I always imagined Isu daycares where the kids just play in these all day and chuck the Apples at people’s heads. Imagine Aletheia just being like, “Yeah no Kassandra you can’t go in there” and she just walks in and sees little toddler Isu in tiny chitons just-playing Episkyros in the room with the Apples. Girl would be traumatized.

1. Favorite color: Sage green/pastel blue/pastel pink. I’m a huge lover of the springtime floral colors! I’ve painted my room in pastel blues and pinks to match that lol.

2. Last song: From Eden. I’m a Hozier girl through and through; he’s my spirit animal for sure. This song has been on my Spotify indie playlist for years, and has inspired so many fic writes :).

3. Currently reading: America’s First Daughter. I’m a sucker for historical fiction, and this book is such an eye opener of how people lived in the 18th century and the complexities of women’s lives back then. I did some deep diving on my family’s history throughout the read and found out I’m related to Thomas Jefferson through marriage which was neat!

4. Currently watching: Solo Leveling. I’m an avid anime watcher and mainly watch shoujo, but clips from the show have been popping up so much on my TikTok that I decided to give it a try and now I’m hooked. If you ever want to give solo leveling a watch, DO IT.

5. Currently craving: Honestly, Shumai. My mom spent her life in Malaysia and Hong Kong before she moved here to the States for college and shumai is one of her favorite things to cook at home. It’s so delicious and goes great with crab rangoons and dumplings!

6. Coffee or tea: Tea! I have a rare type of ADHD where coffee makes me extremely tired; tea is the only thing that really gives me energy in the morning. I’ll drink espresso after I have my daily cup of green tea for the day, but other than that I try to stay away from it in the mornings :).

3. Currently reading: Peau d'Âme by Aude Ziegelmeyer, so far I'm honestly mesmerized, I love it so much

4. Currently watching: A discovery of witches! I'm currently going through the last season and this show is not talked about enough. It's gorgeous and the actors are brillant.

5. Currently craving: A strawberry cream cake. I'm learning how to cook one to be able to make one for myself for my birthday x) As a little gift to myself

6. Coffee or tea: Coffee in the morning if I've had a sleepless night, black, no sugar. And tea during the day, as a little comfort drink. I like a good white tea or an earl grey! I like herbal teas a lot as well, a good lavender tea or jasmine tea is always amazing.

Childhood ended for me when I grew up, but it started again when I went to the inner city Italian restaurant my family frequented when I was little and saw my name spelled out in my kindergarten handwriting etched on the wooden table I sat in so many years ago :).

the thing is that childhood doesn't just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it's going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it's going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you've suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself
