Do you sometimez have days where nothing you draw comes out quite right, even though you were perfectly fine the day before

Yes. I have "off" days with my ability to draw. No matter how many times I've drawn the same character or object, sometimes nothing comes out right.

It happens with writing too. I might be brimming with ideas or have a head full prose one day, and the next, I can barely compose a coherent sentence.

I usually chalk it up to physical or mental fatigue, but I'm honestly not sure why it happens. I know multiple other artists who've described the same intermittent experience, though, so I don't think it's uncommon, and it's probably not a skill issue.

Mead of poetry

I think this is the first purely rocky fanart ive posted lol. The title comes from a norse myth of the same name. its mead that gives whoever drinks it the ability to make beautifu poetry. Its also made from some guys blood so that cool.

Ramble about what inspired the art:

Ive mentioned the fossegrim a few times before but its a mythical creature i think fits rocky pretty well to. Long story short its a pretty dude who sits in waterfalls playing beautiful fiddle music. Though sometimes its depicted with a harp as well.

its also pretty similar to nøkken and seemingly the same though ive grown up with them being seprate myths. Its is said that that nøkken often drowns people must have one person a year. So fate picks a person and they are fated to drown.

I swear to god ive read somewhere that during the romantic era, many people wrote poems about the fossegrim emphasizing him being lonely and isolated but i cant find it now. so that another trait that makes rocky remind me of it.

We all feel like that at the end of some days don’t we buddy? I’ve been really feeling the coloring on the last couple of pages. I keep forgetting that you gotta push through some strips that look a little off to get to the ones you like. Same that what happened with Balls and the black and white pages. I got to a place where I really liked those pages over time.
