Just to remind you all, the entire fucking point of shipping and fanfiction is to explore potential scenarios

Shipping doesn’t mean you want it to be canon any more than anything else you put in a fanfiction

You can ship two characters who have never met, you can ship two characters who hate each other, you can create all sorts of AUs to explore how their relationship would be different in that situation

Canon events do not fucking matter when it comes to creating an AU… that’s the whole purpose of an AU

If you claim to understand the point of shipping yet hate on anyone for shipping certain characters because of how they’re written in canon you do not understand the point of shipping

i know there's plenty of strong jawed big meaty muscle man jason todd fanart out there and that's fun and all but i wanna see baby face jason todd.

jason todd is 19-22 years old he's young he probably hasn't lost all the baby fat yet. I like to think of cute baby jason who was tiny cause he was malnourished just coming out of the lazarus pit more fit and healthy but still the youthful baby face cause then like dick recognizes him like "oh you've grown still baby though" and jason's like "stfu" also it'd double as bonus point for wearing the red hood because imagine he takes it off and the villains are like "we're being beat up by a child????" and then get shot in the kneecaps.

or even better batman is happy that jason still looks boyish cause that means he's not totally unrecognizable from the boy he knew even if jason doesn't feel that way.

I love, love, LOVE it when I can tell a fic author has integrated their specialized knowledge in a fic. I was reading a fic that at some point included the character going to visit an art therapist, and it's so clear that the author is an art therapist themself, and the details included are just immaculate and I love it. I've previously read about a character doing fencing for no other reason than the author clearly wanting to write a sport they understood. A character being given a hyperfixation on bugs just so the author can infodump themselves.
