Y'all know what's stupid?
The fact that the same people chanting for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire (meaning that they're okay with leaving the hostages with Hamas) are chanting for intifada (violence against Jews/Israelis).
I'm not sure if I've made a post about this before but if I have then I'm doing it again.
How can you call for a ceasefire but then call for waves of violence within the same movement, frequently from the same organizations? Those two calls to action are directly opposite to each other. You can either stop attacking us and we'll no longer have a need to defend ourselves and there'd be peace, or you launch a systemic series of attacks against us and we respond, as any nation would do.
Calling for a ceasefire and simultaneously calling for intifada is saying you want one-sided violence in which Jews are expected to just lie down and die at your convenience. And we won't. We never have, and we never will.

I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"
And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.
Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?
It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

my biggest btvs pet peeve is when people act as if willow doing questionable stuff is out of character... besties, one of the first things we learn about her is that she "accidentally" decripted the city council's security system before she even met buffy, girly will do anything as long as she has built a good enough excuse in her head and thinks she won't get caught!

Wow. Goncharov came out fifty years ago. It feels like it was just a year ago that I first laid eyes upon it
