Hi! What was your experience at Ringling like? I've been accepted into a few illustration programs, but I think I want to choose Ringling! Thank you 💖

Hello! I'm so sorry if this is super late- but it was overall pretty good! The classes aren't super difficult but the workload can sometimes be overwhelming. They teach a lot about the different industries available so that's always super important info. The biggest downside I think is there is clear favoritism and a lot of politics in the illustration department, but tbh that might just happen everywhere. I hope you enjoy!! :)

Also also!! Sorry for the double ask, but how do you manage such beautiful colors??? They're so bright and warm! Is there a specific method or process you follow when picking up which color to use on certain pieces or is it more go with the flow?? Sorry if this question has been asked before I'm just a mega fun of colorful art and color theory and your art is like eye candy to me

Hello!!!! I'm so sorry this took so long to answer!! (I actually don't know when u asked and idk how to find out) but I actually don't have any preplanned anything with my colors lol!! I genuinely start with whatever is most interesting to me which is usually the faces + hands, then hair, then the clothes and then I try to match the vibes/ mood that are forming with those colors with the background. Not sure if that makes sense but I'm also like a little color blind and I think what looks normal and engaging color wise for me looks extra bright to other ppl and I think that's fun :)
