I remember seeing the drafts for the first and last pieces on her Patreon… I’m especially soft about the Lumity one because not only are they playing sports together and sweating but also. This is Luz getting to play Grudgby at Hexside with her girlfriend all over again AFTER the finale, after the pain and trauma, in the years leading up to the epilogue. Part 5/8 of some samples of my boards from The Owl House s2e16 “Hollow Mind”

Just a general note for the all the installments of these boards is that there were a lot of dialog changes, lore element additions, and additional character acting notes from Dana that I don’t think I ended up addressing. Heck, I was just as surprised by a lot of reveals as the audience because I was drawing a bit blind. So, since I hadn’t worked with Belos before, I wasn’t sure how to play him. I made him a lot more straight up disgusted and disdainful of Hunter, but I love the direction Dana went in to make him like sinisterly calm and cool and collected. I tend to go right to straight up frazzled, angry, evil with evil characters. I am not calm, cool, collected and find it hard to channel that energy haha And Dana thought of the amazing hair flick detail, so good. ToT
