell the world it's his best bro's birthday.
-Bakugo confronted him about it, and Kirishima admitted to him that when he was in middle school, people never remembered his birthday, so he goes over the top to make sure nobody feels the way he felt. Bakugo gets embarrassed, but lets him do it anyway.
Happy birthday Bakugo

Christmas Headcanons- Ochako x Various
Kacchako
As students, Bakugo makes a big show about how he "can't be bothered" to buy Christmas presents for anyone so Ochako wouldn't feel bad about not being able to afford gifts for everyone.
After learning about Bakugo's feelings for Ochako, Denki hung up mistletoe in the common room to try to get them to kiss. Bakugo loudly announced that the mistletoe thing was "fucking stupid." Before they went to bed, however, Bakugo sweetly kisses Ochako outside her bedroom as they had already been a couple for over a month.
As a couple, they decide not to buy gifts for each other, and instead will do something together. Some years they'll bring their friends along, but Bakugo relaxes more when they are alone.
As adults, they still have a very low-key Christmas, opting to spend the day together in their pajamas (when they don't have to work, of course).
MomoChako
Momo showers Ochako with gifts, but denies that any of them are for Christmas. They're all "just because." Ochako used to protest, but she accepts it at this point.
Ochako makes Momo something every Christmas, because what else is she supposed to get the girl who has everything? Ochako eventually becomes a master at yarnwork and Momo is obsessed with all of Ochako's creations
Momo returns the favor with a handmade gift. It's very clunky, but Momo is determined to make something without using her Quirk. She's embarrassed with how it looks, but Ochako wears it with pride.
They spend Christmas with Ochako's family. The Urarakas adore Momo, and Momo adores the cozy feeling of their home at Christmas.
Momo and Ochako do photoshoots for Christmas cards every year. They are always disgustingly in love in every picture, and their friends never let them live it down.
TogaChako
Prior to Toga's redemption, Ochako would leave a little treat where she knew Toga would find them--usually cookies or chocolates. Toga wouldn't give Ochako anything in return, but would treasure the treats.
Two years later, Ochako finds a friendship bracelet in the area where she left the cookies--pink and red beads with a single heart bead. Ochako never takes it off.
After Toga's redemption, the Uraraka family accepts Toga into their clan with open arms. When they present Toga with her own stocking at their mantle, Toga sobs uncontrollably for 10 minutes.
Toga learns she LOVES peppermint hot chocolate. The Urarakas always make sure they have a supply of it for her, even though she's the only one who drinks it.
Toga asks Ochako to do all the cheesy couple Christmas things-- mistletoe kisses, matching pajamas, movie marathons, all of it. Ochako happily obliges her.

:-“What are we?” Prompts-:
Cw: suggestive
By @me-writes-prompts
“Whatever you want us to be.”
“Good old pals who don’t want to admit their feelings for each other. That’s what we are.”
“Enemies. I mean, what else could we be?”
“Young and dumb.”
“Hmmm. You tell me.”
“Not this question again.”
“Coffee lovers.” “Lovers?”
“Work colleagues. What else?”
“Interesting. What exactly are we?”
“Childhood best friends.” “I mean, yes. But, what about something more?”
“Rivals, is my guess.”
“Two awkward nerds who can’t communicate about their feelings?”
“Whatever the fuck they call people that are not-yet-lovers-but-still-kiss-and-have-sex-sometimes. Friends with benefits, is it?”
“I mean…we’re friends, right?”
“Jeez, the last time you asked this question, we ended up arguing about it for hours.”
“Nah uh, we’re not going there today.”
“I know you’re not asking this question after we’ve been married for 7 years. Goodness.”
“Ummm, I don’t know. What do you think we are?”
“Idiots in love.”
“We are confused. That’s what we are right now, and that’s okay.”
“No, the right question is “what could we be?”

Relationship Headcanons: Kacchako (SFW)
Confessions/dating
Ochako confesses first, by accident, right before graduation. Bakugo doesn't say anything until she tries to backpedal.
Before confessing, Bakugo would prepare a lot of Ochako's favorite foods "by coincidence" when it was his turn to cook for the group. She never caught on that it was intentional, much to his dismay.
Izuku knew about their mutual feelings before anyone else, because they both admitted it to him during different vent sessions.
Their first kiss happens just after patrol together. Bakugo had been acting strange during patrol, so Uraraka approaches him as he's removing his gauntlets to check in with him. Once she's close enough, he pulls her close and kisses her, explaining after the fact that he wanted to do that earlier in the day, but knew his gauntlets would get in the way.
Bakugo rarely (if ever) initiates any kind of physical affection in public, but secretly loves when Ochako holds his hand or hugs him where paparazzi can see.
