Nothing in life that is worthwhile is easy. Right now I'm building a business, I have owned my own business in the past however I did what most people do...buy a business license make some crappy cards and word of mouthed it. I had a cleaning business and a couple of jobs but I fizzled out when I realized it was work and wasn't easy. Well!!!! ROUND 2 coming at ya! Except I'm older, more knowlegable and motivated to actually do this properly. I have been working nonstop before I even launch my new endeavor but man will it be worth it. I truly believe that if I would have continued with my cleaning company I would have expanded and grown it into an amazing thing...but ce la vie that is what learning is all about. I know where I went wrong and why. This time is going to be for all the marbles. I won't stop until I succeed and I will succeed, this I promise you. I'm doing this because I want to provide a service to the public beyond compare in customer connection and I want to provide an incredible place to be proud to work for. This is just the beginning. What does freedom mean to you!? Does it mean more money? Being your own boss? Having a boat? Having all the toys you want? I agree all of those things sound amazing and some of those I want to achieve. However after changing how I think, I truly believe that freedom lives inside your mind. You could have more money, be your own boss, have every thing you ever wanted...but if you are in a state of misery and worry you're just going to have alot of stuff and be miserable. I've met people with nothing who are more free in their mind than people with anything they want. Take the scene from Shawshank Redemtion for instance where Andy is in solitary after the music incident(if you haven't seen it or read it go do that!!) He remarks that he had the music to keep him company and points to his head when he is telling his friends about it. You are only free if you're free in the mind. I truly believe freedom isn't attained through items or money but by gratitude for the things you have, the relationships you build and the feeling inside you that tells you, you are blessed and highly favored, you deserve only good and only good things will happen to you. Believe it, preach it and live by the freedom inside your mind. How do you handle a bully? Or a physical altercation? Or a verbal one? Life is not always peaches and cream and sometimes you will have to stand up for yourself. Sometimes you will have to stand up for others. I'm not talking about going out looking for a fight but sometimes that fight comes to you no matter what you do to avoid it. Now I would consider myself a master at the art of de-escalation. If and when possible I like to put those fires out with logic and reason, communication and empathy. But 1 out of the 9999 problems you may face could turn and there is no options but to face it head on. So I implore you, be ready, don't be a victim, have confidence in your physical nature and health. There are martial artists with no arms or legs. There are avenues of physical training and physiological tactics, but it all boils down to execution and knowing how to handle situations. It's not going to happen often but for the one time it may, be prepared. So please don't be a victim because sometimes the world hits you, and you need to know how to throw a block because sometimes no one will be able to save you if you don't save yourself. But I'm warming up to my voice... 😓😁 Social media is such a powerful tool when used properly. I cannot believe how easy technology has made things that were once so hard. I was recently at my local museum @kelowna_museums and they have an amazing old time radio station set up...I literally press a button record and boom, it's out to the masses. No team of people(yet) no studio...(yet lol) but for real I am so greatful to live in this age of enlightenment. And it seems to me that there is a large movement on the horizon, a movement of positivity and motivation. A movement that can reach as far as you want if you work hard enough to reach people. My goal is just to help. Today...was a bit of an off day for me. An understatement to say the least. I found myself getting angry like I used to over petty small things, recently I have been feeling quite "unshakeable" so why today? What was different? Well I'm still not sure but the important thing is I recognized the fact it was happening. I took a step back outside of myself and asked myself what was the purpose for today being the way it was? Well sometimes things just happen, everyone is human and no one is perfect...I mean one of the people I look up to most Tony Robbins almost died from eating too much fish...and that man has his shit together more than...pretty much anyone. The world and your path is not set in stone and no one has it all figured out. Sometimes you will get tested, and you will get angry. Just don't lose your cool, breathe and realize the moment will pass and the problem can't be solved by adding anger on top of it. It's like pouring jet fuel on a fire to put it out. Ingenuity and persistence are the keys to success. Anyone who has accomplished great things has persisted through the roughest times you can imagine, they have lived through the storm of life. Alot of the time I hear people saying "they were born lucky with money" or "it's all about who you know" well let me tell you...if you don't know the right people go meet them, if you don't have enough money, make more. Easier said than done? No. Anything is possible if you think outside the box and