Once he warms up to physical affection in general, Bakugo loves casual touches. Specifically, he loves rustling Ochako's hair as he passes, or resting his hand at the small of her back when they stand together.
Both Bakugo's and Ochako's hero agencies try to keep their relationship secret, at first. Bakugo blows up (literally) on a sidekick for flirting with "his girl," so they're forced to publicize the relationship for the sake of public safety.
Their relationship is actually extremely well-received by the public and "Dynaravity" merch sales padded their hero salaries quite nicely.
Mitsuki Bakugo absolutely adores Ochako and constantly tells her that she's too good for her son. At one point, she suggested that Ochako would be better off with Izuku...which went about as well as expected.
Ochako's parents were a little slow to come around to them being romantically involved, but Ochako's mother melted when she walked in to the family room to find Ochako asleep in Bakugo's arms on the sofa. Ochako's mother tells everyone she can about the pure adoration in Katsuki's eyes, much to his horror.
Marriage
Bakugo proposes to Uraraka two years into their relationship, at the Sports Festival at UA after jokingly asking her if she wanted a rematch. Unfortunately for the students, the celebratory uproar this caused postponed the competition for three hours. (Aizawa lectured them about wasting his time, but embraced them immediately afterward)
Bakugo and Ochako both wanted Izuku to be their best man/man of honor. Izuku became an officiate so he could stand in the middle. Ochako's maid of honor ends up being Tsuyu, with Bakugo's best man being Kirishima.
Children
They end up having two children, two years apart.
Daisuke (大輔) Bakugo- Male. Sandy blonde hair (like Ochako's dad) that grows in all directions with round, mahogany colored eyes . Insanely bright, and very helpful. A bit of a people pleaser. Quirk: Trigger-Switch: Producing nitroglycerin sweat from his hands, Daisuke leaves explosive handprints on anything he touches. When he claps his hands together, the resulting spark ignites the marks at once within a 30 ft radius (this extends to a greater radius as he matures). The more he touches an object, the greater the explosion. Prolonged use results in blisters/burns on his hands, causing him pain.
Hanabi (華火) Bakugo- Female. Chocolate brown hair, worn in twintails as a child, which evolves into tight French braids as a teen. Angular burgundy eyes. Ambitious, a little rambunctious. Has her dad's temper but is better at controlling it. Quirk: Sparks Fly: Hanabi can create floating balls of nitroglycerin sweat which she can propel toward enemies. Her preferred method of attack is combining the sweat into a large glowing orb, bright enough to stun enemies (similar to Bakugo's Stun Grenade), before peppering her enemies in tiny explosions. As her Quirk requires a lot of sweat production, Hanabi is at high risk of dehydration on the field. Overuse of her Quirk leads to dizziness, and in extremes, may cause her to lose consciousness.

It would be weird- Kacchako (romantic) [Past IzuOcha]
Inspired by this post
Ochako found the better part of her class sitting in a circle on the floor in the common room. Maybe it was nostalgia that compelled them to relive their first bonding night in the dorms, maybe it was sadness at the countdown on their days together. Unlike their first year, however, a slightly-less-grumpy-but-still-grumpy Bakugo joined the festivities (at least mostly) by his own choice. He settled himself diagonal from her, with Kirishima and Mina separating the two.
They joked about the "Dekusquad" and the "Bakusquad," and how the groups blended seamlessly about a third of the way through their second year together. Couples emerged and ended with no animosity. The deep-rooted platonic bond between every member of the group seemed to be indestructible.
...It wasn't like Ochako hadn't thought about it. She's had crushes on a few of her classmates, but was too afraid to risk the fallout should their relationship go sour... even though, as she had mentioned, there hasn't been a nasty break up... ever.
Her current crush has tortured her for nearly a year, her mind consistently plagued with scarlet eyes and the crackle of firecrackers. His passion and drive has always drawn Ochako in, but as their friendship grew, she had seen an endearing side to the boy that had completely captured her heart.
But this was it. In less than a month they'd all be going to their new agencies, potentially never working together again. In less than a month, that secretly sweet smile would no longer live across the hall.
"Girl, are you good?" Mina shook Ochako's shoulder, chasing away the thought.
"Wha-? Oh, yeah, sorry! Just, lost in thought I guess," she trailed off with a laugh.
"So? Truth or dare?" Mina asked, a devious grin on her face.
Ochako swore under her breath. Izuku or Jirou would've given her something low-risk, but Mina was evil in these games. What she chose didn't matter--she was going to reveal something. "Ugh, Mina why me?" she whined. "Fine. Uh, truth? I guess? Please be nice to me."
Mina laughed, "No way. Hmmm," she tapped her index finger to her chin as she thought, glancing at Bakugo before turning back to her.
Shit. Why did she tell Mina she had a thing for Bakugo??
"Why haven't you dated anyone since your two dates with Midoriya? And I know for a fact it's not that you still like him," she teased. Ochako and Midoriya decided together that they loved each other in a strictly platonic way after a catastrophic attempt at kissing each other.
"Mina, please," Ochako cried, her face blooming in red as her friends laughed. She knew that all eyes were on her, but Bakugo's gaze burned into the side of her face, forcing her to look at the floor to avoid making eye contact.
"Wait! Mina, do you know who she likes?!" Hagakure called out, gloved hands flying up to cover her mouth [assumedly].
Ochako whined, admitting to the whole group that yes, she had feelings for someone, and yes, Mina knew their identity.
"I am sworn to secrecy," Mina shook her head, "So, O.cha.ko.chan?" she sang sweetly. "Why are you still single?"
Ochako buried her head in her hands, "I dunno," she admitted after collecting herself, "We've gotten really close as friends and... it'd be weird."
"How do you know?" a new voice spoke up, making Ochako's heart stutter. She snapped her head up, staring at Bakugo with wild eyes. "You're running out of time, Cheeks. You really okay with never knowing if they feel the same way?"
Oh God. Oh no. He knew. He definitely knew. "I don't. uh. I don't think it's mutual so."
"But you don't know?" Bakugo countered. Ochako swore everyone else disappeared, suddenly it was just Bakugo and Ochako, face to face.
"I guess not?" Ochako stammered out, "um. I-- I need to get a drink or uh. I'll be right back, someone else take my turn for me." She rose from her spot, half skipping out of the room to try to play off her panic.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Mina scoot around Kirishima.
In the kitchen, Ochako grabbed two ice packs and all but slammed them against her face. The cold sensation made her gasp, but she needed something, anything to think about except what just happened. She needed to calm down, and quickly.
She startled when the kitchen door slammed open. She felt two hands clap on her shoulder and spin her around. "What did Mina mean by--" Bakugo started to snap, before his eyes focused on the icepacks "What the fuck are you doing."
Ochako stared at him, mouth agape. "What did she tell you?" she forced herself to speak.
"Just that I needed to go after you. I fucked up, didn't I? I shouldn't have put you on the spot like that."
"It's not that." She set the icepacks down. Now or never. "It wasn't what was said. It was the fact that it was you that said it." She squared her shoulders, embarrassment evolving into frustration. "Bakugo, if you knew I liked you, why would you embarrass me like that?!"
"I-!" Bakugo faltered. He dropped his hands from her shoulders, dumbly pointing at himself with his left hand. "Me?"
Ochako blinked owlishly at the boy. "Are you saying... you didn't know?"
Bakugo screwed up his face, "No?! Because if I knew, we wouldn't be having this conversation, dumbass! I-" He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he took a deep breath. Ochako was too distracted by her own heart pounding in her ears to notice the crimson blush radiating from his ears.
"You were going to let us graduate without telling me?" he said after a while, his voice wavering as he tried to rein in his emotions.
"I mean, yeah. I don't want to lose you, and.."
"You thought you'd lose me what, if we broke up?"
"yeah? Or if you were weirded out that I liked you, or--"
"Stop. Stop. I," his hands found her shoulders again. "I was going to tell you on Graduation Day. That way if you rejected me I wouldn't have to think about you being across the fuckin' hall." She felt his hands tug on her shoulders, coaxing her toward him. Ochako beamed, throwing herself against him and wrapping her arms around him.
They held each other for a beat, before the rest of the situation reentered their minds. "We should go back, I don't want to miss our last real hangout as a group," Ochako lamented as she stepped out of his grasp. Bakugo nodded, gesturing for her to lead the way.
As they entered back into the room, the game was still in full swing. Kirishima was upside-down, doing handstand pushups in the center of the circle. Laughing at their friend's antics, the two settled back into the circle opting this time to sit side by side.
Kirishima flipped back to his feet, giving a dramatic bow to the cheers from the circle. "Bakubro! Did you see that?" Kirishima beamed at his best friend. "Bet you can't beat my record!" he teased, leaning down to be closer to eye level without sitting.
Bakugo scoffed, leaning back on his arms, "Shut the fuck up, you know I can kick your ass at anything." Ochako rolled her eyes, laughing lightly at his showboating. He glanced at her, the right side of his mouth curling up at her reaction.
"Okay, Fine. Bakugo. Truth or dare?" Kirishima asked, a challenge in his grin.