persist, I know people who go garage sailing and then post the items for more on line, I know people who at the end of the college year go collect allllll the amazing free stuff rich kids leave out to take...free, I'm talking designer clothes, textbooks, laptops. What I'm saying is...if there is a will there is a way. If you can't find a way, make one. No one in life is going to look out for you better than you and no one is going to give you anything....except maybe those college kids. Action shot!!! Can I hold it for long? No. Maybe 3-5 seconds...maybe but let me paint a story for you, I remember vividly as if it was yesterday grade 9 talent show. Me, Gog Ranchero(for anyone who went to Rutland Senior 2002-2005 or Springvalley middle you know who I mean, literally the craziest person I've ever met) and his cousin Jose both from Spain. The plan? To enter and do a handstand performance. They were awesome, incredible, they walked 20 feet on their hands and ended it in the worm. Me....well I got 3-5 seconds up and kept falling. Since that day I have been working on perfecting my handstand and I will continue until I have full control over my body. The point I'm trying to make is two points: 1. Do not let your failures kill your dream, let it propel you to accomplish it and more...destroy it, surpass it beyond even your expectations and 2. Things take time, it won't happen for you overnight, or next week (depending on what it is.) Keep going and do not stop, you will get there you will win and it will feel amazing. Now a days I can walk almost infinitely on my hands, And one more thing....if anyone knows Gog or h Jose Where ever they may be I really want to see them again they were good dudes! Life is all about balance, no one can work 100% of the time and no one should be 100% lazy. This is why I enjoy yard work so much, for me It combines leisure and work. For those of you lucky enough to have a yard I suggest going out and getting in tune with the plants and the frequency of the world. It combines a sense of meditation while being able to get some stuff done. It makes you feel renewed and energized, so many of us are lacking vitamin D! Don't burn but get some sun. We need it in our lives. So I hope everyone is having an absoloutely amazing blissful day! Get out and get some gardening in while you can! But don't forget there's time you need to work. Nothing inspires me more than a beautiful view. I used to feel trapped in the town I live, I was born and raised and I haven't travelled much. I'd talk to everyone who's been to extraordinary places and done things, never thinking that is going to be me. I counted myself out before even trying. But I realize now that it was because of the belief I had in my own mind. Now the view that once bummed me out, inspires me to do better in my own life, to reach new heights and connect with my community. Now you may think...bummed out!? Are you crazy, that's beautiful!! Well anything becomes mundane when you do experience it over and over. This is why you have billionaires who are depressed. They are not sound inside themselves. Remember when you wanted what you have now? I sure do. But now I want more, and the same will happen when I reach that. The only thing now is I remember a time when I would get depressed wanting that "more" I used to work for Concord Security. I liked the job, made friends...and some enemy's...but there was a time when I remember looking out the window of the truck we drove in the winter, stuck, depressed and feeling hopeless for finding anything better. The problem? Not the job. Not that I couldn't find another, I was stuck in my mindset. I was convinced I would be there forever as if I wasn't destined for anything better. Now any job is ok if you're happy with it. But I wasn't happy, instead I took out my depression and lack of motivation in the form of anger alot of the time. Coworkers from the past would constantly tell me "you'll be here in 20 years..." they counted me out because it's what I was portraying to the outside world. Well I did move on, and now although happy with my current job, I'm telling you right now, it's not my dream, it was a goal that I achieved. My dream is to finally make the move to owning my own business. Currently a work in action. It will take time, hard work and dedication. But one day I will accomplish this. Too often people are stopped by others or by their own inner voice. It is important to get out into nature and explore. To get exercise in a pleasurable way! One cannot live their life in an office or a cubicle as so many of us so these days. When was the last time you got out and hugged a tree! I'm not kidding. Walk barefoot on the grass touch the ground make full hand contact. Feel the frequency of this beautiful world we live in. So many of us are busy and I get that. But we are human beings, from nature we came. We need it in our lives to feel the fresh air and water, the wind and rain, the sun and dirt. We shuffle through life driving from the office to the store and then home to watch our idiot boxes. Now I'm a fan of movies and tv, but how much are you missing by vegitating in your seat. Get out at least twice a week for minimum 20 minutes. Reconnect with mother earth and show your appreciation, go for a walk plant a tree or maybe don't squish that bug, whatever it is just add some positivity to this world and to your existence. I love the sky. I love the day time, the night time. I love looking up at the grandness of it thinking about all the people who have ever lived and looked at the same sky.