"Bring it on. Dare. And make it a good one, none of that baby shit."
"I dare you to climb up th--" Kirishima started, before Mina leaped to her feet and slapped her hand over his mouth.
"No! Physical challenges aren't a dare to Bakugo!" Mina interrupted. "We need to hit him where it hurt. Emotions."
The entire group crowed with laughter. Izuku laughed so hard his eyes began to water. "Shut up," Bakugo groaned. He shot an icy glare toward Izuku, "especially you, shithead." He shifted his gaze back to Mina. "Go ahead."
Mina's eyes met Ochako's quickly before returning to the blonde. "I dare you to confess to your crush." She smirks.
Bakugo deadpanned. "Nah. Can't do that. Gimme another one."
Mina put her hands on her hips, a smug look on her face. "What's the matter? Scared?"
"Nah. It's not that. It's just--" Reaching out, Bakugo hooked Ochako's farther shoulder with his hand, yanking her toward him. She not-so-gracefully thunked into him, her heart threatening to leap out of her chest. Ochako craned her neck to look at him, wide-eyed. Swiftly, Bakugo leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to Ochako's temple. Looking back to Mina with a toothy grin on his face, Bakugo smugly finished the thought, "I already did."
How many different ways can I write about Uraraka and Bakugo confessing to each other? When I made this side blog, I figured I'd be writing for other ships too, but once I started writing Kacchako, they have completely taken over my brain. I love them so much 😭 Feel free to request other ships if you want. Or if you have other Kacchako requests, I'd be happy to give it a shot! (I also might be working on a bigger fic, Actress/Bodyguard Quirkless AU 👀 But that one will probably be the first fic on my new, second AO3 account lol)

Touch-starved pt. 2 Katsuki Bakugo x Ochako Uraraka (romantic)
continuation of this post In this version, both Uraraka and Bakugo have romantic feelings for each other. If you want platonic Kacchako, read this!
"Stay?"
Bakugo doesn't answer right away. Right as Uraraka releases his wrist, however, Bakugo finally speaks. "Why?" he manages, his voice tight.
"Because I want you to?" she tries, replacing her grip on the boy's wrist. He flinches again. Uraraka frowns, "No retort?" she regrets the words the moment they leave her mouth. "Sorry," she apologizes quickly. "Come sit with me? We don't even have to talk, if you don't want to."
"Fine," he manages, allowing the brunette to lead him back to the bed. As they sit, Bakugo instinctively tries to put space between them but Uraraka doesn't seem to allow it. She matches his maneuver perfectly. Bakugo considers moving again, but opts to allow the girl's thigh to press against his.
They sit in semi-comfortable silence for a few moments before Uraraka spoke again. "Can I hug you again?"
"Why?" Bakugo asks. "I'll just crush you again."
Uraraka pouts, puffing out her cheeks. Bakugo suddenly can't look her in the eyes, coughing into his fist as he turns his head. "Will you stop?" she says teasingly, "I already told you it was just the angle. And it's not like I'm that fragile. You know that better than most people."
"That's true," Bakugo says with a short laugh. She has only gotten stronger as they've grown, not that she was ever truly weak to begin with.
"So? Can I?" Uraraka presses, praying she didn't come across as wanting too much to return to his arms.
"Whatever," he says in response, "I guess." Bakugo kicks his legs out, swinging them back in an attempt to gain enough momentum to stand. Uraraka stares at him in confusion.
"You just said I could hug you again. What are you doing?" she asks, the shame of rejection prickling her skin.
"I know?" Bakugo tilts his head slightly, seemingly just as confused as Uraraka. "I just assumed... I dunno. I needed to stand for that, or whatever." Bakugo's normally confident air fizzled into something Uraraka has never seen from the boy.
"People cuddle on beds all the time?"
"Cuddle?!" Bakugo exclaims, his eyes wide. "You said hug! Cuddling is--!"
"Just hugging but sitting down?" Uraraka snickers. She has never seen Bakugo so flustered, and likely never will again, so she's enjoying this sight for as long as she can. "Or laying down too, if you want."
"What are you saying?! That's some couple shit! I--We--" Bakugo growls in frustration, his face practically glowing in embarrassment.
Uraraka blinks a few times. "It's not like anyone would know. I won't tell if you don't want me to." She pats the mattress, "Are you joining me again or not?" Uraraka winces at her own tone. She was trying to comfort Bakugo at first, but her own annoyance has begun to twinge at her nerves. Is doing 'couple shit' with Uraraka that bad an idea for him?
Saying nothing, Bakugo flops unceremoniously onto Uraraka's bed. He seems upset. "Bakugo if you don't want to--" she cuts herself off with a squeak as Bakugo's arm wraps around her and yanks her to his chest.
The angle is awkward and a little uncomfortable. Uraraka tries to ignore the pain in her spine, Bakugo is holding her by his choice, when would she get to experience this again? Eventually, though, the pinch in her spine becomes too great to ignore. If she asks to move though, he might leave again. She'll have to be daring.
Uraraka leans hard into Bakugo's shoulder, twisting his body with the force. Bakugo makes a noise, confusion with a touch of irritation, but follows her lead, swinging his legs onto the bed. Perfect. "Lay down," she demands.
"Ha?" Bakugo stammers, "I-"
"My back hurts," she explains, separating from him to look him in the eyes. His eyes are wide, mouth slightly quivering as he seemingly fights against a new expression that attempts to take over his face. "It'd be better if we just.." She lightly pushed his shoulders, coaxing him down.
"You're.." Bakugo starts, he seems to decide against it, because suddenly Uraraka loses the resistance and crashes onto Bakugo's chest. He's going along with it?! Uraraka can't help but smile against the black fabric of his tshirt. "Is this okay?" He asks as his hand settles between her shoulders. His voice is surprisingly small.
Uraraka hums in agreement. Feeling brave, she slides one of her legs over his hips, settling her body, essentially, on top of him. "Is this okay?" she asks.
Bakugo says nothing, but the hammering of his heart gives him away. Uraraka suppresses a giggle. "Have you never done this before?" she asks.
"Have you?" Bakugo counters.
"Of course I have," she laughs. Her laugh quickly dies as she hears him scoff. She clarifies, "The girls have cuddle time, like, weekly, Bakugo. Remember what I said earlier? Hugs reduce stress. Other than Jirou, because she's not big on physical touch, the rest of the us all climb into Momo's bed all the time."
"....As a group?"
Uraraka rolls her eyes, "Of course as a group. It'd be too intimate if it was just... two.. people," Uraraka realizes her mistake too late and trails off, grabbing a fistful of Bakugo's shirt in her hand.
"Is this too-"
"No."
"But you just sa-"
"I know what I said. But it's fine. You're different." Uraraka's head is screaming. She vaguely hears Bakugo's breathing quicken, the gears turning in his mind. She has to change the subject right now if she wants their relationship to stay the way it is. "Why were you doing your work in the common room?" she asks again.
"Are we just going to ignore--" he starts.
"Yes," she mumbles into his chest, turning her face into the fabric of his shirt to avoid catching a glimpse at his face. Unbeknownst to her, her companion was staring at the ceiling, desperately trying not to overthink the situation they are in.
"Fine," he sighs. "I... uh." Bakugo struggles for a moment, starting and stopping the sentence a few times. "Nightmares," he relents. "I've had them since I was a kid, but it's only gotten worse. Being around people helps. For whatever reason." he explains, his voice rough as though the words physically hurt him.
"What happens in the nightmares?" Uraraka asks, rubbing soothing circles on his chest with her thumb.
"I don't know. I don't usually remember 'em. I just wake up feeling like I'm dying."
"Since you were little?"
"Since I got my Quirk, yeah."
"Did this help when you were little?" Uraraka asks, "like, snuggles from your mom?" She pauses. "Not that I'm comparing myself to your-- ew. That's NOT what I meant! I--" Uraraka lifts her head to better look at him in her panic.
Bakugo's laughing. Truly laughing. Granted, he is laughing at her expense, but Uraraka couldn't find it within herself to care about that. "Relax, Cheeks, I knew what you meant." His hand drifted from her shoulders to her hair, lightly pushing for her head to return to his chest. His hand didn't move, instead she feels his fingers tangle into her hair. "You're nothing like my mother." He murmured, more to himself than to her. "But honestly, I don't know. We aren't the hugging type."
"Not even when you were little?"
"Nah. Wasn't worth the risk with my Quirk. What if I got too sweaty and blew up my grandma? Be a surefire way to ruin Christmas."
Uraraka partially pulled away from him again, upper body straining in order to make eye contact with him. "That's bullshit! You were a little kid! They should've found a way! It wasn't your fault that your Quirk was strong!" Uraraka can feel the fire building within her. She sees him in her mind. Katsuki, maybe five years old, waking up from a dream only to have his parents turn him away. She feels her eyes burning with tears. He was probably so scared.
Bakugo visibly begins to stress. "It's fine! I'm fine. Uraraka, I learned to deal with it on my own! It-"
"But you shouldn't have had to!" she retorts. "You were little and you were scared!" The tears spill over and fall down her face, "You deserve to feel safe. You deserve to feel how loved you are."
Oops.
Bakugo's face twists in confusion. "What are you talking about?" Uraraka tries to scramble away to escape her own embarrassment but Bakugo quickly wraps his other arm tightly around her, locking her in place. "Nah, you don't get to leave after you said what you just said."
"Bakugo, please. I--" She hides her face into his chest again, her entire body ablaze in shame.
"How loved am I?" he asks. She whines. "You might as well say it."
"I don't like how smug you sound right now," she mumbles into his chest, ignoring the laugh she hears in response.
"Fine. It's getting late anyway." She feels him pull her off of him. "Goodnight," the bed shifts as he stands, shaking Uraraka out of the stupor she was in.
Swallowing her pride, she stands, snatching his wrist again. "You're so loved, Bakugo. By Deku, by Jirou, and Kirishima and Denki and..." she pauses, "a-and me."
She hears him take a deep breath, the sound more noticeable to her now that air refuses to fill her lungs. He turns around, wrapping his arms around her waist and picking her off the ground. He holds her there, red gaze boring into her. "Is that true?"
She nods, pressing a kiss to his cheek. When he didn't respond, she backtracked, "sorry. I thought maybe-- it doesn't matter. I can still, we can still-- if you have nightmares I want to help you, okay? This doesn't have to be weird-" he squeezes her, knocking the air out her lungs and silencing her.
"Will you stop?" He sets her down, before not-so-subtly wiping his hands on his pants. "It's not weird. I just--" he sighs aggressively. "I'm not good at this, okay?" He leans forward and ever-so-gently kisses the top of her head. "I have to go. But-- tomorrow? We can- I don't know."
"Okay, yeah. Tomorrow," she smiles, a giddy blush coating her already pink cheeks. "But Bakugo? I'm serious. If you have a nightmare..."
"You'll be the first to know." Bakugo echoes her smile with a small one of his own. "I- uh." he hesitates, "Goodnight."
Uraraka giggles, feeling what Bakugo couldn't get himself to say out loud. Not yet anyway. "Sweet dreams."

Touch-starved pt.2
Katsuki Bakugo & Ochako Uraraka (platonic)
continuation of this post this is the platonic version of this story. If you want the romantic route, read this
"Stay?"
Her request, though whispered, seems to echo across her dorm's walls. Bakugo doesn't respond for a long while, the silence only weighing on Uraraka further. When he finally speaks, his voice cracks.
"Why?"
"Because I want you to?" She lightly tugs on his wrist, "aandd because I don't think you should be alone right now."
He flinches yet again. Uraraka frowns. The fact that he isn't immediately angry at her is yet another indicator that the other teen is not okay. "Come sit with me. We don't even have to talk," she tries again.
"Okay," he relinquishes to her request, allowing the brunette to lead him back to her bed. They sit again, this time close enough that their legs touch slightly. Bakugo initially attempts to put space between them again, but Uraraka quickly scooches over to bridge the gap. Bakugo rolls his eyes, but doesn't move away.
Uraraka bumps Bakugo with her shoulder. "Can I hug you again?"
Bakugo stares at her, wide-eyed. "So I can crush you again?"
The girl scoffs, flipping her slightly overgrown bangs out of her eyes. "I told you, the angle was wrong. And I'm stronger than I look, you know that."
Bakugo huffs, a weak smile playing on his lips. "Yeah. I do." While he had defeated her in the Sports Festival, it was not as clean a victory as he had expected, and the girl has only gotten stronger since then. "Should I-" he starts, suddenly very awkward. He coughs into his fist, "stand?"
Uraraka gives him a strange look. "No? You know people cuddle sitting down, right?"
"Cuddle?" Bakugo balks. "You said hug. Cuddling is--"
"Just hugging but sitting down," Uraraka finishes. "It doesn't have to... mean anything, you know?"
Bakugo swallows hard, "You know I don't-"
"Like me like that? Yeah. I know. I'm not hitting on you, Bakugo, I'm comforting you," she rolls her eyes, laughing quietly at the absurdity of the conversation. "Sit back. Like, back on the wall."
Bakugo chews on his lip as he considers her suggestion, but ultimately listens to her request. He unceremoniously shuffles himself backward, his legs outstretched in front of him. Uraraka shifts backward to join him. She grabs his wrist again, gently directing him to lift his arm so she can get closer. She swings her legs over his, leaning forward to once again settle against his chest.
Uraraka smiles at him as his arm curls around her again, his hand settling on the small of her back. "Is this okay?"she asks.
"Yeah," he replies, forcing himself to relax into her touch.
"When was the last time someone's hugged you?" Uraraka asks again.
"Like this? I don't think ever," Bakugo's voice scrapes against Uraraka's heart.
"Not even when you were little?" Uraraka presses, idly rubbing circles against the side of his neck with her thumb. Bakugo unconsciously leans his head to the other side, allowing her thumb to continue its motions more easily.
"Who? My mom?" Bakugo laughs, but its sound is tainted. "She's not exactly the gentle type. And once my Quirk awakened--" he pauses, lifting his hand off her waist for a moment "--it wouldn't be safe."
Uraraka's thumb stops moving. After a moment, Bakugo's eyes finally meet her own. He quirks a brow, silently asking the question he'd never utter out loud. "Never?"
"What," Bakugo sounds confused. "It's fine. I didn't get coddled like that nerd did. It's not like it matters? I'm fine. I turned out fine." He pauses, "Uraraka stop looking at me like that."
Uraraka leans into him, letting more of her weight settle against his body. He tightens his arm to accommodate the shift, holding her close. "I'm sorry."
"It's fine."
She hesitates, debating on the follow-up question that's eating at her soul, "Were you jealous of him? That his mom would cuddle him, but your mom wouldn't?" Bakugo stares at the ceiling as he considers the question.
"Sometimes," he admits, rattling Uraraka to her core. He admitted it?! Just like that?! "I... have nightmares. A lot. And they've only gotten worse as I've started hero work. It would've been nice to..." He rolls his eyes at his own words. "Don't do that. I don't need to--"
"Don't get defensive," Uraraka snaps, lightly smacking the side of his head with her hand. "I'm your friend, Bakugo. This is what friends talk about."
He huffs, but falls silent.
"Is that why you were in the common room? Nightmare?"
"Yeah."
"Is this helping?" Uraraka feels his strong hand push into the small of her back. He makes an affirmative noise.
He glances at the clock, frowning. "It's late. For real this time," he says. "I should head to my room."
Uraraka agrees, and the two slowly separate. Bakugo seems reluctant to pull away, but he releases her. He lifts himself off her bed, heading once again toward the door.
Again, however, Uraraka stops him with a hand wrapped around his wrist. "Hey, Bakugo?"
"Mmm?"
"If you have a nightmare... Wake me up, okay? I'm serious. And we can... do this again, if you want."
"I--" Bakugo coughs again, embarrassment once again burning his face. "Whatever, I--" he pauses, sighs, and turns to her again.
Suddenly, his hands are wrapped around her waist, lifting her up to squeeze her again. Before Uraraka could react, she was back on the floor. "Goodnight."
Uraraka smiles as the door closes behind the other teen "Goodnight."

Touch-starved Katsuki Bakugo & Ochako Uraraka [ambiguous]
— “how long has it been since someone hugged you?” prompt from here
After the Sports Festival, Uraraka and Bakugo had a mutual respect for one another. That respect evolved into one of Class 1-A's least expected friendships. Uraraka would periodically invite Bakugo to her room for vent sessions or study time, and while Bakugo always reacted negatively in public, she would undoubtedly hear a knock on her door after dinner hours.
This night was no different. Uraraka approached Bakugo in the common room of the dorms, casually watching as Bakugo leaned over his English homework. He was sitting on the couch, using a large book as a desk, his pencil hesitating above the prompt he was working on.
"Hey Bakugo? Have you finished the history assignment yet? Could you help me with it?" she asks, her normally cheery voice lowered to slightly above a whisper.
Bakugo's red eyes dart upward from the paperwork to meet her brown ones. His brows furrow slightly. "What's the matter? Wait 'til the last second?"
Uraraka smiles sheepishly at her friend, "something like that."
"Pah," Bakugo rolls his eyes. "Fine. Lemme finish this first and then I'll-" he stopped, glancing around the common area. They were, for the most part, alone. Jirou is sitting on the other end of the room, but she seems to be distracted, headphones seated completely over her ears. Judging by the way her head is bobbing as she works, she can't hear them. "Meet you in the usual spot?"
Uraraka smiles, "Sure thing!" she flashes him a thumbs-up. "Thanks Bakugo!" She ignores his muttered 'whatever' and turns on her heel, heading back to 4th floor to tidy her room for his visit.
He must have been nearly finished with the assignment, because the knock on her door echoes out about 20 minutes later. Ochako slides the last book back on the bookshelf before stepping over to open the door, ushering the blonde inside.
Bakugo shuffles in quickly, waiting for the door to shut behind him before speaking. "So how far did you make it on the assignment? Did you--"
"What's going on with you lately?" Uraraka interrupts him, one hand on her slightly popped hip.
"What the hell are you talking about? I'm fi--"
"Don't you 'I'm fine' me Bakugo Katsuki." At the sound of his given name, Bakugo visibly flinches. "You were doing your homework in the common room. You always do your work in your room, never the common room. But you didn't want to be alone, right? So? What's going on?"
Bakugo growls, but his shoulders drop. "You're as bad as the damn nerd, you know that?"
Uraraka pursed her lips slightly. She sat on her bed, patting the spot next to her on the comforter for him to join her. She still had the school issued bedding--the matcha green covers both clashing with and somehow matching the girl perfectly. Bakugo huffs a sigh before sinking himself onto the mattress, just far enough away that his legs don't touch hers when he relaxes. "Is that what this is about? Are you stressing about Deku again?"
Bakugo turns his head to glare at her. "Not every thought I have is about that dumbass, you know." He sighs, realizing his mistake. "You're already done with that history homework."
"Not important. Bakugo, please. You can tell me. I won't tell anyone, not even Deku." She places a hand on his shoulder.
Bakugo's eyes widen, his shoulder tensing under her touch. He doesn't shake her off, but it's clear he's uncomfortable. Uraraka quickly removes her hand. "You don't have to tell me, if you don't want to. But--" she hesitates before doubling down, a determined look steeling her gaze. "Do you need a hug?"
"What?!" Bakugo hisses, leaping away from her and off her bed. His feet slam onto the floor, making them both freeze. Bakugo looks down as though he is staring through the floor before he mumbles "She's still in the common room. It's fine."
"I'm serious Bakugo. I feel like you're not okay. And we learned in class that hugs actually can reduce stress. Sooo," she stretches out the word as she gets up from her bed. She takes a sliding step toward him. " Let me help you."
"I don't need a fucking hug, Pink Cheeks."
She raises a brow, "I disagree. How long has it been since someone hugged you?"
His scowl falters. In this moment, his face loses its usual anger. "It doesn't matter."
"Yes it does. You deserve affection, Bakugo." She takes another step.
"Stop," he warns.
"Do you actually want me to?" She counters.
He hesitates again. "...I don't care." Uraraka watches as his face slowly changes color. Shy Bakugo is unbelievably adorable, but saying that in this moment would mean certain death.
She reaches out her hands, pink fingertips facing upward. "Can I?"
"Whatever," he says. Uraraka knows the boy well enough to know that that's the closest thing she will ever get to a 'yes.' She beams at him and closes the gap between them.
Uraraka slips her arms under Bakugo's, her hands resting firmly on his shoulder blades. She tucks her head under Bakugo's chin, nestling her face into his chest. The hug is awkward, Bakugo's steel muscles refusing to budge as the boy tenses under his friend's grip. His heart audibly thuds against his ribcage, the drumbeat loud in Uraraka's ear "You can hug me back, you know," she teases. "You know how to hug, right?"
"Shut the fuck up. I know how to hug, asshole."
"Could've fooled me," she counters. He grumbles, but Uraraka feels his arms start to move. Starts to feel him pull her closer. She smiles against his chest as his shoulders relax. "This is nice." She says after a few seconds. "I'm sorry I doubted your hugging skills," she joked. Bakugo doesn't say anything. Uraraka waits a bit, but still, the normally explosive teen is silent. "...Bakugo?" She tries to lean back to look at him, but his grip on her holds firm. "Bakugo," she tries again. "What is it?"
"Nothing," he mumbles. His voice is tight. His vicegrip only tightens, causing Uraraka to gasp in surprise.
"I can't breathe," Uraraka manages, slapping his shoulders with her hands. She feels his grip loosen abruptly, the muscles in his chest once again a steel wall of anxiety. She tightens her grip before he can push her off. "No no it's okay! The angle was just wrong, that's all! You don't have to let go," she rambles.
"Let go," he orders. Uraraka flinches at the razor's edge in his voice. She obeys, untangling her arms from him and stepping back.
She sheepishly looks up at him through her bangs. He refuses to make eye contact; instead his crimson gaze burns a hole in the wall of her room. His ears are equally radiant, the fiery blush of shame burning bright. "Sorry," she whispers.
"It's late," Bakugo states, turning on his heel to face the door. The air is thick. Uraraka's heart has turned to lead, dropping through her ribcage to settle into her stomach. She tried to make him feel better, but if he leaves now, he'll only be worse off. She doesn't know why, but Bakugo absolutely can not be alone right now. "Night-"
Uraraka's hand darts out, wrapping securely around his wrist (with her pinky lifted to avoid floating him by accident). "You didn't hurt me," she tries.
"Okay."
"I'm not afraid you'll hurt me."
He turns his head to the side, not quite able to see her behind him. "Okay?" he restates.
"Stay?"
